Is Healthcare a Right?

Legally, Morally, what are your thoughts?

Healthcare is a debated issue in the United States, and opinions on whether it is a right or not can vary.

  • Some argue that access to healthcare is a fundamental right that should be guaranteed to all citizens, while others believe that healthcare is a service that one should pay for themselves or through private insurance.

The question is dishonest. NONE of you goose steppers are suggesting that physicians work for FREE, which would be the case if everyone had a RIGHT to health care.

Your question is do the deadbeats have a RIGHT to the tax dollars used to pay these price gouging doctors.

When you start bringing doctors to America in slave ships and put them up in plantation hospitals where they cure the sick for FREE, then you can talk about a RIGHT to health care.

Right now, you're talking about a RIGHT TO STEAL.

The question is not whether or not physicians should work for free, but rather whether access to healthcare is a fundamental right that should be guaranteed to all citizens, regardless of their ability to pay.

Now, there is the issue of illegal immigration in your country, it is true, a system can not afford anyone to stroll in a waiting room for any minor issues. One solution, I was thinking of is the same religious, social, and donor groups that are assisting people to settle in and are pro-immigration, they have an educated class, and can also put forward doctors to help on their own time. I think there are more solutions to this. Charity work like a guru. Doing the practical work for what one believes in.

  • Any other ideas you have to share except Florida tractor noise?

Should people have access to Florida beach front houses, Mercedes S Class sedans, etc regardless of their ability to pay?  Should a right to FOOD be guaranteed to all citizens regardless of their ability to pay. Should YOU be required to buy groceries and COOK for others, just because they have a RIGHT to food.

HOW ABOUT THE RIGHT TO A HOUSE? Should you be forced to give up your house because someone has a RIGHT to housing regardless of his/her ability to pay?

Now, there is the issue of illegal immigration in your country, it is true, a system can not afford anyone to stroll in a waiting room for any minor issues. No real American has a problem with LEGAL immigration. LEGAL immigrants usually work, buy their own insurance and PAY for health care. Tell us again WHY people who work OWE people who don't work.

Calling it a RIGHT to health care is a LIE. It's a right to OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY.

Or it is a RIGHT to the services of a physician for FREE.

There is nothing else.

Any other ideas you have to share except Florida tractor noise?

A Florida tractor would score higher on a high school SAT than you would.

Nice thing, though, reminding the country that Florida supplies most of the winter vegetables for the supermarkets  in America. Florida also is a major cattle source.

And Florida is the top VACATION destination of the world.

And businesses from California are moving to Texas and Florida. We don't need them, nor their socialist woke BULLSHIT ideas. But they're coming. Maybe it's because Florida has the BEST and fastest growing economy in America.

That's the official score list from College Board, which is the organization responsible for administering the SAT exam.

I would say that it is not. If you take the ability to pay out of the equation then folks will overuse it. The suppliers of health care are a finite resource. First, it is rightfully quite difficult to get the M.D. or attain the title of R.N. Besides, the health care field is not for everybody. I have never entertained the idea of entering the field. My current occupation of programmer fits me well.

If you're Cdn and say it's not, its time to voluntarily revoke your citizenship.

If you're such a pig you can't distinguish the right to healthcare from the right to own a Mercedes you're not qualified to an opinion

Florida, land of newlyweds and nearly deads, and the newly Weds stopped going decades ago. Now it's the nearly deads and the braindead. Who the hell would move to Florida with school aged kids????

Urgent and non cosmetic health care should be a right.

Want breast implants, you should pay.

Breaking my leg at work and not having benefits, shouldn't set me back a decade financially.

One shouldn't have to make life and death decisions based on financial status.

I remember this documentary I saw and they were talking to this Haitian kid who had broken his arm. He couldn't afford to get it fixed so literally just left it alone and eventually the bones healed at an insane angle.

The fact he could still use his limb, was insane.

Insurance to me should cover you for vision, dental and any non urgent needs.

I am going to open a Pandora's box here.

How about gender reassignment surgery?

Pay or Government?

I don't understand how this is not cosmetic, just like breast implants.

I think there are probably psychological reasons for having surgery to change one's gender that just aren't there for getting bigger tits.

Probably some detrimental effects from not getting it too.

Of course, I'm not a psychiatrist so I don't know for sure.

Well its still a dishonest question.

The question is how do you allocate finite resources.

If healthcare was a right, you'd be able to get in for surgery right away and not be stuck on a 2 year waitlist

No. Especially not in kids. We shouldn't be feeding kids who are going through a phase hormone blockers

Gender dysphoria isn't a mental illness. That's transphobic.

It is a mental illness. And the term "transphobic" is a bullshit left wing goose stepping term.

Liberalism is as mental illness. You people would probably call that statement Naziphobic.

I didn't say it was a mental ilness.  I said there are probably psychological reasons for having the surgery.  And there probably are.  So not transphobic then.

Like mental health?

Why should it be considered medical, unless it's mental health?

Activists label this as perfectly normal, then you should be on the hook for your own cosmetic enhancements.

I don't care what activists call it.  This is from a NHS site.

Gender dysphoria is not a mental illness, but some people may develop mental health problems because of gender dysphoria.

Is it the case that you want them to pay for it because you are upset at the activists, not because you care one way or the other about the person getting the surgery?
