This New Telescope in Space

Recommended Posts

While some Leftist-Americans argue amongst themselves in English about privilege, many other people of various languages and cultures  -from around the world- have been figuring out how to create this telescope.

Galileo's telescope changed the way we saw the world.

Measurement posed the problem of Newtonian physics.

Imagine. America, what a country.

I mean I can't disagree, but it is more than America, as you yourself stated.

A dedicated group of people who are scientists, wanting to do research that is peaceful. You can contrast that with another group who only concern themselves with things related to war.

Yet it is true, in order to develop this fantastic technology they benefited from the research done for the purpose of making war; that is the ballistic missile.

Other technology like computers, sensors, various high-tech manufacturing processes all draw from the technology of war, which is actually ahead of scientific or academic reseach/ technology.

This is already being touted as some kind of mythical all-seeing eye that will peer right into the very origin of the big bang itself.

Makes me think, maybe some things shouldn't be seen...

Or else maybe, our well-meaning college boys will learn a new but very old lesson

It's turtles all the way down...

....

But America is making this possible.

America, a place where many people from around the world want to come and live freely and do things.

As a Canadian, I could not wish for a better neighbour.

And if I were American, I could not wish for a better neighbor than Canada.

Like a good wife or husband, we have made you a better country.

I am terrified that nowadays - 2020 - like around 1910 or so, technology had advanced beyond the political system.

-In 1910, Europe still had royalty. But radio existed and the speed of light was contested.

=====

IMHO, changes in science often advance by observation - not theory. Then again, everything important that I've ever understood was usually demonstrated by a mathematician years ago.

Cool?

Not at all. My fear is that a guy like Clinton, Trump, Biden, Putin, Mao, Xi - will start a war as in 1914.

With hindsight, in 1914, it was a foolish war between elites.

For the rest of us, we were told that the war would end soon - eventually, a war to end all wars.

Nowadays in Canada, we have memorials for "two" world wars.
