There's a lot of specific detail in his account here.  But sure it could still be fake I guess.  But somebody blew up those pipelines.

If it were real I question why a journalist would report a story that would damage the interests of their country with no real good coming out of it.

Truth happens to be a good thing.

The kind of intimate details that were revealed in Hersh’s story could only come from someone with the highest classified clearances.  Someone in the inner circle, so to speak.  And for such a plot, you know that that it would have been a small group.

So there must be quite the witch hunt going on right now.  They would want the whistleblower more than they wanted Snowden, for instance.

This link takes you to the audio recording of an interview of Hersh talking a little bit more freely about the story.

Some tidbits from the interview:  Hersh says there is no direct law against blowing up another country’s pipelines at sea.  The old telegraph lines apparently had law written to protect them.

Also, the only news media that has contacted him about the story is Fox News.  Not one other news organization has so much as called him.  My view on that, is this signals that the media, or at least some of them, are out and out covering for the Biden administration.  You have to admit to yourself that if this had happened under a Trump presidency, the media would be wall to wall on this for a month.

You have admit to yourself that Russia would not harm its own interests and blow up its own pipelines.  Germany wouldn’t do it.  It has to be someone in the region, or the USA.  Whose president threatened to do it.  Who else even has the capability to do it?

One other thing.  Near the end, the topic of sources comes up.  Hersh has been quoted as saying his policy on his stories is there has to be more than one, even if one of them is kept under wraps.  He demurred any further questioning about sources stating that he had to protect them.

He also related how the story was not hard to find, and I assume meaning people willing to talk off the record. He stated that those in the pipeline industry say it’s not hard to figure out who did it.

In listening to the interview I was impressed with how mentally agile Hersh is.  He sounds younger than 65, let alone 85.  The interviewer later admitted that at times  it was difficult to keep up with him

Russia is requesting a UN Security Council investigation into the Nord Stream 2 sabotage bombing.  Rumour has it that the MSM is staying away from this story(of the US possibly being responsible), because it would help Russia.

If the MSM is now deciding on what to report based on who it helps, then they no longer are news organizations, but are propaganda disseminaters.

And if we have come to the point where the truth helps Russia, then we have lost the moral high ground.

https://www.globalvillagespace.com/russia-wants-un-probe-into-nord-stream-blasts/

“The proposal describes the blasts as “an act of international terrorism” and a “monstrous sabotage,” calling on the UN to hold accountable both those who gave the order and those who carried it out. The criminal act has threatened the security of all Eurasia, TASS reported, quoting the text of the document.”

Seymour Hersh's story is just a rumor.  There's no evidence.  You're offering rumors about the MSM staying away from rumors.  ?

You don’t want evidence, you want proof.  All wrapped up in a pretty bow so you don’t have to bother with critical thinking.  Your lazy programmed brain…

I want evidence because that's the only thing that shows something is real.  Without it, clueless smooth-brains like you can play make-believe and convince yourselves of anything you feel like.

And now for something completely different. Context and analyses.

OSINT picks holes in Seymour Hersh’s Nord Stream claims

Open-source analysts argue that the journalist's theory doesn't add up

It's not a theory. At least 2 whistleblowers have corroborated the account.

Who are the "whistleblowers" who have risked their security clearances?

Or are they completely anonymous to avoid that risk while making their claims far less credible?

Oh wait.  I thought it was Russia Russia Russia.  And you all just bought that nonsense about Russia because your trusted sources of propaganda said so.  Now that the powers that be realize that they are losing their grip on the public, they come out with a new fake news story.

It wasn’t Russia.  It was Ukraine.  Supporters.  Not a nation, but a group.  They know the political leanings of this group, but they don’t know who it is.  Really.

That has the top tier kind of technology that Ukraine wouldn’t have.  To set explosives on the bottom of the ocean, strategically placed to properly take out 2 gas lines.  And remember, it wasn’t Germany, USA or Russia.  It was a “group” that doesn’t contain them.   But it has technology on par with the US Navy.  Got all that?

It wasn’t the US that only threatened twice to take out the gas lines, spoken by two top level officials, including the office of the president.  They had nothing to do with it, ignore those whistle blowers.

“What also is unknown is that Zelensky has been buying the fuel from Russia, the country with which it, and Washington, are at war, and the Ukrainian president and many in his entourage have been skimming untold millions from the American dollars earmarked for diesel fuel payments. One estimate by analysts from the Central Intelligence Agency put the embezzled funds at $400 million last year, at least; another expert compared the level of corruption in Kiev as approaching that of the Afghan war…”

Many government ministries in Kiev have been literally “competing,” I was told, to set up front companies for export contracts for weapons and ammunition with private arms dealers around the world, all of which provide kickbacks.”

And why should we be surprised that a corrupt government in Ukraine is doing corrupt things.

the story is certainly plausible

interesting to note that it isn't even SEAL's who conduct these operations

Nord Stream was at 260 meters down, far deeper than SEAL's can operate

apparently the CIA Special Activities Division has its own divers

have to be deep sea dive qualified

likely recruited from the Navy Experimental Diving Unit in Panama City Florida

most major navy's will have a deep sea diving unit capable of planting demolitions charges

but who would dare use that capability to attack an American NATO proxy like Germany ?

seems to me, only America would dare

A question: if you have to go on a two-week trip, and sometimes turn off the gas in your house, so that there are no fires or explosions, what do you do? Do you turn the tap, or blow up the pipe that comes to your home? The North Stream 2 pipeline cost Russia €20 billion. The starting tap is located on the outskirts of St. Petersburg.

The answer, give it yourself...

in fairness tho

Germany is Russia's fifth column ally inside of NATO

neither the Germans nor the French can be trusted

look at Macron running off to stab America in the back, cozying up to Xi Jinping

this is what Germany was doing with the Kremlin as well

thus, it's actually the job of the CIA to blow the Nord Stream pipeline up

this is what the CIA is paid to do

America blew Angela Merkel's Russian pipeline up ?

I'm not seeing the problem therein

turn around is fair play
