You are not exactly holding true to your name. You'd be canceled for this belief in many places.

That is what right-wing media wants you to think. The truth is, most people don't care about your personal sexual preferences. Well, at least most people who aren't right-wing weirdos obsessed with hating LGBT people.

6 hours ago, I am Groot said:

That's an odd position to take unless you're going to be brazenly hypocritical and say only women and not men should have that right.

I think as long as it's private property, people should be allowed to self-segregate however they want. If you own a bar and only want to hire and serve men, I think that's stupid, but it should be legal.

6 hours ago, I am Groot said:

But even with that the Trans activists and now government continue to insist males who identify as women should be treated like females in such things as inclusion in female spaces (changing rooms, showers, bathroom, gyms, shelters, sports, etc).

Yes, they should. Just because transphobia is for incel losers, doesn't mean it should be illegal.

6 hours ago, I am Groot said:

It's not. There are a miniscule number of males who are pedophiles who would be sexually attracted to young boys. But all males (excluding gays) feel sexual attraction to females.

Actually, the studies on pedophilia show that pedos don't really differentiate much between boys and girls. Basically, pedos aren't attracted to boys or girls, they're attracted to children.

Now that being said, I think parents shouldn't leave their kids alone in vulnerable areas, such as public bathrooms or locker rooms. However, the Right only cares about this when they can use it to demonize trans people. We never hear them say not to leave your young boys alone in the men's room, because they don't really care about child abuse.

Nonsense. The Left does not agree with freedom of speech if it offends them, nor with freedom of religion except for religions that are not considered 'white'. For Islam or other religions not native to Canada they're enthusiastically in favor of freedom. I don't know anyone who doesn't believe in equality before the law or democracy, except some American Republicans. And they're mostly Trumpists.

Name some mainstream leftists who support policy that would restrict speech or religion. Not some random-ass person in the comments section of a youtube video, because they don't represent popular leftist views, but a leftist who has a large following.

And by the way, Trump isn't just some guy. He's easily the most popular Republican with a following that dwarfs every other Republican. The fact that he's against freedom of speech and he still has this huge following shows that conservatives are generally against free speech. In America, the face of the Left is Bernie Sanders, the face of the Center is Joe Biden, and the face of the Right is Donald Trump. Only one of those guys is a fash.

It's not only based on the nazi conspiracy theory of "Cultural Bolshevism," but it's pretty much the exact same thing. So how exactly is this not a nazi conspiracy theory?

You need to read more books on cultural theory and political philosophy.  Sorry but it’s got nothing to do with conspiracy theories, Nazism, or both.  I think you’re referring to 1930’s Nazi attacks on Bolshevism.  Yeah sure, but the National Socialists also linked American bankers and Jews.  Basically they smeared many groups and supported a pseudoscientific cause grounded in bogus eugenics and racism.

Bolshevsm itself is a bullying theft and redistribution of property.  The ends justify the means.  Murder of the Romanov royals and removing opposition by force is justified in the name of creating a workers’ paradise that never comes.  Read Alexander Solzhenitsyn to get an encyclopedic history of Stalinism and the gulags.

Nazism, while seemingly on the opposite end of the political spectrum, was worse than Bolshevism in ideology because of its literal genocide of Jewish people, but as many as 70 million Soviets died under Stalinism, including some 20 million in WW2.  Yes Trotsky was better than Stalin, but a revolution born of murder made Trotsky’s murder probable.

You need to be specific in your use of language and understand the terms you’re using.  Cultural Marxism describes a condition of materialism and commodification of everyone and everything, because nothing has value except inasmuch as it plays a role in the capitalist class struggle (and subsequent revolution). Cultural Bolshevism is a similar term.

The bottom line is that with Cultural Marxism you’re exhibiting Maoist-type Cultural Revolution ideas, the idea that one must be for the revolution or be re-educated to follow the path outlined by the Vanguard of the Proletariat.  Opposition is counter-revolutionary and unacceptable.  Everyone must think and act a certain way for the revolution to be successful.

It’s very arguable that wokism, EDI directives, and ESG stakeholder capitalism present a new cultural revolution, but the puritanical policing of language has happened before (consider book banning over the decades). It’s new to see attacks on free thinking and free speech become so normalized in supposedly democratic capitalist western countries, yet this cultural phenomena was underway and described decades ago.  We’re seeing it bloom more fully now.

I'm not defending Bolshevism or tankies. I'm saying the nazi theories about Bolshevism were wrong. I don't believe the Jews were weakening Germany by promoting "degeneracy" in order to convert the Germans to Bolsheviks. Apparently you do believe this is happening now, just without the Jews being behind it.

No, Cultural Marxism and Cultural Bolshevism are not real ideologies. They were invented by nazis as conspiracy theories, they don't actually exist.

Funny enough, the Frankfurt School didn't like much of the art that the nazis considered "degenerate." They felt that the over-sexualization of art was a product of Capitalism which plays to the lowest common denominator. And when it came to feminism and LGBT issues, the marxists were progressive for their time, but not great. Meanwhile, in Bolshevik Russia, they were putting LGBT people into gulags. The idea that bolshevists thought by promoting homosexuality, they were going to turn Germans onto Communism is insane.

Not really. They believed that their political enemies were being manipulated as part of a conspiracy. Plus, what I'm saying has actual science to back it up.

If someone firmly believe there are unlimited genders, how are any to feel any differently about this person's logic?

If they are petrified to describe the word woman? A word that before recent, was easily defined. Some dictionaries have even modified the definition to fall in line.

