Give me a break, it started long before Tump. It really started to get bad during the Bush administration and the Tea Party.  And don’t you remember McConnell saying the Republican’s # 1 priority would be to make Obama a one term president the day after the 2010 mid terms?

 

The US system of selecting SC justices is a crap system that begs for political interference and it compounds the crap for the lifetime of the judge.

Many argue that the hyper-partisanship really started with Newt Gingrich. He was quite the attack dog in his day. Still though...he had an understanding of reality and didn't tend to engage in the blatant fantasy-island stuff the Dems do today. I guess things evolve...

GW was, of course, a flop-and-a-half. Which is why I find the trotting out of Liz Cheyney on that 1/6 commission such a revealing load of BS.

The Tea-Party...ya they were something else. And probably the beginnings of the MAGA thing. There's one of them I've never had much use for. Cruz. I don't think Cruz has an ounce of honour in him. He's a bonified Swamp Creature.

And ya...lest we forget what a back-stabbing prat McConnell is. I wasn't a huge fan of him not letting Barry get a vote on his SCOTUS pick. I thought his reasoning was...semi-believable...although everyone knows why Mitch did that. His hatred of Barry ran deep indeed.

I was actually proud of the USA when Barry was elected. I didn't even completely disagree with his "Obamacare" thing. But then his foreign policy began to show. The Red Line. His waffling on the Middle East and Israel. His apology tour. Today Barry must sit in his office and laugh.

Yet...the backlash to Donny-Boy was swift and mean. I'd never seen such an intense attempted take-down. It was a full court press of seething lies and unadulterated hatred. A hatred so intense, that they actually excused and deified criminals who burnt down federal court houses and entire areas of major cities. Man that's just a different league of hyper-partisanship.

What do you expect when he starts his campaign by calling Hispanics rapists and murderers. The guy is the king of shit slingers.

I'll let you in on something. Trump supporters can "forgive" his periodic shit-mouth and angry 4am tweets...both of which he really should polish...because of results. He said he was gonna deliver something and he delivered it. Over and over. He presided over the greatest economy ever. The southern border was shut. The wall was on its way to completion. The military had been replenished. The USA was energy independent. Black universities. Opportunity zones. He opposed China's BS unabashedly. He met...face to face...with Kim Jong-Un and brought them to heal. The ISIS caliphate was destroyed. He put the US Embassy in Jerusalem. And he coined a phrase Americans were dying to hear from a leader...

"Make America Great Again"

On the other side of the coin...Libbies gleefully lied and cheated at every turn, just to hurt the man and even attacked his family. That really pissed off a lot of people...A LOT! FYI Sotomayor was exposed as a dunce (possibly a liar, but I'm not going there) when she made her completely ludicrous comments TO THE ENTIRE NATION.

If she was speaking off the cuff to one of her own family members that would be one thing, but she has to know that she needs to be on her A game when she addresses the topic of covid to the public. She should have brushed up on her knowledge but she ended up Bidening it.

She needs to follow the president's example: no teleprompter, no wordies.
