The high price of gas can be largely traced to Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau

You mentioned NATO, but didn't specify the PROBLEM with "NATO."

Why did Canada "deserve" ANYTHING from Trump over NATO?

Of course Trump also slapped tariffs on Canadian milk (I believe). Maybe other things.

Also "deserved"? I'm not aware of ANY offenses by Canada which "deserved" these retaliations.

Each NATO member is supposed to spend 2 % of GDP, at the time we were just over 1.3 % with some creative accounting. we've been free loading for decades, to a lot of Canadians it is a matter of pride.

We signed another agreement that Trump had sponsored agreeing to 2 % GDP then the next day our PM told the world he had no intention of meeting that goal. that along with dising trump on a open mike shortly after that.

NORAD last time we put any serious money into NORAD infra structure based in Canada was 1987...

Our milk industry is nationally funded and does not allow for much import products and those are taxed heavily.

There are a lot, more if you do some research. We are not as friendly as you might think towards the US.

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

America’s dairy industry is more heavily funded than America’s and we don’t import milk either.

That would be nice. But Trump didn't do a thing about it until nearly election time. That was when he finally cancelled the teaching of all the diversity, equity and anti-racism stuff to federal employees.

Maybe he didn't even know about it since he wasn't in the habit of attending meetings or reading briefing notes.

Are you opposed to equality?
You’re a frickin’ plant! Why is a plant against equality?

High prices, including taxes, are the way governments ENCOURAGE private ventures to act.

Thats a cope out, when your government declares a climate emergency, with all the sirens and alarms, then only response is to tax the shit out of fossil fuels hoping consumers will change their habits is a very bad plan, but here is the best part they take all those taxes collected during the year and give them back to the people through tax refunds. very little of that is invested into R+D, that would be a good investment, and might make sense, but nope that's not the liberal way...

Or maybe it's not the Canadian way since you guys don't have domestic auto industry. What would R&D investment be spent on?

Probably the only thing politically feasible was to make fossil fuels more expensive like they do ALL OVER Europe.

America imports more Canadian milk than we do import US milk products they want to make this a little fairer, along with other commodities such as Aluminum where we dump our surplus into the US driving down the price. besides they rewrite our trade agreements on a regular basis.

Well to be honest we did burn down the white house, and some people hold a grudge we have been dealing with our past history for years now under liberal rule and have apologized to everyone on the planet so far, and now working on extraterrestrial issues we may have done.

Our PM has pissed off trump every chance he could get, i get it he does not like Canada, shit I'm Canadian and I don't like much of Canada either. But the things he has called Canada out on he had every right to do.

Our auto industry is inter linked with yours, all the big 5 have major plants here in canada, we produce American vehicles from Canada and do some export to the US and globe as well, on top of auto parts where some parts are strickly made here in Canada for US and Canada manufactures. On top of all that we also have Canadian sub companies like General Dynamics which produce strikers for the US Army and LAV 6.0 our Army and LAV 7 for Saudi Arabia to name a few. Our industries are somewhat intertwined with yours in a lot of cases. Big US companies that have moved some operations here in Canada.

Canada is trying to get into the battery market, which it has invested in, but not in comparison to a climate emergency.

We also have a very large fossil fuel resource that could have assisted in going green, but do not have the infra structure to export like LP, and yet we are still mining coal and selling it as cheap fuel for places like China, Asia where we could be providing LP gas which is a lot cleaner than dirty coal.

Another note if this is truly a global problem, we all should be looking for answers to solve but it seems the globe is not interested in solutions, just taxation.

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

A lot of drooling idiots believe this.

Trudeau raised the carbon tax two cents so it went up a buck. Duh...

A lot of drooling idiots, we call them leftards here, don't understand how the economy works.

When Trudeau literally declared war on the oil industry in Alberta, claiming that it would be phased out, over $120B in projects that had already been approved were cancelled within a few months.

When Biden came into power and shut down Keystone xl, and put a stop to previously accepted permits, and stopped new permits on federal land, it was a clear sign that the US gov't was at war with its gas and oil sector as well.

Capitalists hate that kind of thing. They don't invest. Businesses cancel leases on existing equipment and lay off workers. People who were laid off during covid aren't coming back. Our capacity to extract gas and oil is down as a result, and the cost of oil and gas is increasing. It has nothing to do with Putin and everything to do with failed leftist policies & covid histrionics, but as usual, leftards just screw everything up and then play the blame game.

There are three charts showing US gas prices attached. One shows the day that Biden was elected, one shows the price of gas 4 months later, the last one shows the date that Putin invaded Ukraine.

As you can plainly see, the price of gas started rising as soon as the new presidolt was elected, and it was already spiking before Russia invaded Ukraine.

Gas was $1.08 US on election day and just 4 months later, on Mar 12 2021 it had already doubled ($2.14). Gas was at $2.88 on the day that the Ukrainians got themselves invaded (Feb 24). It peaked at about $4.08 in June.

So gas quickly doubled under Biden and it was up by $1.80 from the time Biden got elected until Russia was invaded, then went up by another $1.20 after that. Most of the price increase actually happened BEFORE Ukraine got themselves invaded.

That's what happens when you elect a retard. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The "leftards" don't have to make shit up like "Trudeau's War on Alberta's Oil". It's obvious to everyone else in the world that we're ALL transitioning away from fossil fuels. SO mentioning that isn't much of a bloody war is it?

So it's pretty obvious also when you acknowledge that 'capitalists hate' regulations, that it ain't the politicians that are the problem and voting in the ones they own is only going to screw you worse.

I mean really, here you are after oil hit it's high that was lower than the last peak, gas is a dollar a litre more and your calling people names because they see who pocketed the other 98 cents.

So it's time to get OUT of the fossil fuel industry and look FORWARD to the 21st century WCM.

Your lungs and lifespan will thank you for it. Seems you got a lot of windy ocean to put to good use.

Lol...tunnel vision.

These Libbies don't care if you can feed your family. Hell if you have a family, they'll put the ever-childish condemnation on you.

People like this present a real and present danger to all of western society. And why?

Read the post above. They obviously don't care at all about the people they're hurting.

Well, yeah, but coming off a failed idiot game show host he's still a slight improvement...

But never ever do Republicans say what they will actually do. It’s all talk…. Blah blah blah… no policy.

When they do mention policies, it’s elimination of Social Security and Medicare.

I don't see it as an improvement.  He stopped or killed the production of millions of barrels of oil/gas for Americans which is driving the price up for ordinary Americans (and Canadians).  He promotes this LGBT stuff, teaching perversion to school children.  He allows about 5,000 illegal migrants to cross the southern border into America per day.  He promotes and defends abortion which is killing millions of babies.  He is a sleep-walking disaster.  Definitely worse than his predecessor who wasn't perfect but at least he was better in these areas.

Sleepy Joe has embraced the fraud climate change agenda and is costing American billions in lost jobs, lost oil production, lost wages, and higher cost of living.   Destroy the economy and prosperity of hundreds of millions of people to "save the planet" from climate change.  It won't work.  Man cannot control the climate.  It is a fairy tale.

It is tragic how one political leader can destroy a nation.  Hitler did it to Germany and Europe, and many others did it to their countries.

This is just made-up stuff...  Oil production is the same as it was, whatever change you're talking about is coming slowly.

Climate Change is real, humans cause it...

Really - it's quite something for someone who believes Jesus conjures up loaves & fishes to be lecturing reality-based people on fairy tales.

Your problem is you believe in fairy tales like man-made climate change and you think man can control the climate but you don't believe in God's revelation, the Bible.  The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
