The Left is Destroying Western Civilization

We get a steady diet of same-sex couple dating ads on mainstream television daily.  Nobody sees the problem.  Society is being brainwashed with a dark agenda.

Can't you just change the channel?

BTW brainwashing is not a real thing.

Self-inflicted wilful stupidity. You have to want it to be one.

Fair enough.

Also, one has to have a brain to be brainwashed.  I never considered that.

The two are not mutually exclusive.  They are stupid and mean.

And I don't think Trump is purposefully mean.  That's just what works on his cult.  If Trump thought he could get power, money and attention from being woke he would.

You know we don't get to vote on U.S. presidents, but Trump had a few good things about him that caused half of America to vote for him.   He opposed leftism, Socialism, and globalism.  Those are big things.  He opposed environmental radicalism and climate change alarmism that Trudeau and Biden pedal constantly.  Those things alone would cause millions to vote for Trump.

Sure, and with any luck, and a Republican field that also promises those things, Trump won't get a look in in 2024.

Right?

There was much to criticize about Trump and I thought Biden would be better.  I was wrong on Biden.  Trump kept the West out of wars and made it clear that American values would be protected even if it meant risking the left’s favourite dismissal tactic: “You’re a racist.”  Any national leader who attempts to protect domestic cultural values and security from harmful outside influences risks being accused of racism and xenophobia, but basic psychology and biology tells us it’s in our survival interests to be careful about protecting our families, communities, cultures and economic interests.  Now Biden is adopting Trump’s border policies.  Biden is a professional politician who panders to both his established base and the radical elements in his party. Who knows where he really stands on any issues?  At least Trump says what he means and isn’t afraid of the woke mob or taking criticism from his party.

The Ontario legal profession is in a battle between the takeover by the woke agenda and rejecting it sometime this year.  This is very serious and could extend into every facet of life of the legal world.  It would be a further serious extension of the authoritarian woke agenda into Canadian society.

"The Law Society of Ontario’s battle over its woke statement of principles is heading toward round two, as the election of benchers is a contest between two slates, one upholding the 2019 repeal of the rabidly politically correct statement of principles (SOP), and the other pledged to reinstate it. Readers may recall that the SOP requires every lawyer and paralegal in Ontario to promise to advance equality, diversity and inclusion, and not only within the legal profession. The SOP requires law licensees to “create and to abide by a statement of principles acknowledging their obligation to promote equality, diversity and inclusion generally, and in their behaviour towards colleagues, employees, clients and the public.” Under this formula, all law licensees in the province must pledge to promote this elusive quality amongst the public and in practically all of their individual activities. It should have been obvious to everyone from the outset that this was an insane and unenforceable burden to inflict upon the profession, and that, if imposed, the lawyers would become a pestilential thought police committed to terrorizing society."

Surrendering to the enemy does tend to keep the fighting down, yes. Trump did not challenge the world's warlords and left them free to increase both their soft and hard power.

If Trump had still been president Putin would still have attacked Ukraine. But the US would have pulled out of NATO (His National Security advisor said that was what Putin was expecting) and refused to do anything to help Ukraine. So the war would have been quickly over.

As for putting the word 'trump' in the same sentence as 'american values'... uh, lol. Have you forgotten how much wokism grew during Trump's term in office?

Not really.  There are only two Canadian news channels with steady news updates (with a strong liberal slant), CBC & CTV and they are both the same.  Makes me wonder why we are paying billions to have the CBC when CTV is almost exactly the same.

Well I figured it was a good idea to not have the airwaves dominated by corporately owned broadcasters. These in turn become part of big conglomerates that are horizontally integrated with other sectors of the socio-economic matrix. Only God Themself would know what the owners of these would want to wash our brains with.

Actually CTV is technically corporately-owned, but there is no difference between the CBC and CTV.  CTV being dominant would not make much difference.  What we need is less government control with the CRTC and more private TV stations.  Don't forget government-controlled stations only give you the government narrative or politically correct narrative.  One must ask why the CTV seems to only broadcast a politically correct narrative if it is private.  Doesn't seem to be very much like an private independent station.

There possibly are a growing number of stations just using the internet to broadcast because the internet is already there and it is free to use or very inexpensive.  Even CBC is now using the internet solely for several programs.  One I think is called CBC GEM.  Many churches are broadcasting their weekly Sunday services on the internet.  It is free and anyone anywhere can watch it.

The truth is it would make no difference if we only had CTV and CBC was gone, except it would save the taxpayers billions of dollars.  CTV wouldn't be any different than it  is now if the CBC were gone.  Just have twice as many viewers and possibly make more money and have some better programs.  Right now, the number of viewers and revenue is divided up between two stations which are very similar.   Did you notice some political hosts who worked for the CBC later went to work on CTV?   I can think of two in last few years, Evan Solomon and Vassy Kapelos.  This is a good argument for abolishing CBC.

Sure it does it's just that, as I've always personally thought, reality has a progressive bias - it's baked right into the quantum fabric of the universe itself.

That's why you see so much leftishness all around you. Progressiveness  just shines throughout everything...it's like the proverbial Force.

I'm pretty sure Beelzebub himself would tell you that the Dark Side isn't stronger it's just easier.

I disagree and agree.  I agree on Saudi Arabia, though it was in our interests in terms of oil prices AND dollarization (since it appears the Saudis are poised to switch over to the Yuan).  I disagree on Iran, as Trump kept Iran somewhat in check by cutting off their finances.  The reality is that Putin didn’t invade Ukraine on Trump’s watch, nor did this provocation of Russia by inviting Ukraine into NATO happen under Trump.  Biden thinks it’s 1980 and he’s going “toe to toe with Putin”.   Has Biden met with Putin once since becoming President?

The military industrial complex and disaster capitalists are thriving under Biden.

Ukraine was not invited to join NATO, though it had been asking for twenty years.

I don't know if Biden's hearing is good enough to meet face to face with Putin since Putin's meetings seem to take place across fifty-foot-wide tables these days.

The INDEX of the book I mentioned "Institutes of the Christian Religion" by John Calvin,  Book Second says:

I.  Through the Fall and revolt of Adam  the whole Human Race made accursed and degenerate.  Of Original Sin.

II.   Man now deprived of Freedom of Will, and miserably enslaved.

III.   Everything proceeding from the corrupt Nature of Man damnable.

Those three chapters will tell you exactly why the world is the way it is from someone who really understood the Holy Scriptures on the subject.

They’re invited now.  Imagine how the US would feel about Canada becoming a  military and security extension of China. Oh wait…

If we reject the reality of God and make ourselves the judge of everything, we are only deceiving ourselves.  We need to remember our place in the universe.  We are as specks of dust and the Almighty God that created us is who we should be bowing to and respecting with every ounce of our being.  If we think we know more than God, we are fools.  According to Calvin's interpretation just in the titles of the sections, since Adam fell, we lost our free will and became totally corrupt in our thinking.  That sadly might contribute to why humans think they are their own God and ignore the true God of the Bible.  I say the Bible to distinguish the true God from the God of Islam or the Gods of Hinduism or Buddhism.

There can be only one true God.  We need to recognize, we are not a god and our future is in God's hands.
