AQ is not actually Mujahadeen

AQ was volunteer foriegn Arab fighters

they were only a tiny fraction of the assets which were turned against the Soviets

the most significant faction of Mujaheddin was rather in the North, in the Panshir Valley

there was no Taliban at the time

Then how do you explain Taliban leader like Haqqani being in the white house in the 80s?

There is no difference between AQ, Taliban, and Mujahedeen.. every single one of them are terrorists.

The difference between them is like the difference between cow and goat shit.

Yes, following Soviet withdrawal.  Mujaheddin are precursors, though not the same.

Mujaheedeen is just a name that mean religious holly warriors.

But in reality is was 5-6 terrorist groups, who even back then killed women, put bombs in girls school bus, put bombs in girl schools..etc

The term mujaheeden is just an umbrella term like saying soldiers in English.

the Taliban, meaning "the Students", was formed in 1994 by Mullah Omar

their mission was not then and has never been international jihad

they formed from the Madrassas, to fight the drug dealers, who were kidnapping the young boy students

the Taliban's two main objectives is to destroy the drug trade, and the practice of raping young boys called "Bacha Bazi"

the Mujaheddin in this context, covers a wide spectrum of tribal fighters recruited to fight the Soviets

such as Ahmed Shah Massoud's Northern Alliance in the Panshir Valley, which fights against the Taliban

and again, AQ was a base to recruit train & equip foreign Arab fighters, funded by the Saudis through Pakistan

So similar to members of AQ later joining Isis. same shit but different name.

99% of the Taliban military leaders used to be part of the Mujaheeden, even if it was a different name.

I’ve already forgotten all the various groups.  Pashtuns, etc.   It’s a mess of competing interests.   The CF were in an especially fun area, Kandahar.  Weird lawless mountainous regions.  Pakistan bad too.

Massoud fighting the Taliban, is like the Russian Mafia fighting the Italian Mafia over who control drug trafficking.

Both are terrorists.

Even Massoud had a history of being part of Terrorists groups in the 70s way before the Soviet anti terror intervention in Afghanistan.

Pashtun is the name of an ethnic group.

it is like saying Asian American or African American.

Terror groups would be more like Hezbi Islami or Jamiat-e_Islami that existed since 1972.

For example Gulbuddin Hekmatyar as early as 1973, his terror group was throwing acid on the face of women going to school. (from Hezbi Islami )

That is why I say every single person part of the mujaheeden is a terrorist.

well it was a centuries old entrenched practice in Afghanistan

but during the chaos of the Afghan Civil War, the drug dealers began to kidnap boys in large numbers

this incited a revolt from the Madrassas in Pakistan, led by Mullah Mohamed Omar

it was an army of child soldiers in essence

Afghan Civil War orphans, recruited from the Madrassa that they had been sent to in Pakistan

that army of "Students" then invaded southern Afghanistan from the Pakistani tribal regions

2 different groups of the mujaheeden in the early 90s, destroyed and bombed a whole city over a conflict over which army leader was going to marry one of those boys.

Then went to have a huge wedding that lasted days.

You can hear a Russian troll speak when unknown and unproven "proxy wars" are cited as a valid justification for a first major war in Europe since WW2. Entirely unprovoked and absolutely unlawful, with growing evidence of terrible war crimes and crimes against humanity. That's even better than Hitler - in his sense of the word of course, he wasn't lazy to actually stage an attack on poor helpless Germany but here we have only "russian speaking population". Hey Zeitgeist and other apologists, do we have those in the country? Are we as safe really, as you like to believe looking at what's happening in Ukraine according to the troll? What if mama Russia will decide to come to liberate you too?

As early as 2014 NewsWeek talked about terror attacks against Russian speaking population.

Even NATO twitter and FB account share picture of Nazi soldiers wearing Nazi symbols.

By the way there's that historic RuZZian motherland, Alaska. A while back czars sold it to loathsome America having drunk their coffers. Now, wouldn't it be a great idea to try liberating poor suffering population there? Why, what could go wrong?

Unproven.

That is why on 2020 Azov battalion who is part of the Ukrainian military had a parade with SS symbols?

And talking about Hitler, in 2015 Nazi in Ukraine even trained children the same way Hitler German did with their Hitler youth all with Nazi symbols.

The troll here is saying that in the very heart of capitalist Darkness, for centuries before independent state of Ukraine even existed those people suffered less than in instigated by the capitalists and NATO Ukraine. Makes sense, right? And so mama Russia will not be coming to liberate them, for now. That and no other reason, sure. According to troll.

