Canadian Government must support the Women of Iran against the repressive Islamic Republic.

No support ALL the women in the world including Canadian women who have achieved so much for their rights and equality but right now it is the Iranian women who are being shot to death for simply asking their very basic rights which is the right to choose what to wear. Who are victims to most brutal regimes in the world. Who need your help.

My kids need my help. "We" can't run about the planet trying to ascribe our values on other...completely different cultures. That's a recipe for disaster. And "We" do not all want "Our" tax money spent on vain attempts to try.

Cool the rhetorical down in this thread.

You might just be losing the argument if you have to call out someone's loyalty to their country because of a position they take.

Stick to the issues, not attacking each other.

We have already tried using sanctions, but they have little effect or they end up hurting ordinary citizens, not the radical islamist leadership. What else can be done?

It is not so much more Canada can do. Canada has done much better than other countries.

To do list for Us --- Stop negotiating with this murderous regime on nuclear deal. By talking with them you are giving these child killers legitimacy that they are indeed a legitimate government representing Iran nation. These murderers are liars and will never live up to their side of agreement.

For Europe - Close Iranian embassies in all democratic European countries and close your embassies in Tehran. By having a diplomatic relation with this murderous regime you are giving them legitimacy that they are a government rather than what they really are which is a bunch of terrorists occupying Iran and taken a freedom seeking nation as hostage.

What all countries including Canada can do is to stop regime elements (the IRGC, the Sepah, Basij, police force, government, guards, MPs, clergy, security force) to seek refuge or residency,  and ceased their assets abroad wherever they maybe. These are blood money and money stolen from Iran nation.

The Institute for the Study of War is also covering this Crisis in Iran.

Key Takeaways, latest report:

  • Anti-regime protests occurred in at least 18 cities in 15 provinces.
  • Anti-regime group The Neighbourhood Youth of Tehran announced their expansion to other unnamed cities in Iran.
  • Some low-level military and security personnel may have defected.
  • Iranian leadership may have ordered the IRGC Ground Forces to participate directly in the protest crackdown.

Note that these young students from Universities and high schools led by females are against a brutal murderous regime which is armed to teeth and ready to kill. They have completely shut down the internet so that they can carry out massacre in silence and without anyone knowing like they did in 2019 when in one day they murdered 1500 people on direct order by Ali Khamenei known as the butcher of Iran. Your voices are their oppressed voices and may, just may prevent a repeat of 2019 in much bloodier scale if it is loud enough.

I don't demand loyalty on behalf of Canada

I know that Canada has declared itself to be the world's first Post National State

so I recognize that a state which openly declares itself to not be a country anymore, cannot expect loyalty

this however leaves we, the people living here, wide open to foreign interests dictating terms to us

foreigners are now bringing their nationalists fights here and imposing them upon us

 What else can be done?

Canada is now widely viewed as being a repressive state itself, in both America & Europe

Canada locked its own population down under a draconian martial law

Canada was condemned at the European Parliament for crushing its own freedom protests

this is not the Canada of yore, Canada no longer has the moral authority to indict other states for repression

this is totally naive

Canada has no foreign policy of its own

Canada's foreign policy is dictated by the Americans in Washington

you can complain to them of course

but the Biden Administration favours negotiation with Iran, it's the Democrats nuclear deal after all

Doctors asked to help the wounded in Iran online. Those who need medical help but will be arrested and tortured and likely murdered if they go to hospitals.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/iran-news-protests-deaths-people-shot-afraid-hospital-arrest-us-doctors-help/

The Norway-based Iran Human Rights group said on Saturday the death toll had risen to at least 185, including at least 19 children. Some Iranians joining the protests have been killed instantly by security forces as they wage a massive crackdown to quell the upheaval, while others have died later from their injuries.

Many Iranians wounded by the security forces amid the protests are too afraid to go to a hospital for treatment, because some protesters seeking medical help have been detained, according to several accounts shared with CBS News, from both inside and outside Iran.

News reports have claimed that Iran's morality police — the very force accused of torturing and killing 22-year-old Mahsa Amini almost a month ago, sparking the current unrest — are even using ambulances in the capital city of Tehran to transport injured protesters directly to police stations.

The next important phase of this revolution is starting and that is GENERAL sTRIKES. Reportedly some oil industry workers a key industry for regime have started strikes.

The United States of America has done many wrongs in Iran (and rest of middles Est to support tyrants.  One well known and publicized example of which is the 1953 coup in Iran to bring back the Shah and overthrow the democratically elected government in Iran. Now it is their chance (the US) and Britain and Europe) to right those wrongs.

1 - Stop negotiating with this murderous regime on nuclear deal or else. You are giving them legitimacy. They never live up to what they sign or agree. They are liars and have fooled you before. Do not shake the hands of these murderers.

2 - Cut off all diplomatic relations with this regime. Close their embassies and close your embassies in Tehran. By having an embassy , you give legitimacy that this murderous regime represent Iran nation whereas they are the oppressor and murderers of Iran nation.

