New Brunswick goes full nazi and wants to prevent unvax from buying groceries

that's a them problem

not a you problem

you're the one who wants to stick your nose in their business

not the other way around

It's the business of anyone who suffers because of the unvaccinated taking up hospital resources completely unnecessarily. It is a you problem.

As he presents a binary choice.

Hate to tell you but age is not binary. I can give you multiple scenarios off the same question...20 vs 65, 20 vs 75, 30 vs 65. Distinction by age is the furthest thing from binary but nice try. Of course, its always telling when people don't actually answer the question but instead deflect.

A 20-year-old unvaxed person is more vulnerable than a vaxed 20-year-old and should stay home.

A 30-year-old unvaxed person is more vulnerable than a vaxed 30-year-old and should stay home.

So your simplistic way of viewing things is that anyone that is 'more of a risk'  (regardless by how much) should stay home? So by your logic, then you would agree that anyone over 60 (vaxxed or not) should stay home because they are still hospitalized and dying more than 20 year olds. Also, should Blacks and Hispanics be forced to stay at home as they have been shown to be at higher risk for both hospitalization and death? 95% of deaths in Alberta have been shown to be in people with pre-existing conditions. Clearly anyone with a condition, regardless of their vaxx status should stay home because they are clearly higher risk? So the only people that should NOT stay home are triple vaxxed, 40 and under, white people. Gotcha!

If you are going to make decisions based on risk then you need to make that risk objectively comparable and you have to have an acceptable risk limit.  The people above this acceptable risk are elderly and those with pre-existing conditions. These people NEED to get vaccinated.   People under that acceptable risk should all go on with life regardless of vaxx status, especially is Omicron remains to be as mild as they are saying.

The point and the fact is that in a good quality public system Covid does not create any type of an extraordinary situation and it is not the main draw on the system's resources. The early phase with many unknowns may have been an exception, but now there's much knowledge and effective treatments so there's no excuses either for substandard performance of the system, nor for blanket, not substantiated, often unreasonable and authoritarian policies.

Not in large grocery stores.  And guess what?  Cases went down during those times!  The vast majority of cases are private gatherings not public places like grocery stores.  This is just straight up fascism.

The whole issue with New Brunswick is exactly this. Stores can either enforce 2m distancing (which automatically limits the number of people allowed in the store) or demand to see double-vaxxed papers.

It should not be an either-or. All persons have the rights. I for one would tolerate continued restrictions, so that my brothers and sisters who may be unvaccinated can continue to eat.

What the hell is wrong with you people.

Having second thoughts about the OP, either enforce distancing or check vaccinations.

Right off, did you notice the paradox here: the government collects your taxes and tells businesses what to do, extra and on top of their direct and immediate business, without giving them anything? Fair, right? We're being paid but you do this and this because you have to.

Next, one has to read it as, if you check vaccinations then distancing is not needed. Did I read it wrong? But what about all those outbreaks in 100% vaccinated places? Is it responsible of the governments to eliminate distancing (that worked and works) in favor of vaccination that does not prevent infection and transmission?

Of course, there's another possibility: governments know that infections simply do not happen in a grocery store. They did not in the first year when without masks and vaccinations there were few if any outbreaks traced to stores. What does it mean? That in this case, the regulations aren't necessary. That is, the problem does not exist and government, yet again, is paying itself our money for fixing problems that do not exist while failing those that need fixing and sometimes quite urgently.

So either unnecessary and arbitrary regulations; or lack of responsibility. How many more experiences and iterations are needed to finally understand that government "out of abundance of caution", "because we think so" and "because we can", without checks; controls; obligation to explain and defend; oversight and recourse is never, ever a good idea? Will we, ever, understand that, finally?

We also went from "Save the gramdmas" to "Take this experimental jab or lose your job" pretty quick.

Now grocery stores have been given governmental permission to ban certain people from buying food.

Incremental.

That's how it happened in Germany too.  And with each successive step, people like Dialamah agreed it was all "for the greater good" and would eliminate typhoid if they just banned the Jews from society.

This has nothing to do so much with vaccines anymore. It has more to do with implementing globalist communism in Canada. To deny anyone access to buy food, a required necessity to live, is a crime against humanity. And yet, here we have some of our traitorous politicians no doubt thinking about possibly making such a move.

Anyone here who accepts this communist tyranny needs to have their mental health and IQ checked out now. Those pro vaccine screwballs are contributing and supporting the loss of their own freedoms for slavery.

Make no mistake about it. What we are seeing happening in Canada today is a communist agenda in action to trying to force we the peasants to accept our loss of freedoms and become slaves of the state. Do as you are told or it will be the gulag for you. Refuse the booster. ?

