War In Ukraine

How does NATO benefit from this? Doesn't it have enough problems?

There are still liberal hawks in the democrat party. They didn't all pretend to become neocon Republicans. Also there's backroom politics, Globalist driven chaos for control, and who knows what else. I'm not sure why finger-pointing NATO out of the pile is any kind of accurate.

We only get half the news that they deem public-ready...so any sign of Russians running out of steam is treated as a major victory. What's missing? Ukrainian casualty reports. If we trust Moscow...heh...they claim about 1000 dead Ukrainians in counter-strikes. If we trust Kiev...bigger heh...the Russians are already retreating towards the Urals with Ukrainian casualties amounting to a few cases of trench foot.

I follow this Ukrainian Guy:

He's a homer but he's often right. Even with his guesses.

Right now he's saying there's a huge Ukrainian buildup for a different counter offensive in the South. He predicting (hoping maybe) for a push all the way down to retake Mariupul. If he's right then by his map it looks like the Ukrainians would cut the Russian forces in half.

Thinks are looking bleak for Putin.

He's calling up Conscripts. All for a "Special Military Operation".

https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/ukraine-marches-farther-into-liberated-lands-separatist-calls-urgent-referendum-2022-09-19/

Quote

KYIV/NEW YORK, Sept 21 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin ordered Russian mobilisation to fight in Ukraine on Wednesday and made a thinly veiled threat to use nuclear weapons, in what NATO called a "reckless" act of desperation in the face of Russia's looming defeat.

Flights out of Russia quickly sold out following the announcement of Russia's first military mobilisation since World War Two, a dramatic reversal after months in which Moscow had insisted its operation was "going to plan".

Russians are fleeing as not to be drafted into the firing squad.

Quote

In his televised address, Putin effectively announced plans to annex four Ukrainian regions, saying Moscow would facilitate referendums in Ukraine's Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions on joining Russia. A day earlier, Russian-installed officials in the four regions announced plans for such votes, which Western countries denounced as shams.

So he'll stage fake elections, declare these regions part of Russia, and if Ukraine tries to take the regions back he'll Nuke them for invading Russia.

Quote

"When the territorial integrity of our country is threatened, we will certainly use all the means at our disposal to protect Russia and our people. It's not a bluff," he said.

Those are clearly the actions of someone who's "winning the war". ?

Funny how the Putin-lovers have gone radio silent lately. The 1 or 2 that still dare to post on this thread are now moderating their message to seem like they’re just neutral folks who just want everyone to get along, immediate peace “blame on both sides” that sort of nonsense.

The Russian troll farm trolls have cut and run from this entire site. The person who started this thread, @WestCanMan, has cut and run from this thread. Like Bush Jrs invasion of Iraq suddenly nobody can remember that they supported this invasion or the lies they helped spread to try amd justify it and they just wish nobody else would remember either

Today’s dose of reality

Russia Implodes After Putin Summons 300,000 to Die for Him

Vladimir Putin’s “special military operation” against Ukraine hit a turning point Wednesday—but not the kind the Kremlin wanted.

Instead, the Russian leader may have inadvertently put the final nail in the coffin of his decades-long reign with his bombshell announcement that hundreds of thousands of citizens will be called up to face likely death in the war next door.

While Putin’s most loyal allies rallied around the leader with calls for unity and defense officials bent over backward to provide dubious assurances to the general public, ordinary Russians rushed for the exits and took to the streets.

Airline tickets out of the country sold out within a matter of hours. There were myriad reports of men of conscription age being barred from buying bus and airline tickets, and human rights groups reported that draft notices were already being handed out to people at bus stations and train stops in some areas……

The dose of reality is that Russia has began partial mobilization into a wartime nation. I'm pretty darn certain that this is bad news for everybody.

Partial mobilization of a war they needlessly started 7 months earlier and are losing badly.  Aren’t you supposed to mobilize for war before you start one?

Russia can’t even hold it’s own against  a rag-tag military that barely even existed before Russia attacked. Russian troops are poorly trained, poorly disciplined and have abysmally low moral. Unless Czar Putin starts launching nukes they have no hope of victory and Putin will be forced from office dead or alive. And I don’t think even Russians are crazy enough to start a nuclear holocaust just for Putin’s poorly explained  “special military operation” that has no clear legitimate purpose or objective

It's not a popular move in Russia. But their leaders have never cared much about public opinion. That they view themselves in a much bigger war now is very troubling. How will that affect us? We already have troops in the Baltic. Let's hope they don't get involved. But perhaps it is already too late in Russia's opinion.

As for the details on the ground, we just do not know for sure. We are fed only what gets out of the region from one side. And the news is always either glowing success or emergency...send help!

According to the US Sun things don't look good for a war aged Russian male (or if you would prefer, cannon fodder) today.

Quote

DESPERATE Russians are frantically attempting to flee the country to avoid being catapulted to the frontline amid Putin's call up.

Huge queues have built at the borders with Finland, Georgia and Mongolia as tens of thousands try to escape being sent into the tyrant’s “meatgrinder”.

As the fear of conscription ripples through Russia, some men have been hauled out of bed in the middle of the night and told they had four hours to pack their belongings and obey the mobilisation order.

There were reports of people cowering behind doors and refusing to accept the military summonses.

In Luchegorsk, men who refused to open doors at night were handed the summonses when they arrived at work this morning.

Some 60 men were taken to Bikin, in Khabarovsk region, and sent into the hands of the Russian military machine.

Footage showed Russians enlisted by Putin's mobilisation being taken to training camps.

One man made a last-ditch attempt to escape the enlistment office in Blagoveshchensk by leaping out of a first-floor window.

Massive street protests too.

I don't tell any lies from Putin, although you tell Zelensky's blatantly stupid lies.

The facts I presented here came from Tory Nuland and other Americans.

Your whole schtick is online insults and you whine about ad-hominems.

Your gullibility for obviously false and ridiculous Trumpist lies and obviously false and ridiculous Russian propaganda show you have no idea what reality is. So whenever you call something a lie that’s almost guarantee that’s it’s true.

Blah, blah, blah, there you go again collusion boy.

As far as this thread is concerned, the war in Ukraine is absolutely the result of NATO encroachment, the US absolutely was violating international treaties with their aggressive bioweapons research in Ukraine, and Zelensky absolutely is a fascist with an army that includes actual Nazis.

If you'd like to dispute any of those claims, go ahead, I'd love to see you man-up for once.

I eagerly await your snivelling and ad-hominem attacks.

Oh, the propaganda, the refugees, the migrants, the scare tactics, the "nuclear blackmail" (mainstream media LOL), the Russia sending in 300,000 "cannon fodders" which in WWII eventually led to Russian successes, the humanitarian disasters, the war crimes. The madness must stop.

Remember when NATO and the CIA use to have the balls to smuggle whatever fighter jets and weapons Ukraine would need into Ukraine to smash the tyrannical invaders threatening a fledgling democracy? Ukraine is and was a far-from-perfect democracy, but they were on their way as all democracies were at some time including Canada. When USA was founded it was because believers in democracy booted out tyrannical oppressors, when the democratic nations of the world stood up to Nazism and Commnunism we won, when Greece invented democracy they too stood up to tyrannical invaders.

Since when in history came the proof that it is required to broadcast to Putin exactly your plans for Ukrainian support? You just need to defend your democratic allies by any means necessary without cowering in fear and you will win.