3 - Kick out all regime elements who worked for regime at high ranks and now reside in the West. Cease their assets as they stole from the nation of Iran. Deport the relatives of high ranking Iranian officials who are residing in Canada, US and Europe.

the Democrat party Administration supports the "Environmentalist" Green religion

so they are preventing the expansion of American domestic oil production

thus they are forced to go cap in hand to the regime in Tehran, in order to access the Iranian oil

so they have no leverage over Tehran and are having to make deals with them to try to offset inflation

The brave nation of Iran rose up again today in Tehran and many other cities in Iran confronting armed thugs of the islamib Republic security guards empty handed demanding the an end to the hated islamic system and gain back their country from a bunch of reactionary murderous islamic clergy.

In the meantime more strikes reported by more oil refinery workers as well as the merchants and bazars in many cities also demanding an end to brutality by the regime, while teenage schoolgirls leaving their high schools joining the demonstrations and setting fire to their forced hijab which many Iranians regard as the symbol of women's repression and a religion which was imposed on them in a military invasion 1400 years ago by an alien violent culture with the power of sword.

The fall of Islamic Republic of Iran would be the greatest thing which could happen to the world since the fall of Soviet Union. This regime of terror gone, the Middle East and the whole world will be a much safer place and Iran and middle East will be prosperous again. These murderers who do not hesitate to kill their own female teenage citizens will soon have their hands on weapons of mass destruction with or without a nuclear deal. They have terrorists cells all over the world in particular in Middle East and they helped Putin of Russia with hundreds of drones in order for him to kill more defenseless women and children in Ukraine.  Lets all get together and end this regime of terror from the face of Middle East and this planet..

Iranian authorities appear to have intensified their crackdown on anti-government protests in predominately Kurdish areas. There are reports of security forces using firearms and firing tear gas indiscriminately, including into people's homes.

https://www.rferl.org/a/iran-protests-kurdish-crackdown/32081052.html

Mahsa Amini was from this region (Kurdistan), so resistance is more intense in this area though the rest of Iran have risen up against the Islamic Republic. Also the evil regime by cracking down harder on minorities wish to show its few remaining supporters and mercenaries that this uprising turning fast into a revolution against tyranny is by separatists who wish to separate Iran and everyone knows this is a big lie.

The minorities like Kurds, Baluchs and Lors also shouting the same slogans as rest of Iran demanding the removal of islamic republic and demanding islamic clergy to get lost. They also shout that they will die to free Iran from this anti-Iran occupation.

I’m not clear how we can discuss and agree on this matter until we agree that the death cult Islam has to be irradiated from this earth.

I would not attempt to make war upon the Persian Shia

they are true believers in their faith

Ali the successor to the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him

these holy warriors would defeat the West, we would be hoisted on our own petards in any war against them

"O Muhammad, you are the messenger of God, and I am the angel Gabriel."

Canada is frankly out of its depth here

and with a Democrat Administration in Washington

Canada is not backed up by the Hegemon against Iran

the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps is exponentially more capable of power projection than Canada is

the IRGC Quds Force could strike Canada with impunity

they could bring a war to Canada's streets, and Canada would be helpless in the face of them

The discussion in this thread is about a brutal murderous regime calling itself Islamic Republic which has taken Iran nation hostage and is murdering defenseless people. Discussion about Islam needs another thread however the fact that it spread by force and military invasion from  barbaric people in Arabia says a lot about it. Iran or Persia is just one of the victims of such invasion. Luckily Canada was too far geographically 1400 years ago to fall a victim and was spared. That said any whatever which disseminates against women, states captured women belong to invading soldiers and rapes women and consider everyone else infidel and hates and burns and terrorizes is certainly not a Godly religion.

The pre-invasion Persian culture was based on Good deed, Good thoughts and Good talk and respect for human rights (Cyrus the great freed Jews from Slavery and brought in the very first Charter of human rights) and respect for women (Persian Kings ruled Persian Empire), however, after this evil invasion 1400 years ago everything changed. Women and young men are sacrificing their lives on streets of Iran in order to kick out this imposed evil and bring back the culture of respects for human rights and women's rights and need the support from the rest of the world to succeed.

Four prisoners have died and 61 have been injured following a major fire at Iran's notorious Evin prison, according to an Iranian state news agency.

Sources inside the prison - which is known for housing political prisoners including the recently detained - have told BBC Persian the number of casualties is higher.

No one knows what is the motive behind this fire. It reminds many Iranians of the fire set by the same people in 1978. A large movie theater (Rex) in the City of Abadan was ablaze by Khomeini's agents coming from Iraq. They locked all exit doors beforehand and use petrol to set the fire. Hundreds died. Thy later blamed the Shah's secret police for doing this crime and at that time the nation believed them and this added lots of fuel to revolution in 1978. This time round the nation of Iran is aware and over years has found out the fact what kind of bastard criminal sons of the bitches these Shiia clergy are and how criminal this regime is. No one believes them anymore.
