A huge threat to freedom of religion in and to the USA

Recommended Posts

Because I follow and support Americans United for Separation of Church and State  ( AU.org )I became aware of a huge threat both to religion in the USA and the country itself. It's called Christian Nationalism. Here is a Wikipedia article about it.  https://tinyurl.com/ynzyz9aa They are a well organized and well funded part of the GOP. They are working to make the USA a church-state. Here is an article about how big a threat they are to religious freedom. https://tinyurl.com/yzv5zez6
So give that a read and give then give Americans United a follow to stay updated. Also, You can follow Constitutional Lawyer/Author/AU Boardmember Andrew Seidel on Twitter. He is an excellent source of knowledge on this topic. His book on the subject is available here https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-founding-myth-andrew-l-seidel/1129710712

There is no freedom of religion in the U.S., given that religions are state licenced and controlled.

Christians, for instance, are not allowed to not bake wedding cakes for gays, if the baker happens to hate gays.

Religions answer to the state, like all corporate citizens.

There is a superficial freedom of religion for accepted religions but not for state rejected religions.

It would be nice to rid ourselves of the fascist and slave wanting religions, but Christianity and Islam are entrenched.

Regards

1. Wrong - there is freedom of religion guaranteed in the constitution.
2. Wrong - https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/baker-same-sex-wedding-cake-us-supreme-court-case-1.4690485
3. Wrong - see #1
4. What is a 'state rejected religion' ?
5. You believe they are licensed - why wouldn't the state just cancel the license ?

Only the stupid think that the state is on Holy land when it is is the religions that are on state land.

Let any Christian cult or any other citizen try to stone a fornicator or unruly child, as recommended in scriptures, and see whose land and laws will be imposed.

BTW, your constitution sucks as compared to mine in Canada.

Our has us murder way fewer kids, thanks to not having the stupid gun wording in our better laws.

There needs to be a threat to religion.  Because if we don't threaten it, it will threaten us.  This is what some of the Founding Fathers have said on the matter.
