I already asked:  How many unwanted babies have you adopted?  Your friends and family members?

Still waiting for your answer

not relevant

plenty of people adopt

including those who oppose abortion

adoption not solving all the world's problems is not justication to support abortion

there is no right to an abortion

and certainly not a God given right to one

Rights are a human invention. The natural world knows nothing about them. "God" has nothing to do with any of them.

wrong

if it only applied to the weapons of the day, it would have said so

there is no good reason to ban AR-15's

Just a bunch of mass shootings. Body counts don't count when it comes to you lot.

Of course they knew there would be AR-15's back in 1776.

FFS God didn't give you shit.

Humans took those rights. often by force.

And I've got a great idea. Why stop at states rights? Why not city rights? Why stop there neighbourhood, even block rights. Cut things down to a small a group as possible so you can get the 50% +1 that support your vision. The Church Lady and the Angry Old Man next door can decide what rights you have. You can call it 'real democracy' like Americans do. If you don't like it, you're free to move.

They were invented by humans, there is no such thing in nature. A creator is also a human invention.

have nothing to do with the AR-15

the problem is the shooter

not the inanimate object

The problem is the people who let anyone get their hands on these weapons and then make excuses for the carnage they create.

The writers of the constitution didn't foresee semi auto weapons used to commit mass shootings in supermarkets and schools so stop justifying them.

There really is some sort of a cultural difference here. Poland is just about the only country in Europe these days that gets riled up about abortion. Even Ireland legalised abortion some years ago. Elsewhere in Europe it a non-issue.

Btw, people who support Russia against Ukraine saying that Russia is based and supports traditional values seem to forget that Russia has probably the highest abortion-rate in the world. More than half of pregnancies are terminated.

The US is a backward country in many ways, these latest decisions are just an example.

But but it doesn’t say AR-15 and they only had muskets and flintlocks back then so clearly it only applies to those kind of weapons tight?

No. It applies to weapons so that the people have the ability to defend themselves, even from a tyrannical gov't if necessary.

You're correct to say that the gov't didn't have stealth fighters, etc, back then, but if the gov't is willing to use stealth fighters against civilians, the military won't be.

What a crock. Time for the US to grow up and join the civilized world. I'd be more worried about the knobs who think they need guns to defend themselves from an elected government. As we can see (Jan 6) they are the ones most likely to install their great leader (Trump) and be the death of democracy.

Right. They did take into account Roe, which states that limits can be placed on abortion, in making their decision on the case in front of them ?..

Dobbs v. Jackson put a limit on abortion AFTER 15 WEEKS and does not outright ban abortions. It doesn't make it a criminal offense to have an abortion (as was the case with Roe). As Roe acknowledges, there's no absolute right to an abortion

Even the baby killers Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Roe had issues

Left wing news gaslighting you yet again

Do you think the federal government should be involved in, say, city zoning?

The divide is philosophical differences. Republicans ironically are the one who believe choices are best made at the local/state level.

Democrats want to rule from afar by dictating policy from Washington the people simply don't want

This ruling allows states to make it a criminal offence.

You people are off your rocker.

Kavanaugh et al are originalists. That was very clear in their hearings.

Issues like abortion were decided at the state level for 150 years. Only until democrats couldn't actually pass anything did they start abusing the court. Thankfully this restores the basic fabric to the people

It puts people in jail. But what the hell, they already have more people in jail than any other country, what's a few more.

They have the right to own guns only because men gave it to them.

In the 19th century, women didn't even have control of their own assets. They couldn't even get credit cards without their husband's signature until the 1970's.

PS. How old are you?

We all ultimately have rights because someone else gave them to us. But there are some "rights" (like killing babies) that no one should have.

All of these are great debates for the local state level. You know that debate can be held at the state level. If you believe people whove had abortions should go to jail, you can run on that platform. If you think they shouldn't, you can run on that platform. Both of you can try and convince enough people to vote for you. Sure beats flying into hyperbolical fits of rage, threatening SC judges for disagreeing with you, and trying to ram unsavory policy through a body of unelected judges.

I fully suspected that most states who do pass abortion legislation will account for legitimate health issues. To suggest otherwise is fear mongering and tbh is pathetic. Then again that's what democrats do... they lie non stop

If you aren't willing to take basic steps to keep people from having guns that shouldn't have them, you are justifying them. You are an accomplice through negligence. You don't have two brain cells.
