That's not government telling Walmart employees to wear masks, it's their employer.  If you can't discern the difference between employers and the government, how do you expect to be taken seriously?

Government led on this, but government and large corporate leaders work hand in hand to “make the world a better place” for us all.   This is why workers and all citizens need constitutional rights to be honoured.  No employer should be able to make people mask up or get the C 19 vaccine.  Workers at the low end are getting screwed the most.  It’s the minimum wage service workers stocking your shelves and bagging your groceries who have to mask up all day, but you don’t have to.

So it's all a conspiracy between the government and the corporate leaders.

This sounds to me like a Karl Marx type of point. All of the workers of the world unite.

I don't understand what the big deal is about, you don't like it, there are lots of businesses that don't care about rules of masking, quit your job, stand for your idealism and begin somewhere else.

It’s not a secret.  It’s right in front of you. You’re preventing climate change and saving democracy around the world.  Your noble government and large private interests are supporting sustainable goals and SGE’s.   Not really but people are getting screwed and being told to love their plight because they’re keeping us safe and making the world better.

I don't see anyone wearing masks in those places any more.  Where are you?

I feel like *this* is some people here.  Blank, vacant eyes that see nothing.

Insistence that everything is great and that the people who are suffering somehow deserve it, while the world burns around them.

Everything will work out because our leaders only have our best interests at heart.

Lockdowns were great.  Masks are wonderful.  People lost their jobs, careers and livelihoods - all good.  Vaccine injuries are "rare" because CTV told me so and anyone who claims an injury is lying.  Nothing to see here.

We went from wash your hands to freezing citizen's bank accounts in less than 2 years and all they can say is "This is fine."

Wondering if ExFlyer has the depth of character and intelligence to read your post and recognize himself?  His constant drivel becomes tedious . . . . .

Thanks for posting!

I'll give my report from the front lines

after two years of lockdown, my small business was reduced to a side gig

and furthermore, I was sick of sitting round the house, I was getting out of shape

so I went back to work, to offset inflation, to keep our purchasing power topped up

and just to get out of the house arrest paradigm

it's a very strange job market, like none I've ever encountered before

the Zoomers & late Millennials don't seem to want to come back to work, at all

so there is a labour shortage

if you are an old man like me, qualified to drive truck, forklift, logistics materials handler, etc

you have your choice of jobs right now

it's like you quit a job on a Friday, and by Monday afternoon you have three more on offer, by virtual interview

there are the very corporate employers who are still COVID crazy

but I've been able to avoid them quite easily

as there are so many jobs on offer

many are forgoing all COVID restrictions to try to entice older workers like me to come back to work

furthermore, the real effective minimum wage is more like $20/hr now

so for jobs you used to take for $20/hr, you can demand $30-$35/hr now, easily, they will pay

I'm in SK now and Shahab just announced that masking is highly recommended again.

Lots here never gave them up when mandates were lifted and now, with this announcement, masks are back in full force.

If you are unmasked, expect lots of "death stares" from mask Karens.

I won't comment on the ranting.

-> A classic that I remember: November 1995

Finally some real competition for Celtic after back in the first division.

it's not about football, that is merely proxy

we Ulster Scots defeated Celtic once & for all time on 1 July 1690

when we went on to become the Anglo-American Empire of Liberty

the freest most prosperous civilization in history, by divine providence itself

the Papists have nothing to show but the Harlot of Babylon, selling them all down the river to the Communists

I simply say to them, never mind us Orangemen, don't focus on us

save yourselves, overthrow Red Francis,

don't come to us, go to Jesus, your Messiah as much as ours

we have no quarrel with you, only with Tiberius Caesar

pilgrims on the road to Calvary

following our Messiah to Golgotha

now, if you will excuse me for a few minutes

my wife has prepared my supper for me

striploin steak & bacon wrapped scallops, Belgian frittes & steakhouse salad

no wine tonight, just Kentucky Straight Bourbon with German laager chaser

All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time. When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. … May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works.” – Psalm 27-28;31

As does your whining :)

I am OK.

I didn't have any issues with the public health requirements. I know it would be over, an it is. My immune system challenges as a result of having cancer were lessened by the public health restrictions so, I was happy.

after supper, I took the dogs for a walk

and to buy some ice cream at the local plaza

at the local plaza, there is a Greek Orthodox Church

but all the people who congregate there on Saturday, are from Ethiopia

well dressed men, ladies in all their finery, and their children dressed up as well

I stopped and asked the men

excuse me, but are you Christian ?

do you believe that Jesus of Nazareth, is your saviour ?

and these Ethiopians said yes, absolutely

then I said, we are brothers, praise the Lord

praise the Lord, they said

that was inspiring

in His ministry together, from Northern Ireland, to East Africa, to my local plaza here in Upper Canada

it is ironic tho

Canada supposedly governed by principles which "recognize the supremacy of God" according to the Canada Act 1982

and yet most Canadians are atheist pseudo Communist Bolsheviks, who despise their own Crown

and then these people come all the way from Ethiopia

and they are Christians

under the protection of Her Majesty who defends the right

you'll have to forgive me of course

for I was born & raised in a Canada of yore

more British than the British themselves : in the face of the Americans at the gates

a Scots German empire to find a Northwest Passage

Christian soldiers, Her Majesty at the head of us troops

from Second Ypres to Mons

from Hong Kong to Dieppe

from Juno Beach to Kapyong Hill

like our grandfathers & great grandfathers before us

colours flying, pipes skirling, bayonets glinting in the sun

Did that make you feel good when they told you they are Christians too? That they are part of the same "tribe" like you?

no, not a tribe

it made me feel good

to know that anyone can join us on the road to Calvary

no matter where you come from

no matter what you believed or didn't believe before

Is group think power what you are going through. Is why for generations humans are hunting each other down in my view.

when I was an atheist I was more subject to group think

I was indoctrinated to  hunt people down and kill them, by the government

that was the Devil inside me, like a howling wind

then Jesus of Nazareth came, to save me from that, and you as well

I'm an Ulster Scot

we founded British Parliamentary Supremacy

in the Glorious Revolution of 1688

the modern liberal British state, founded by William III, Prince of Orange

the Westminster Parliament, to include upon Parliament Hill in Ottawa

this is our nation, we founded it, we defended it

yes, from those Fenian bastards whom invaded from America

on 2 June 1866, at Ridgeway, Fort Erie, Upper Canada

the founding of Canadian Confederation

the birth of the nation patriated,  in the Canada Act, on 29 March 1982

Old Aurelius, Roman Emperor one of the opponents of Christianity in the old Empire, stands witness:

Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.

yes, i used to think that way

then I found out, much to my shock & surprise

that Jesus of Nazareth, that Roman Judean man, in his early thirties, is not a metaphor after all

He is YHWH

and He will answer your prayers

He will make miracles happen

and He will even come to one as wicked as me, to save me, upon request

in the room with me

a mountain at my back, calming hand upon my shoulder

it feels so good, you don't care if people think you are crazy

it feels so good, suddenly you realize, that they are the crazy ones for not believing in this