Yes we have.  Our judiciary, mainstream media, and dominant two political parties are basically mindless followers of CNN and WHO official-speak.  Whatever you read in TorStar articles in your smartphone feed is broadcast on CBC and becomes Liberal Canadian policy the next day.  It’s a parade of nanny overprotective fear-mongering, but Canadians don’t question authority or value their freedom enough.  It’s really sad how we’ve sold out our democracy.

When these docile and obedient Canadian sheep start to see as to what is going on in Australia today where people who refuse to get vaccinated are being put in quarantine/concentration camps. They have to stay in those communist concentration camps for 14 days. Rumor has it that here in Canada Castro Trudeau has already started to build concentration camps for those who refuse to get vaxxed.

This smacks of communism and if no one can see this by now then they are really and truly as dumb as a doorknob. no insults meant for doorknobs. At least doorknobs are useful. Some Canadians are not. All those bimbos have to do is go on the internet and go watch as to what is going on in Australia today where citizen's are being put in concentration camps for refusing to take the jab. Why are people being put in concentration camps for refusing to take the jab is beyond me. We are all seeing today communism at work here in Canada.

Hello out there? It is getting later than you think. Wake up. ?

Only it's not "why", it's OK you're here, finally. Why is quite obvious: you get only that, that you accept, agree to and pay for. And this is what we ordered, collectively, in 150 years of a group slumber party. And look, it has arrived.

It's because they keep believing the promises.  It doesn't matter what the government promises them or how many times they are lied to, they keep thinking/hoping that THIS time the government will do what it says it will do.

It's the "boiling the frog" analogy.

Also, they don't see the picture because it's not them being tyrannized - yet.

Trudeau's big thing is climate and they are already tying covid to climate change in the media.  The vax pass is going to morph into much more.

Wait til they can't drive to go see their grandkids or can't buy those steaks for dinner because they used up all their carbon credits for the month.  Wait til they decide they don't want the 10th or 11th or 12th jab and their pass is revoked and they can't go farther than 2 kms from their house. Wait til they can't go anywhere or do anything or their kids can't go to university because they didn't build up enough social credits.

They'll be crying then but it will be too late. For everybody.

Exactly, thanks for putting it so eloquently. The vaxx crowd is trying to swipe any legitimate question and discussion under the carpet by binary interpretation of risks, either it's exact zero (really? does it exist in this Universe?) or aiiii and oiiiii and sky is falling and anything and everything justified. Certainly, evaluation of a risk has to be objective, transparent and that means, explainable and defendable. Otherwise what's there to prevent aiiii! sky is falling and now you're all mandated to stay in this bunker?

That was with the original virus strains which were all bulldozed by Delta. You need to get past 2020, it’s almost 2022..

Not at all what the situation is: NB is going into Level 1 restrictions, which requires groceries stores (among others) to enforce physical distancing OR MAY require proof of vaccination.  No ban from government.  CHOICE given to businesses.  Even your link said that this is an OPTION given to businesses and NOT a ban universally imposed.

This OP is simply fearmongering.

It's not fear mongering, you even acknowledged that his own OP was accurate about the fact that businesses didn't HAVE TO ban people.

The thread title is also accurate, because the gov't wouldn't be allowing stores to ban people if they didn't want them to ban people.

All of the vax nazi initiatives are brought in at a slow and steady pace.

Masks for a couple weeks, but just for adults.

Ok, indefinitely now. And kids have to wear masks.

Shutdowns for a couple weeks.

Ok, indefinitely now.

Forced vaccinations to do this and that, for adults only, but no mandates, ever.

Ok, mandates in some government buildings, but just for the peons, not for the higher-ups.

OK, mandates for everyone who works for the government.

OK, kids over 12 can get vaccinated now, but it won't be mandatory anywhere.

OK, forced vaccinations for kids over 12 to go to some places, not any younger.

OK, forced vaccinations for 5-11s too now.

Everyone in the public sector has to be vaccinated now or they lose their jobs without pay, and they have no access to EI or CERB.

Private sector companies can get rid of employees if they want, and they have no access to EI or CERB.

Now the Gov't of NB is saying that stores can ban unvaxxed people. They are god-damned nazis, 100%.

I would never set foot in a store than banned me, even for 1 second, due to my vax status. I'd literally never go there again. I wouldn't even buy water there if I was on fire.

There's a gradual increase in the number of people vaxxed, and at every turn the gov't puts more and ore pressure on the next group of people, sometimes illegally, and they are relying on the ones who are already vaccinated to help them put pressure on the unvaxxed.

Nazi Gov't: "Let's just force a few more groups to take it."

Vaxtards: "I took the vaccine of my own free will. Everyone else should have to take it."

Me: "If you even dream of touching my kid with a needle you better wake the fuck up and apologize."

There are vaccines now, and 80+% are vaccinated.  It’s completely unnecessary.