In 2015, when the Jerusalem Post mention a Nazi becoming a mayor that is Russian propaganda.

And when they include a pic of armed Nazi walking in the capital streets that is also Russian propaganda.

Russian propaganda is so good, that 7 years before the war they got the Jews to be shocked at the spread of Nazism in Ukraine. (the country that killed 700k jews)

Better be a Russian Troll and someone who supported Nazi.

in most of Europe, it was German soldiers that killed and arrested Jews.

In Ukraine, jews were killed by the Ukrainians not the German.

Ukrainian on the street killed their jew neighbours till 700k were killed.

According to those who survived, West Ukrainian were worst to them than German Nazi.

Look RuZZia found more "Nazis"!

MR PRICE: Lithuania is a member of the NATO Alliance. We stand by the commitments that we have made to the NATO Alliance. That includes, of course, a commitment to Article 5 that is the bedrock of the NATO Alliance. This is a campaign that includes dozens of countries around the world, including blocs of countries, in this case the EU but also individual countries using their national authorities.

I can only imagine how much they must have regretted selling off Alaska.

I know! Must be so annoying that if they had a time machine would have traveled back and in a fit of rage killed their ancestors (vaguely recall there was a story of the kind in their bloody history). With a magical resolution of this and many other problems in Europe. Not all though, no such luck.

Lithuania presents an interesting case though; see the population of the country is just under 3 million - less than Georgia's that Russia plowed in 2008 but it's been an old time splinter in its imperial butt. First it defended independence against Russian invasion in the war of independence of 1918; it resisted occupation by Stalin's forces in 1940; it risen again for independence in 1990 eventually leading to collapse of the Soviet Union. And in the early 2000 it joined NATO to a dismay of its former colonial masters. So now it would be what, the fifth time in one century that such a tiny and insignificant speck of land would defy Russia by imposing EU sanctions on the goods transported via land to its enclave of Kaliningrad? Such an impertinence! And defiance, too.

Imagine, if Lithuania (2.8 million) could ignore Russia's wishes who could be next? Ukraine could be an old story. Right, there's a problem though: Lithuania is a full member of the Alliance. And the Alliance has Article 5. And, among other members the Alliance has USA; UK; France; Germany; Poland and yes Canada. That could be way more than poor unfairly humiliated Russia could handle even separately - given that it's been struggling for years to control a country that until a few years back didn't even have any kind of a meaningful army.

So, put up with the abuse and see who and where would be next? Or give it a shot? And in either case have your ass kicked, again and with near-absolute certainty. Why? What would be the point? Some psychiatrist somewhere could know. But on the other hand, what choice do you have, having screwed up all and anything you touched, repeatedly and despite unimaginable carbon riches but to raise the drama ante and hope that someone would take it for real? Would there be any takers though? Or another desperate bluster will be called? Let's see.

Well, that's good enough for me, let's invade Ukraine, let's burn it to the ground... let's kill everyone we can kill. I don't mean to put words in your mouth, but most western countries have neo-Nazi movements in them, ya the US, Canada, Germany, France, shit most western nations, let's commit genocide under the pretense of getting rid of Nazis globally' not to mention South America. Takes a special kind of low life ( because Russia does not have soldiers,) just thugs and killers to kill women and children and unarmed men...which is why the mighty Russian army still has not conquered its objectives yet...because they are cowards.

How many Jews did the Russians kill?, better yet how many Ukrainians did mother Russia starve to death, lets do not even talk about the other blood-soaked hands of mother Russia.. Ya, I know western propaganda...Stalin was a saint, I'm sure he is burning in hell as we speak...

1) You can rightly argue that invading Ukraine is not the best solution to Nazi extremism.

Admitting there is a big nazi problem in Ukraine, it does not mean invasion is the solution.

Russia did not have the right to invade Ukraine the same way Canada and the US had no right invading Afghanistan and Iraq.

2) Just because invading Ukraine is wrong, it does not mean arming and training Nazi is the solution.

3) US, Canada, Germany, and France they don't have Nazi officially part of the the army like it is the case in Ukraine.

This said we know from Canada, US, troops behaviour in Afghanistan and Iraq that a lot of the US and Canadian soldiers  are nazi.

You are an army guy in a military that got defeated by the Taliban, and you are talking about being Coward?

Soldiers who got defeated by bearded men using old weapon and living in caves should not talk about bravery.