If they feel dismantling society, and essentially forcing socialism upon people, without a care of unintended consequences for doing so, how is one to view the person as logical?

Spew hatred against political rivals, clearly showing they haven't traveled outside of their environment, as if they had, they would see how ridiculous that it looks.

Its easy to throw stones.

Harder to have a debate and stick to the points made, vs attacking the person making those points.

Okay so with regard to Ottawa-Carleton, nothing this parent said in his presentation was hateful.  He was sharing the legitimate safety concerns of thousands of parents in his school district. What about the rights of biological females to feel safe?   This parent actually referenced that an all-gender one person washroom is available to students, so why alienate a substantial portion of the population to push through an unnecessary policy that is felt to be a safety threat by many students? So much for female rights and the rights of children.

The school has no power to change the policy at present and the parent misrepresented their presence at the meeting.

I would say painting trans people as a potential threat is not legitimate but the previous points are the primary ones here.

Your comments are insulting to anyone who has lost family members in the Holocaust.  I see now that your Chicken Little hysterics are actually what’s fueling division and culture wars, because you call anyone who is well informed and disagrees with you a Nazi or fascist.  It’s inaccurate, unfair, and grossly irresponsible.  Hardner is agreeing with some of your stupid points and totally asleep at the wheel as a moderator.

You’re going to try to use the Frankfurt School to back up your shallow knowledge?   I actually know a lot about these figures.  I studied figures like Horkheimer and Adorno.  I know all about the Nazi attacks on the art of the Bauhaus.  You have a lot to learn about these subjects.  I’ve visited concentration camps and listened to the nightmare stories.  Read books like Night.  Learn about the horrific injustices of Nazism and stop making ridiculous comparisons between those horrors and people who call out Maoist or Bolshevist aspects of our current culture.

Here’s a strong commentary from a half Jewish liberal influencer you might know, another Nazi or fascist by your definition:

This is the left wing these days. Sure there are moderate people on the left - but the farther left usually find them and beat them into submission pretty quick :)

but interestingly this is EXACTLY what the nazi's used as their method for gaining power. Divide people into groups, then set one group on another smaller group and offer to help the group deal with the 'problem" of the smaller group.

It's "real" germans against the gypsies! No - the Jews! No it's socialists agains the Commies, no it's germany against the evil trio (B, F, US), No - it's POLAND that's the real threat.

And they're hardly alone or even innovative in that. Gov'ts long before and after have used it.  Obama formed the intersectional coalition based on that - turn gays, blacks, hispanics, trans, immigrants etc etc into little groups and get them to hate other people by fanning the culture wars and spreading division and hate. Then step in and say i'm on your side and scoop the votes.

I'm sorry, I didn't think you were this stupid. I don't mean literally every liberal is secretly a fascist. The phrase refers to how fascists often pose as liberals, because liberalism maintains the status quo. It's a tactic to get people to stop fighting fascism, while other fascists continue pushing society to the Right. Tim Pool is a good example of a fascist in liberal clothing.

So here's the thing about that. When I explain why gender is a social construct based on culture not biology, you understand why there can never be a set number for genders, the same way there can never be a set number for religions. But because you're anti-reality, you just keep repeating the same talking-points like an NPC. So really, all I can do is roast you for being a retard.

I can repeat the fact that different societies have different numbers of genders, but do you care? You rather just be a drone.

No, when people say "never again," this is what they mean. Never again should society just stand around while an authoritarian party comes to power. Never again should we all just watch while the first stage of genocide begins. THAT would be insulting to people who lost family in the Holocaust, the Holodomor, the Armenian Genocide, or any other large-scale genocide by an authoritarian government.

Oh yes, Republicans calling for genocide against trans people isn't the issue. It's actually me calling them out for it, that's the real issue. Gosh, why can't leftists just let fascists do their thing in peace?

As I suspected, you use the term 'fascist' as an epithet to hurl at anyone whose views you dislike simply because you heard it's a bad thing to be. This individual, who I'd never heard before, reads like someone who started out left wing and over some years converted to what the Americans call 'conservative'. He's a Trump supporter and anti-vaccine campaigner. There's nothing liberal about him. On the other hand, there's nothing fascist about him either.

Why do you think segregation based on sex is stupid? Do you think males and females should play the same sports. Do you think that's fair? Do you think males and female should be in the same shower rooms and changing rooms together? Do you think females would be comfortable with that? Or most males, for that matter? Do you care?

It doesn't sound to me like you're a very deep thinker. You seem to have latched onto this trans issue as somehow im portant but you don't really understand the implications or consequences. Nor do you seem to have a mind inquiring enough to care.

This is what happens when people start pretending that facts aren’t true.  It happens when language is used incorrectly.  For example, genocide means killing of a people, not accidentally but intentionally.  Some people think that saying or doing things that some members of a particular identity group might find offensive is genocide.

Fascism denotes right-wing totalitarianism wherein the state and state-sanctioned business dictate how citizens must act with little or no recourse to constitutional or other rights, as the state is the sole arbiter of what is acceptable and the courts follow suit.  Certain individuals and groups that run afoul of state-dictated behaviour are persecuted.  This can happen for superficial reasons such as one’s skin colour or ethnicity.

Some radicals incorrectly use the word fascist to label anyone who isn’t a communist or socialist or anyone who is a conservative or simply not left enough.

Saying things that aren’t true is clearly dangerous and can be highly destructive.  I don’t know why this has to be stated.  What should be obvious simply isn’t so to some people.
