What has happened to the Democratic Party?

The US has a history of being clumsy in foreign policy. That is what makes Secretary George Marshall so incredible.

However, you cannot just blame one political party. Americans are just not good in the sport of politics.

You do know that Hussein gassed his own people killing thousands, right?

Do NOTHING to stop that?

Sanctions were the absolute LEAST we could do. The invasion was completely unjustified.

So your genius plan to punish Saddam for killing thousands of Iraqis is to kill tens of thousands of Iraqis?

Why are the Democratic Party elites so repulsive & vile?

I was a Democrat and I would like to vote for Democrats again, but I’ll only vote for a party that supports peace and working folk.

The current party is the plaything of the super rich.

Some examples of the hypocrisy and brutality of the Democratic Party leadership:

  • Madeleine Albright thought the mass murder of children was “worth it”.
  • Hillary voted for the 2nd Iraq War.
  • We now know that the War in Afghanistan was a sham that cost trillions. Our puppet government lasted about 15 minutes. Obama surged troops into the war.
  • Obama and Hillary invaded Libya which led to the reenslavement of black Africans.
  • Obama murdered children with drone strikes.
  • The Biden Administration pushed for NATO expansion which led to another pointless war.
  • Bernie Sanders is a fraud who denounces war and the 1% and then meekly endorses Democratic candidates who embrace war and the 1%.
  • Zelensky is eager to start WW III.
  • Bankman-Fried and other plutocrats have bought the party.

Much of that list is factually inaccurate, but setting that aside, who would you support instead? We are still, in every practical sense, a two party system and the GOP is the far larger offender on any of the points that you mention. If you think those things are "evil" the Democrats are clearly the lesser of the two evils.

The Democrats are corrupt.  I don't know a major party that isn't.  When has this not been the case?  Bow down to our corporate masters.

The Democrats and Liberal Party are made up of urban/suburban yuppies or gated-community progressives.  Obama = suburban yuppie, Clinton/Trudeau = gated-community progressives.

The Democrats now have a more socialist wing also, closer to urban/suburban populists than rich elitists.  They think like university kids.

The GOP are gated-community conservatives (Bush, Trump) or rural gun-toters (Palin), some populist but most are DC-insiders.

Compare Dems to the alternative, NOT the almighty.

How dare we protest just because Democratic politicians align themselves with Republicans and war profiteers to foment atrocities and WW III!

Many Democrats have opposed Communism and racism and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I don't know a single partisan Democrat today who is not a racist and a communist. Certainly ALL the Democrats here are combination Marxist and KKK.

One of the TOP communists in the Democrat Party (Hitlary) actually voted FOR the actions in Afghanistan and Iraq.

You have to remember the history of the Democrat Party, from the party that fought a CIVIL WAR to  preserve slavery, to the party that created JIM CROW laws and the KKK, (which at one time was powerful enough to influence Supreme Court nominations from Democrat presidents.) The Democrats shifted their racism into high gear in the mid-Sixties with the disastrous Great Society programs and the Vietnam War. Lyndon Johnson decided to camouflage his racism by pretending that war was about stopping Communism, when it was more along the lines of getting rid of a surplus number of young blacks.

Today, thanks to the Democrats, 70 percent of all black children are living in single family homes.

Protest all you want but GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

The "atrocities" are ALL ON PUTIN.

The atrocities are ALL ON UNELECTED JOE.

They never occurred under LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP, mostly because those countries were afraid of what that amazing president would do. This is ALL JOE'S FAULT. When voter fraud prevails, THE TALIBAN IS ARMED. And it's ALL JOE'S FAULT.

The GOP is made up of the VAST MAJORITY of legal voters in America, people with JOBS, who pay taxes. It took massive voter fraud for that senile racist pedophile to be in the White House.

The GOP represents Americans with jobs.

The Democrats represent all the rest.

Sure.

  • You're misusing the word "murder" in multiple places. You'd want killing or casualty or something less deliberate.
  • Our legislative branch- Hillary Clinton included -did not vote for war, but for the AUMF. Which itself turned out to be a mistake, but the distinction is factual and substantive.
  • The US didn't invade Libya.
  • The prospect of NATO expansion is not the cause of the war in Ukraine, that's a long-simmering pot.

I didn't think it was important to point them out, because the question remains the same. You made a list of things you don't like, and whether you're accurate or not, the GOP is by far the greater offender on every point. It's not even close. So, if not the Democrats, who are you going to support? Clearly you wouldn't want the Republicans in office instead or you'll get even MORE of the things you don't like. So...

So MANY ^LIES, so little time.... LMAO

Democrats represent me and I've had a job and paid taxes for most of my life.

And you STILL HAVE NO EVIDENCE of the "fraud" you and Trump CLAIM.

When you have NO EVIDENCE of FRAUD, ALL YOU HAVE is the CERTIFIED VOTE COUNT.

And your fantasies notwithstanding, that means JOE WAS ELECTED. LMAO

Of course the killing was deliberate!

Actually the distinction you are trying to make is trivial and desperate.

Did the US bomb Libya?

https://foreignpolicy.com/2016/03/22/libya-and-the-myth-of-humanitarian-intervention/

Why do you feel Mearsheimer is wrong?

https://www.counterpunch.org/2022/05/05/taking-aim-at-ukraine-how-john-mearsheimer-and-stephen-cohen-challenged-the-dominant-narrative/

By your “logic” the Republicans could be Pure Evil and the Democrats Pure Evil - .00001 and you would support them. That is a reprehensible position.

The better plan would be to work to reform the Democrats, take the party away from the perverted plutocrats.

The no fly zone enforcement operation was not a USAF operation. It was a NATO operation at the initiative of the United Nations. The combat on the ground was an operation of the Libyan people who just wanted the evil bastard gone.

Were U.S. planes doing some of the bombing? U.S. planes are under the direction of one person, the U.S. president.

No fly enforcement does not involve bombing. Usually it is missiles aimed at aircraft in the air.

gadaffy had a major force headed to attack a city that was in rebellion against HIM.  We might have bombed his forces to prevent them from slaughtering those rebels. That bombing ok with you?

We bombed Libya and some of those rebels were not so nice.

Yes, as part of a NATO operation at the behest of the United Nations. What is your problem with the US helping remove Gaddafi or Hitler? We would hope that a Republican President would have acted similarly, lending assistance to the UN and NATO.
