The NDP is demanding that more government handouts come at a time of rampant inflation and government overspending, a time when we’re not even funding our military properly during a war. They’re supporting a government that has already demonstrated extreme government overreach and damaged constitutional freedoms in unprecedented ways such as freezing the bank accounts of peaceful protesters and imposing martial law. This Liberal-NDP deal is not what the vast majority of Canadians want. To watch Trudeau grandstand about democracy abroad while damaging it at home is painful. The phoney, abusive, undemocratic Canadian government leader thinks his lecturing about Ukraine is going to be well-received? Deluded beyond belief. When the cost of food, shelter, and transportation become unbearably high our government and society are in trouble. When our constitutional rights and freedoms are routinely violated and the people who demand that their rights are respected are humiliated by government and media, including having their money and jobs taken away, our government and society are in trouble. When a government that bears responsibility for these problems tries to lecture other governments that have not hurt citizens as much as ours on what they should do about Ukraine or anywhere else, that’s more trouble.
