I have NO ideological issue with electric vehicles. My issue is economic and logistical. Not to mention the fact that, as I pointed out, they use enormous amounts of rare ores which are extremely dirty to mine and refine.

Good. As for rare earth mining, barely prospected in civilized countries. And how much dirtier than relying on oil sand production?

I mean because there's such a thing as blood diamonds, it won't spare a punch in the face if you use that as an excuse for not buying the wife one.

The son in law shelled out $60K for a used F150. To get to work in town, go shopping, etc. Made maybe 3 trips out of town last year.
