Another inferior public school system in a blue state

Anti-capitalist teacher promotes anarchy, 'loves' when students have 'no respect for authority'

A Minneapolis science teacher, who recommends teachers include anti-capitalist materials in their classrooms, praised the idea of having no respect for authority.

The teacher at Highland Park Middle School, Mandi Jung, frequently posts videos on TikTok espousing anti-capitalist and anarchist philosophies. Anarchism is skeptical of all justifications for authority and seeks to abolish systems like capitalism, which it claims maintain unnecessary coercion and hierarchy. Jung also said that she identifies with the Industrial Workers of the World, an ideological union with ties to socialism and anarchism.

"My students this year have no respect for authority," the Saint Paul district teacher said. "And I love that in a person because I have no respect for authority whatsoever. But it has been a frustrating year because I am the authority. So I'm like, ‘Damn the man,’ but I am the man."

Gee! Florida public schools teach Math,  English, Art, Music, History, Geography, Civics, Science. Stuff people actually NEED to survive in society.

And a Minneapolis teacher goes the opposite way?

This being in the same Minneapolis that gave America this?

Yup. Seems to show that "no respect for authority" thing.

Gee! What are they teaching those brats in Minneapolis?

Uh, fellas. DON'T MOVE TO FLORIDA. Our teachers are superior. They don't put up with this crap. And if you riot, you'll go to jail and likely have a felony on your record.

Just stay in your shithole blue state, pay higher taxes and burn all the private businesses you want.

"So if little girls experience their menstrual cycle in fifth grade or fourth grade, will that prohibit conversations from them since they are in the grade lower than sixth grade?" Gantt asked.

McClain responded, "It would."???

Uh, EXCUSE me for a moment. Is CBS News (the network that actually put forth FALSIFIED DOCUMENTS in order to influence a presidential election) suggesting that ALL girls in the fifth or fourth grade are ORPHANS and ALL live in orphanages? NONE of them have mothers? Seriously?

(GEE! AUNTI EM. BACK IN THE DAY LITTLE GIRLS WERE INSTRUCTED ON MENSTRUATION BY THEIR MOTHERS, PRIVATELY AND PROPERLY.)

This is why CBS news is tanking in ratings. it's just plain FULL OF SHIT.

One who spoke up. Do you really think that teacher is the ONLY one who believes this commie crap?

I believe in verifiable, objective facts not making assumptions based on the existence of one or a few outliers.

BTW.. verifiable, objective facts is not links to articles, subjective opinions, and supposed experts weighing in.

My guess is that you think that all teachers (100% of them) are of this ilk. All or nothing logic is for those who can't grasp nuance or grey area.

What a shithole state you live in.

No-one is saying they can't learn it from their parents.  They are saying they can't discuss it at school.

Miserable, nasty little toads.

I have been working as a substitute teacher in three Florida counties since 1999. As far as all teachers are of any "ilk," there are no TWO SCHOOLS that are of any "ilk" Each school is like a separate country, in the way it does things, it's culture, EVEN ITS TEXTBOOKS. Florida teachers are very independent and views all over the political spectrum.

(I learn this by sitting in the teacher's lounge during lunch, taking two SHUTTHEFCKUP pills and listening to the real experts-THE TEACHERS--talk. Perhaps you should, too. Maybe you'd learn something.)

They may agree on a few things: (causes of student misbehavior in class, parental negligence of their kids, etc)

As far as linking to articles for whatever proof, you have liberals here linking to CBS, CNN, NPR and other extremist left wing hate sites and pretending they are news and fact. I find RELIABLE factual sources.

There is a difference.

First, I am married to a teacher and have been since 2008. Second, I have taught at the high school and community college level. So I have a background... thanks for assuming and as usual make yourself look less than brilliant.

I know your type.. your factual sources are simply subjective opinions that you agree with. If you are truly objective... you do not need someone else to summarize or report stuff for you. When I want info on jobs for example.. what do I do? I go to the raw data. Raw data... not someone giving me an opinion on the data.

The left wing goosestepping opposition to this bill is the same as the sex education (teaching kindergarteners about oral and anal sex). The liberals cannot trust the parents to do this.

Kids can "discuss" anything in school they want. But teachers fifth and fourth grade levels and down have to confine their opinions to the ACADEMIC subjects they are required BY LAW to teach. It's up to the PARENTS of those little girls to instruct them in the usage of tampons, kotex, etc.

I don't think anyone in Florida is worried that a telekinetic named Carrie White is going to discover her period in high school and use her super powers to burn down a gym during a crowded prom.

So because you are an actual "teacher" your opinions are automatically right and a lowly substitute's opinions are automatically wrong. Obviously you aren't a Florida teacher.

So far, the goose steppers here responded to the first post with ARTICLES of their own, from left wing hate sites like CBS News, and I didn't see you wagging your fingers at them?

