West Posted January 31, 2022 Report Share Posted January 31, 2022 With all the negativity being spewed at us, people suffering both financially and health wise, restrictions etc. here are some positives I've seen: 1. Great Canadian spirit of generosity 2. Working from home really highlights how technology has improved commerce 3. A desire to not take freedom for granted. When you see loved ones, cherish that time. 4. A greater appreciation for the struggles of people groups whove had to come against oppression. Anything else? I've been doing 5 days work from home. The negative is that huge period where our children had to stay home and got home schooled - badly. We both work and just can NOT home school a child. This has shown how the big tech monopolies have increased their monopolization at the cost of numerous small businesses which have been shuttered and/or closed as a result of COVID. QuebecOverCanada Posted February 1, 2022 Report Share Posted February 1, 2022 This pandemic highlighted how many of our habits and our culture was based on the office and excessice submission to authority and presenteism. The lack of immigration made it possible for many out here on the employee side to finally have a raise, change jobs to something they liked, to finally have the choice between employers. This is the best thing happening. I would agree there has been a few issues that the majority have agreed upon regardless of political support they give, It goes to show we can work together if there willing to find common ground, But this nation has far to many issues that do the opposite French / English , Abortion , religion, immigration, Racisms, the list goes on and on. It takes leadership to find common ground that all sides can relate to, it takes leadership to bring both sides together, it takes leadership to have them agree on a final product that all can be happy with... and we don't have that right now. Either way you want to spin it, the National Socialists won in the end as the German people voted them into power. Nothing was seized or taken. It was all voluntary.
