Is the Biden Administration trying to starve babies?

I am Pro Human Rights. I "give a shit" about the Human Rights of all human beings, from their conception unto their death.

You do not.

It's the truth, you don't care if they grow up in poverty, undernourished and without adequate medical care, in danger or  under threat because of an abusive relationship etc. Your interest in them ends when they are born, your work is done and you can bask in your self appointed holiness.

Americas baby formula shortage is not the fault of the left or Biden.

Its is the fault of America’s failed experiment with extreme capitalism whereby one company and its one factory have a near monopoly on the US supply and then violated a series of safety regulations and  contaminated the supply .

America is running out of baby formula because 3 companies control the market and babies aren’t that profitable

“There's plenty of blame to go around here,” says one expert.

May 14, 2022 8:00 AM EDT

…On Feb. 17, Abbott voluntarily recalled its Sturgis-manufactured products and shut down the plant following reports that four infants fell ill from bacterial infection and two died after consuming formula produced in the plant. A whistleblower report, submitted to the FDA in October 2021, alleged further health and safety compliance issues at the facility and contributed to a formal inspection by the agency earlier this year.

Even after the plant reopens and begins to provide formula to families again, a larger question remains: How can closing a single manufacturing facility have such a drastic effect on millions of babies’ access to nutrition?

A monopoly in the market

The baby formula market exists as a shared monopoly, with only a few manufacturers controlling nearly all supply.

So it appears left wing incompetence OR attempted murder is delaying the inspection of plants making baby formula, leaving a massive supply shortage.

I knew these people were sick. Just didn't know they are this sick.

Your empty shitpost consisting of nothing but insults proves I’m right. I explained with link to credible source why once again this is yet another symptom of America’s uniquely  dysfunctional society.

By Republican standards, every other advanced developed country is run by socialists who would make even the most liberal American democrat look like a staunch conservatives by comparison. And yet the only one with the shit-show of problem after problem and on the brink of social implosion is USA. It’s not a coincidence.

The only empty thing here is your head. You spoke about "America’s failed experiment with extreme capitalism whereby one company and its one factory have a near monopoly on the US supply."  You say that is if the US government got together and said, "Lets try an experiment: Lets just have a couple of companies make a product and see what happens."

Such is the stupidity of your thought process.

The US government does not create companies like socialist asshats like you do. If 100 businessmen had decided to start 100 baby formula companies then there would be 100 of them. But there is what there is. The US government does not direct people on what sort of company to start you half-witted Cretin. There is no "experiment" you moron.

And as for Biden . . .

He is at fault. I know what happens here in my country and you do not. His bad ideological policies have disrupted supply chains and gas prices and everything else. Whatever problems a particular baby formula company may have been having would have been alleviated if these other issues we not exacerbating the problems.

Other than the fact the question being put forth is lie, nothing.  The shortage began back in Febuary when the manufacturer ABBOTT discovered that contamination in their equipment was causing sickness and death in infants.

The U.S. Federal Government does not manufacture formula, it monitors and requlates the companies that do.  Other wise Cons would be complaining about how the government was interferring in the free market.

US GDP per capita is #13, just below Norway. Still very good though. Canada ranks above every one of your list except the US and Germany.

According to Forbes

Quote

According to the latest Fed data, the top 1% of Americans have a combined net worth of $34.2 trillion (or 30.4% of all household wealth in the U.S.), while the bottom 50% of the population holds just $2.1 trillion combined (or 1.9% of all wealth).

Hardly a resounding success.

So basically what happened is the ol' chestnut of government causes a problem then offers a solution of more government.

Quote

This is weird stuff.  Biden created the crisis by allowing his FDA to hamfistedly shut down a major baby formula supplier over safety concerns after several infants got sick and one died after supposedly consuming Abbott's baby formula, a charge the company says was falsely attributed to its formula.  Biden hasn't proven otherwise, but the plant, which makes about a third of the formula consumed in the States, stays shut down.  The shortages that came of it were something the Bidenite FDA never considered.

Tucker says the problem began before that when the Biden administration created a monopoly in Abbot with its agency WIC taking control of the market to feed Abbot.

So now Biden has a $28 million dollar solution and Republicans voted against it. Good for them. They saw what happens with Biden's "solutions" when he released the federal oil reserves to stop the rising price of oil. The price of gas doubled. More or less.

You would need an impartial analyst to explain how the structure of the Baby Formula market works, why there is protectionism on it, who is favoured etc.

Or you could just ask "Tucker" ... ?

I'm thinking he'll pin it on Biden.  Just a weird feeling I have on that.

But in any case, the press has not been able to provide appreciable context to decision making in decades.  The complexity of government and economic operations overwhelms any attempt to assess what is happening.  When Lyndon B. Johnson, in the US Senate, started generating Defense Reports for public consumption, the press ate it up.  But no one could have known that much of the information was rehashed info already in the public domain.

All you need to do is listen to economists describe international trade.  They openly admit that the system possesses a complexity that defies predicting its behaviour.  When Trump trade-warred China, they did not try to say how it would go because the result was too difficult to predict.

Why?

You don't think he could, if you asked him to?

He could link you to NPR where they verify everything he says.

How the U.S. got into this baby formula mess

Or did you want first sources. Be specific what you want. What Tucker stated is no secret.
