I pretty much expected this to happen. The reaction to the convoy was overkill.

Yup... as soon as Trudeau chose his own judge it was over

If that lady only listened to police, she wouldn't have been trampled. Simple as that.

Isn't that the prevailing opinion of police violence?

And if Trudeau wasn't such a little b^tch and met with Canadians instead of getting the police to do their dirty work it would've ended two or three weeks prior

JT has no obligation to meet people who are brazenly breaking the law.

Nope.  It's Trudeau Trudeau Trudeau.

That was the stated goal of the Ottawa Protest: to get Trudeau to step down and form some kind of cracked provisional government.  Democracy right ?  That means if all my friends support something we get our way....

Trudeau is a terrorist who held people at ransom over his pathetic vaccine that's giving 1 in 500 people serious health complications.

Alright, so this is where the thread departs from reality.

Trudeau's a terrorist!  ?

Another raving toddler for the ignore list.

To be fair, however, I don't think it's appropriate to call the protestors terrorists either.

A real leader would have met with the convoy and tried to find a compromise or dispel the situation.  Trudeau came down with another case of 'Convenient Covid' and hid out all the while calling the convoy racist and a variety of snipes.

Trudeau is not a leader, he's laughed at globally, and dis-respected at home. Truly an embarrassment wherever he goes.  Canada has suffered damage with his inept 'leadership' . . . . .

Completely consumed with global warming and his image, the Canadian citizens are just an after-thought.

The die is set now, expect more Emergency Act (War Measures Act) shows of force.  It makes Trudeau look tough - to himself.  Citizens see something else . . .

Let's consider that wisdom some closer. So a government can do what it likes having no need to talk, explain, meet with the citizens or even make sense. Justices go on months long dispatches to restaurants couldn't be bothered to notice. And when citizens take to the streets, a normal regular event in a democracy see that little paper handy? they are labeled that.

Question: what country was it? Was it Russia, or China maybe? Did someone say, number 1 of the greatest democracies, in the rating?

Governments are all accountable to the electorate during elections.

The government is not obliged to placate a rabble of Truckers that are butthurt with legal vaccine mandates.

So 2 years before the convoy, indigenous protestors across the country blockade railways in protest, no emergencies act invoked.

At the Ottawa convoy, police at all 3 levels of government make no attempts to arrest or tow the truckers, including the ones at the border.  Most of them are just making loud noises, none of them committed violence.  Feds declare an emergency.

In China, during quasi-staged rituals. And in a real democracy, each and every day. Just choose one.

I'm sure this was the only difference.

What was the difference?

Why did the convoy deserve to have their bank accounts frozen and other rights curtailed but indigenous protestors parking their trucks, plows, dumptrucks, big rigs, buses etc on railways nationwide did not?  They were blocking trains carrying food, fuel/oil, and many other goods from being shipped and causing economic damage also.

If it were indigenous people inside the convoy trucks, would the Trudeau government have acted in the same manner?

How the rail blockades are hurting Canada’s economy:
