Halton School trans teacher showing titties to its students like it's breakfast in the morning

Uh.... I'm not sure.  I thought that the Canadian Human Rights Act was amended to include transgender people in Canada (it was) and that meant that the charter included them, but it seems that there's no direct link to the constitution.

The charter including them doesn't mean they can do whatever they want. It doesn't give any of us license to do whatever we want. I'm an advocate of dress codes in schools for both faculty and students. I really prefer uniforms. That puts everyone on the same song sheet. Everyone is discriminated against, equally.

I realize that.  I think my comment here was too vague:

"OK - well they can make their case.... but there's not much to turn back a change in the Charter right... nobody is going to be firing people for being trans in the near future."

I was referring to general impressions that immigrant groups have about transgender people... I think the conffusion happened when Groot referred to what they think of "this".  I guess he meant this specific case which I agree isn't protected behaviour... in my opinion anyway.

I was but I would also say that transplanted Asians, Arabs and Indians would be at the very least nonplussed by men saying they were women. I doubt there's a lot of support or respect for Trudeau's transgender rules among these communities. Or for preferred pronouns.

Trudeau incorporated transgenders into several pieces of legislation with Bill C16. Withdrawing that bill would remove transgenders from whatever actual laws might protect them from discrimination. Though given the ideological tilt of the Supreme Court I'm quite sure they'd step in to overrule the government and simply write transgenderism into the legislation anyway.

But none of that would affect the crazy person with the big fake boobs.

1. I think that you are right, but I also doubt any new government would take this on.  I think that they would let it go.

2. I agree.

Some of you just seem to get past the idea that this isn't about LGBTQ it's about a teacher being an ass.

That teacher is the logical conclusion of over the top policies that affirm all forms of self-identification against scientific reality.  This government is reaping what it has sown.  Rather than the norm of children getting to know and become comfortable with the opposite sex, being referred to by their biological gender, and being raised by role models representing both genders, kids are being told to follow what they feel at the moment and that imagined labels like non-binary are biological facts.

Transition surgery that has major life changing impacts is being affirmed and funded with short notice.  Thanks for helping to create this insane false reality that is confusing children and breaking down society.  So progressive.

This teacher illustrates why I can’t support left wing parties and the weak-minded unscientific and unscrupulous fools who defend such policies.

Trans rights arrived in parliament the first time as a free vote supported by key members of Harper's parliament.  It's not a party issue it's a freedom issue.

Is Poilievre planning to take transgender rights away?  If so I haven't heard.

Free vote isn’t partisan, but much of the health regulation around trans issues is provincial, such as funding of surgery.  The Liberals and NDP added to the original bill:

“Two bills—C-276 and C-279—on the subject have been introduced in the 41st Canadian Parliament, by the Liberals and the NDP respectively. The NDP's Bill C-279 passed second reading on June 6, 2012.[74] However, the bill again died on the Senate order paper when the 2015 federal election was called. In May 2016, An Act to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code (C-16) was introduced to the House of Commons of Canada, to add and include "gender identity or expression" in the Canadian Human Rights Act.[75] In June 2017, the Parliament of Canadapassed bill C-16 and received royal assent a week later. The law went into effect immediately as Bill C-16.”  Wikipedia

Well if that's how you feel about it, thanks for centuries and centuries of insane conservative repression of simple basic human sexuality.  It's no surprise to me society is taking a little while to shake that off without going a little overboard here and there but I really think it's just a phase that'll pass.

In the meantime the way people like you follow weak-minded unscientific unscrupulous fools who advise against vaccines and public health measures remind me of why conservative thoughts on sexuality should probably still be ignored too.

I'm betting this teacher will be a straw on a camel's back. Speaking of which can you imagine if those boobs were real? He'd be paralyzed.

I don’t know where to begin with your ignorance.  I’m triple vaccinated.  Your daft sucky defence of bad governance is sadly not unique and illustrates why we’re in this mess.

Why do Tranies need their "rights" enshrined in law? We all have certain "rights" as prescribed in our constitution. So why do certain people require special "rights"?

Isn't that a form of discrimination?

It’s all about empowering the fringe at the expense of the vast majority of people.  It’s not about being open minded or compassionate anymore.  It’s a form of child abuse, but now the institutions we pay to raise our kids are openly supporting this teacher’s right to identify as trans Chesty Morgan role playing with power tools over the rights of children to learn in an environment without distraction or moral turpitude.

It’s gone past the point of tolerance to corrupting the young.  We’re just now seeing the effects of the past several years of moral collapse.  Add the impact of the pandemic and you’re getting a front row seat to the real time collapse of civilization.

1. Sure but the Conservative cabinet members including the deputy PM supported it.  It sounds like many parties support this - do you have a list of provincial parties who are opposed ?  I'm actually curious on this point.

1. Like women you mean ?
2. Kind of yes, in the same way welfare discriminates against people who are able to support themselves.

1. At least you admit that that was the intention at some point.
2. Not at all.  Since this is a new thing it's under review.
3. Laziness, self-centredness and ego are a more significant sign of said collapse imo.

People need certain rights enshrined in law because people like you just can't seem allow them naturally without a bunch of whining and complaining -  discrimination in other words.

Yeah but you don't really believe in it. You probably just did it to conform with family.

Maybe all of this explaining of basic humanity that we do on here has some positive effect.  I hope so, anyway.

No I don’t.  This is a perfect example of a road to hell paved with good intention.  I don’t think everyone who supported these bills thought about what kind of society would result.  I wonder how much longer we’ll be allowed to call girls girls and boys boys.  Enjoy.

Do you suffer from dementia or Alzheimer’s?  I promoted acquisition of vaccines.  I changed my tune when I saw the evidence of their in-efficacy and the extreme coercion of our government to mandate vaccination.  I remember what a total sellout and apologist for bad government you have been.  Hardner almost in lockstep with your unconstitutional ideas.

I think our moderator Hardner is basically a left wing radical.  This forum affirms unscientific and immoral views right from the top.  I’m losing interest.  It’s worse than NDP-Liberal. This is why the prosthetic teacher gets a pass.  Canada is in serious decline because of the nonsense you purvey.  I’ve decided that I identify as a talking cabbage and I expect the same respect and rights you afford to your mother — I mean your birthing parent.

I don't discriminate. I could care less what skin colour one has, or how one chooses to dress in the appropriate settings. If this teacher wants to LARP like a porn star, there are appropriate places for that and school is NONE OF THEM.

1. Like I say, you recognize there are good intentions at the root.
2. Jim Flaherty worked in law for 20 years and founded his own law firm prior to being deputy PM.  If his health had held he would be our PM now, I am confident.  I think he thought about what kind of society would result when he supported this.
3. You will get a chance to object if that idea is proposed and I will be on your side.
