Yes, I've long thought that there should be a rule that only captains can interact with the referee.  Any one else even talks to them and it's a card.

Even at that, captains can be told they’ve said enough. It’s also a major no-no to request from the ref that an opposing player be given a card.

⬆️ Trouble, Germany: Fight between FCN & Stuttgart

A fight broke out between fans at the DFB Pokal quarter-final match between Nürnberg and Stuttgart.

The incident occurred after the final whistle, when most of the supporters had already left the stadium. A group of FCN hooligans rushed towards the away section where Stuttgart supporters were still present and attacked them.

The fight escalated from the stands onto the track field and towards the pitch but was quickly broken up by the police.

You have to love football commentators.  From today, at the top of his voice:

"From 2-0 down, on Easter Sunday of all days, Liverpool come back from the dead!"

And the Hooligan of the Day Award goes to the Assistant Referee in that game:

Scotland: The Old Firm Derby, Celtic 3 - 2 Rangers

celtic6.jpg

The Celtic supporters put on a show during the Old Firm Derby with nice tifo displays.

However, the absence of the away fans was a disappointment, as both clubs and Police Scotland agreed to ban them for safety reasons due to previous incidents at recent matches between the sides.

The visiting supporters will also be banned for the remaining derby this season.

⬆️ Trouble: ItalyA big internal fight broke out between groups of Genoa after the Serie B match between Genoa and Perugia.

The incident occurred in Piazza Galileo Ferraris, just next to the stadium, almost 2 hours after the game when the police presence around the stadium had subsided.

The groups involved in the altercation were reportedly 5R & Carruggi against Nucleo, a group that emerged from the dissolved Speloncia Brigade. The reason for the fight is unclear, but it is suspected that it may have been a power struggle for the most central position in their ultras sector.

Reports from Italian sites suggest that the political motive is less credible, even though Carruggi is close to <- the left and the Nucleo is markedly right. ->