(Oh, and in 98, I DID teach English at a small Orlando community college. I gravitated to substitute teaching because I didn't want to spend a ton of money on an MBA just to teach college, and substitute teaching pays more. And again, subbing is not my full time job. Because this is a political message board with assorted Hitler Youth here, I learned an important lesson not to share the full time job. One time, some animals from the left actually showed up to where I worked.)

I try to (and usually succeed) in locating FACTUAL sources, which makes me different from the left wing goose steppers here.

You are the OP and so that's who I am responding to... a bit on the defensive. This speaks to your character.. You really should try to not be so transparent.

I taught Economics, Statistics, and Math at the high school and community college level. I had one of you in my class. When he tried the usual "commie, blah, blah" garbage.. I had him download data and do a simple calculation. When I asked him what the answer was... he pouted and dropped out the next day. He (just like you) want affirmation.

No, I taught in Idaho and Nevada. From my viewpoint having worked and lived with a few hundred teachers.. I have met one that would align with the one mentioned in the OP.. but that can't be, can it?

Really?  So it is just that you don't want little girls to be able to talk about their periods with their teachers.  I had assumed, given Florida is Republican, that the Carrie thing was an option.  I was willing to bend a little, as insanity is often a reasonable defence when id!otic people make id!otic decisions, but no, eh?

You do, actually, really, want to stop children talking about their periods with their teachers.

Do you think McClain is a weakling for saying that disciplinary action against a teacher "would not be the intent of the bill."?  Even though he hadn't thought about it.?

It is improper for a teacher to discuss ANY such items with a little girl below a certain age and grade. A teacher could properly handle this by contacting the parent and making them aware of this. Here in Florida, we take a dim view on pedaphelia (which is why the state didn't vote to elect Biden, by the way) . There are certain subjects you DON'T discuss with kids below a certain age, unless that discussion involves their parents.

So far, Florida only had that incident with the Broward County school shooting (mostly because the sheriff wouldn't allow his men to end it early). No Carrie Whites here. And none will be produced by this law. It just means that teachers will NOT take the place of parents.

If a small girl needs to ask a teacher about menstruation, that FLorida teacher will immediately contact the PARENT. That's the way it should be, unless you think maybe teachers should have the right to have sex with third and fourth graders.

If you taught economics in a blue state, you are inferior to Florida kindergarten teachers. PERIOD.

I don't pout. I just present facts and back them up with reliable sources. And when a goose stepper responds unfavorably, I put that !diot in his/her place.

I have to admit that I never considered that option.

It took a person of your particular outlook on life to point out to me that a teacher discussing a period with a child also wants to have sex with them.

You can have the last word on this.  I have to go for a shower.

Reno is not exactly a blue area... more assumptions from you. All emotion, passion and no objectivity. I deal with your types at my job.

Besides, I taught microeconomics which is not a political topic... I know that you can't grasp that. (Hint... I know exactly how you will respond)

Apparently you don't know the meaning of the word IF.  Try scrolling back and find that IF word.

MacroEconomics is the study of economics as it applies to a country or continent.

MicroEconomics is the study of how companies treat each other and how such systems interact.

Neither subject is, in of itself, a political science endeavor. Those of us from the Conservative and free market Libertarian side of the aisle refer to all Economics as the ONLY real science of human behavior.

The ONLY book a psychology major needs to read:

Actually, YOUR side of the aisle is the pro pedophelia group. And one can find such stories in media all over the place. Bottom line ANY teacher who decides to have a "Private" discussion with ANY minor, without any parental involvement, is a criminal and should not be allowed to teach.

Microeconomics is mostly the study of how the individual allocates finite resources.. I can tell that you are an armchair expert and nothing more.  Macro is where you look at the bigger pictures... companies, counties, cities, nations. etc. The second one has politics wrapped into it inevitably. Fiscal policy has an impact on the bigger picture..

Idaho is not a blue state and Reno is not die-hard Blue. It is more purple

Now why Joe Blow buys the spicy chips and not the plain potato chips.. according to your types is purely a function of someone in the government conspiring against them (see.. I can make assumptions too).

As usual, when you lose an argument, out come the insults. I actually took the college classes on both micro and macro, so you have given away the fact that you never did take either one.

(Do you REALLY think you're the FIRST liberal who tried to manufacture unearned credibility by claiming to be a college economics professor?)

Definition: Microeconomics is the study of individuals, households and firms' behavior in decision making and allocation of resources. It generally applies to markets of goods and services and deals with individual and economic issues.

Notice that word, "individual"... Hmm.. game, set, match. You lose.

Your opinion only. And it is not shared by anyone who has an education.

From the greatest economist in the history of the world:

https://mises.org/library/what-economics

Many people think that economics is a matter of opinions. Economics is not a study of opinions. Economics is a science, and as a science it deals with eternal laws — laws that men are not able to change — laws that remain constant. If we want to improve our own satisfactions in life, we must improve our ability to know and use these laws of economics so as to attain more of the things we want. So, if the civilized world is to survive, people must learn more about this science of human action.

Find someone with an education to explain that to you, son.

Your response has nothing to do with my post. You did not address that microeconomics is about the individual. I posted a definition ... not an opinion.
