Yes protesting the government is worthy of getting abused by the cops.

we are British North Americans

this is what we do

this is what we live for

we push back against the Family Compact

they crush us under jackboots

then we come back for more

then they adopt some part of our demands, to stave off revolution

then we start the cycle all over again

this is how the modern British liberal state was founded

in rebellion, by the Ulster Scots, against Popery, on the banks of the river Boyne in 1690

the Westminster Parliament on the hill Ottawa

that is how we founded that

when you are a rebel in Canada

you don't fight for yourself

with failing hands you pass the torch, to some other Canadian men in the future, long after we are dead

like Louis Riel, the Father of Manitoba

Petrol is yet much cheaper in America than in Europe and the salaries in America are much higher but in America the people will vote the Democrats out in the mid-terms when as in every country in Europe we re-elect the same socialists who whip us to death with taxes.

Yet we in Europe think that Americans are stupid.

100% of the thing from Day One. Nobody ever forced them to wear a mask or get vaxxed, they want the freedom to avoid the consequences of their own personal decisions.

You don’t respect the sanctity of the person.  No government has a right to forcibly prescribe.  The Americans would never stand for such a violation of the individual.   Never allow the state to violate the rights of an individual to that degree.

the Truckers perhaps do not know it

but they have taken up the torch of the Covenanters

No, the truckers have hitched their wagon to the remnants of the tribe that abandoned the Democrats and followed George Wallace into oblivion.  These wandered aimlessly after that following various other outlier morons like Ross Perot until morphing into the Tea Party and finally settled into the Cult of Trump.  Conservative Canadians of this ilk are clearly the lamest wannabes and losers on the planet bar none.

They'll have the opposite effect their deplorable US cousins had on the Democrats and guarantee more Liberal governments than might have been expected if so many people weren't so deplorable.

He's really just a silly dilettante - the depth to which he is able to get under the skin of conservatives says a hell of a lot more about conservatives than him.

Trudeau has singlehandedly built a right wing populist movement in Canada

at the very least that has dragged the Conservatives to the right

the populist right already has the working classes

but when the inflation destroys the middle class

the populist rage against the elites will escalate to a whole new level

demagogues will rise, civil society will continue to unravel

the chaos incited by Trudeau, is a ladder

yeehaw

The rage and unravelling has been a given due to a growing lack of environmental and socio-economic sustainability for decades.  Trudeau is merely one more rung.

So once again Tamara Liche faces a leftist activist nut bar as judge. Guy apparently donated to Trudeau. Amazing how many Liberal Party donors are ending up as judge in this star chamber show trial. Very sad what Trudeau has turned our country in to

yeah

I've never had reason to doubt Canadian judges before

but I don't actually trust the judiciary anymore, after seeing what is going on now

and socio-economic sustainability for decades.  Trudeau is merely one more rung.

Socio-economic stability will be achieved once the gov't is in a position to tell everyone what they can and can't have, and the population is almost under complete control now.

Canadians are injecting a pseudovax when they're told, discriminating against the non-sheeple like they're schmutzig juden, hollering for the government to disarm everyone, gleefully accepting a digital currency/social credit-based system where the gov't can erase your personal wealth with the touch of a button - no judicial oversight required, handing control of their children's upbringing and belief system to the government, allowing the gov't to throttle religion...

Trudeau has charmed Canadians into anointing him as their Supreme Leader.

All of the leftists here have said the following things, in their own way:

"Beat those peacefully protesting non-believers like dogs in the street Mr PM! We love it!"

"Seize their accounts Mr PM! They deserve it!"

"Throw that priest in jail Mr PM! Religion is bad. You are our prophet and our master!"

"Kill freedom of speech. Don't let people say things that are true if you don't like them. Truth has no meaning. We will believe CTV and CBC and when their truth eventually changes, we will accept the new truth without question!"

"We will keep saying "vaccine" no matter how much you have to water down the definition of the word to make it fit. Punish the naysayers! Strip them of everything!"

"It's about time we got a passport for traveling within our own  this  Trudeau's country. We are just peons. Our freedoms rely on our absolute compliance with the whim of the government!"

"You are the lead dog Mr PM. We will be happy to look at your ass all day!"

Well it's about time is all I can say. It's a small price to pay, and probably something future generations will have a greater appreciation for than us.

Trudeau must be just seething. ?

First she gets the George Jonas Freedom Award, so he throws her in jail on a BS bail violation and then she gets nominated for a Nobel.

The point is that freedom is what humanity pursues.  It’s the light of Liberty.

It sounds good from a "sustainable earth" POV, but it's also putting us right back to having a monarchy.

I often find myself wishing we had a monarch who could, on occassion, do something to correct the behavior of the government's they had a hand in handing down to us.

Queen Elizabeth especially I believe is at an age and in possession of so much experience but above all else respect and gravitas that her moral authority could have a real effect. Given her short stature the tallest world's leaders would be left feeling like they were being looked at down someone's nose - as they should on occasion.

The entire... industry of governance, if it can be called such a thing, really leaves a lot to be desired. I don't think there's very many governed people on the planet who would disagree. It's just too bad we can't rally ourselves around that instead of all the other nonsense that's seemingly dominating everyone's attention.

I'm reminded off the question posed to George Orwell; "how do we prevent the horrors you've warned us of George?" - "Just don't let them happen." he apparently replied.

How freaking hard can it be?

It's pretty hard when the majority of the population is snoring and completely obedient to absolutely anything the  government tells them to do, without any critical thinking or investigation.

Enjoy your cricket paste.  I don't think it's a coincidence that a new cricket factory for human consumption was just opened in Ontario and I don't believe you will have a choice about consuming cricket paste.  The food shortages that require you to eat cricket paste are manufactured, the same as gas price increases, airport/passport chaos and the so-called pandemic were all manufactured.  We're being led to the slaughterhouse and too many people think they're going to a day spa because the government tells them so.

I suppose that must be true of someone somewhere but don't think I know anyone who trusts the government anymore myself.
