Contrarian
The prices of the tickets will be something to watch. 😄 FIFA officially confirms Canadian men's automatic 2026 World Cup qualification. Canada, U.S., Mexico secure automatic berths as co-hosts of marquee event. The event will also be the first that features three nations as co-hosts. https://www.cbc.ca/sports/soccer/soccer-canada-fifa-mens-world-cup-2026-qualification-1.6748502?cmp=rss Stadiums Video Report: Edited February 15 by Contrarian
Boges
Maybe with the diluted field, Canada can actually not lose every game this time.

There'll only be a handful of games in Toronto and it'll be the smallest stadium in the tournament.

The city will be a party though, and also hope we have a coach to speak less and win more. Edited February 16 by Contrarian

The other 3 teams in their pool included two semi finalists and the #1 ranked team in the world. Winning a game would have been a huge upset. They are looking at 16 groups of three teams each this time. (Lots of West Germany vs Austria 1982 potential in that format) Canada will still be seeded last in the group, I imagine, so a win will still be a long shot. You never know though. Giant killers abounded during the last one.

But they were also the only team other than Qatar that were unable to record a point, I believe. At least they didn't get shutout each game. Yes, but that little rant before the Croatian game, I still don't understand the point of that. Some European Newspapers were talking about the warrior Canadian head choach, then Croatians started running articles and got their team engaged. The man needs to control his emotions. I mean Croatia made it to the final previously, Canada, we just qualified now after 1986. Herdman’s comments obviously did not go down well in Croatia. 24sata, a daily newspaper in the country’s capital of Zagreb, put the Canadian coach on the front page in an interesting style. ---> Alongside a mock photo of Herdman, the headline reads: “You have the mouth but do you have the balls as well?” 😄 Edited February 16 by Contrarian
Aristides
Maybe but they also got their first world cup goal against Croatia, which was a semi finalist in this world cup and a finalist in the last world cup.

impartialobserver
As long as the prices are not too insane... I will be going to the games in San Francisco and possibly Seattle. Only 4.5 hours away from Levi's Stadium
