don't forget Corb Lund

he's a personal friend of mine

the Hurtin' Albertan

I love that song!

I grew up in Alberta and did spend many nights drinking rye slurpies.

1 26er of Wiser"s Deluxe

1 bag of crushed ice.

1 beer mug.

Lol...those were the days...

Nice.

And a good message for those today who think war is somehow romantic or moral or even called for right now. Which reminds me...

Lol...couldn't resist.

I've met Burton Cummings too

I went to high school in Forest Hill

one of my best friends was the son of a Canadian movie producer

they knew every Canadian celebrity

one time I went over to his house after school

and Burton Cummings was in the kitchen sitting at the table shooting the breeze with his mom

my favourite Stampeders song is Oh My Lady

Yup. Love it.

See? Canuckland has a lot to be proud of. So does the USA. So does every nation. The internet blurs that. Blurs the distinct flavors of the individual cultures.

I don't think this "uni-culture" thing is healthy. And Pixie-Dust is dead wrong. There is a distinct Canuck culture and it needs to be preserved.

I was born in the British Empire

my Canada had a core identity

Victoria Regina Imperatrix

Mother Canada broods over the fallen, across the sea at Pas de Calais,  upon Vimy Ridge

you say that doesn't matter anymore, that Canada is not a monarchy, but some sort of People's Republic now

don't blame me for turning away therein,  from your de facto pseudo republic

you invoked a Declaration of Independence

but I will not be infantilized by your speech banning gun grabbing Canadian nanny police state

if we are to be republicans, then I want the real deal, American freedom

Johnny Cash. I pray he found peace. Remember his show on TV? He'd have his back to the camera, hit that same note every week, turn around and say, "Hi I'm Johnny Cash" and roll into a song.

The USA was born from a war for independence.

Canada was really solidified by an attack by...the USA.

These things leave an impression on cultures. Create differences.

It's OK for you to prefer one over the other. I know I do.

I was bound to Elizabeth Windsor

Colonel-in-Chief, Commander-in-Chief

I would obey her, no hesitation, no questions asked

but now that she is dead

and Canada has become a pseudo republic

I want my freedom

I want my speech, I want my property

Canada defends neither

that's a deal breaker

frankly, all the things that I embraced when I was a Canadian Nationalist ?

the history, the culture, the art, the music ?

I rarely encounter a Canadian anymore, who even knows what I'm talking about

my Canadian Nationalism is so old school, Canadians don't actually embrace it anymore

the culture of Canada now, is all going down on the internet with smartphones

that's not even recognizably Canadian to me

If you hadn't gone into the forces, what other vocation/career/employment would you be suitable for/make you happy?

If you want some details about how the election interference works, go to this website which tells quite a bit.  The mainstream media has not reported the details which are on this website as far as I can tell. (CBC, CTV)

what's the point ?

none of the participants are ever going to be held responsible

already Trudeau has picked his next crony to implement the whitewash

oh look, it's Stephen Harper's pick for Governor General, David Johnston

that's just sad, I honestly thought he was a man of integrity, but apparently not

I have no shame

as there is nothing binding me to fealty to the Canadian Confederation

I mean, obviously

since Quebec has just passed a law which says they no longer have to have any fealty to the Crown

yet Quebec is still in Confederation

so Canada and the Crown cannot be the same thing therein

That's for provincial politicians making an oath to the Canadian crown before serving in the legislature.  Someone will likely challenge the law Quebec made as unconstitutional, which it is and Quebec will lose.

Quebec has not signed the constitution, thus Quebec is not subject to the Constitution Act

That's wrong, they are still subject to it because it was ratified by enough of the other provinces.  You don't need unanimous consent by all the provinces to ratify a constitutional amendment, just like 100% of MP's don't need to vote for a law for it to pass.
