The da is a real lunatic just like you

I think you're right that it could lead to actual violence, especially given what the charges are based on. If it were something considerably more serious than paying a prostitute hush money, that would be understandable to a lot more people. I think such matters are a private affair to be resolved between Donald Trump and his spouse. What kind of hush money payments law is there that calls for jail time?

I suspect you people are being taken for a long ride down the garden path somehow.

But then, this is being pushed forward by the same ldiots who started the Russia/ Ukraine conflict, which most of you wholeheartedly support, so...

That's what these lunatic Democrats want. Can't get him on actual crimes so they call in a desperate hooker and offer her some money to extort a presidential candidate.

Shows what kind of sick people we are dealing with

I understand she was on Saturday Night Live once. I can only imagine the depth of ass-hattery going on there.

Sick people, yup.

The same as on here...   ;)

How is it a crime to pay some Who-er hush money? She took the money and talked anyway, which seems like a breach of contract.

Arrestable offence?

The former president of USA?

Either A) you people are being taken for a long ride, or B ) Someone in charge is gone mental.

Just pray that it's A, you stoopid azzes.

And remember to

shut

your

mouth...

You must be mentally ill to support these political witch hunts

You must be delusional to believe in "witch hunts," just because Trump told you to.

Do you know that several "witches" were found and CONVICTED? LMAO

False business records are a misdemeanor and doing it furtherance of a crime makes it a FELONY.

The crime being an illegal unreported campaign contribution.

Your conspiracy theory claims do NOT negate all the EVIDENCE against Trump.

Looks like the DA has once again cancelled court today. Holding jurors hostage to get the desired outcome in this farce?

It's a little side deal he's got with Trump.  They want to see how much money they can get suckers to send in.  Last I heard it was north of 1.5 million.

If nothing legal happens with Trump, some of these titles in the media with the handcuffs will be cringe to return to.

and the charlatan again made free publicity, does not matter how he spins it, with all this agitation, he gained more followers on Twitter and people talking about him.

I don't think it matters how big a crook he is to his base.  They're a cult and they aren't going to care.

The trick is to get the undecideds to swing for the democrats in the 2024 election, as it looks like the Republicans don't have the balls to deal with said cult.

It's dangerous though. As big a wanker as Trump is, they can still fail by allowing him to portray himself as a victim, and swing some of the dumber undecideds back.

I'm sure glad I'm up here.

We need to look objectively at this.

This is benefiting Trump. The federal prosecutor did not want to take the case is my understanding. Then the other NY prosecutor also said no, the new one that came in decided to go after him.

Come on, this looks political and it helps the charlatan Trump. He will play this for weeks.

It's certainly benefiting him financially.  There's a lot of cornbread and Mountain Dew staying on the shelves at the Piggly Wiggly.

If you're going to charge a former president and current front runner for the next nomination, of course it looks political.  If you have good reasons to charge him, and you don't, that looks political too.

I see no reason to be objective.

I think society should not make the same mistake as Clinton did, dismissing reactionary forces.

What benefit does it all this bring if this will get the MAGA wild machine up and running again, and with a bit of economic uncertainty, can you imagine the MAGA man again there?

I can, Americans voted twice for Bush, but I would rather not.

So, my fear is starting to be that forces somewhat loyal to the Democrats will think that going after him legally will prevent him from the presidency, which it might backfire and we might have the thing that we don't want happening.

No argument on the Clinton point.  The moment she said it, I figured she was screwed.

As I said, they have to be careful with the sympathies.  The MAGA base isn't enough to get him elected.  He's basically been losing since 2016.  Most American's are smart, decent people, so he really should just keep on losing.
