Ukraine says Russia is going to attack. But why is it still shelling its own citizens in the East of the country?

Well...so says this guy or that...

Putin knows it's a big poker bluff...and he has four of a kind.

America and Canada have their truckers and the Russia has theirs. What is the problem? That is the general message coming from Moscow. Glass houses and such.

National integrity??? It is to laugh. The southern US border? Roxham road? But some patch of steppe you've never heard of is oh so important to safety. Safety for their dirty money and Hunter Biden's crack pipes.

Fun fact...the area in question isn't that far from Stalingrad.

Wake up, the Cold War is on again. NATO will have no choice but to build up forces in Western Europe. The Canadian military might be about to see better times. Hopefully this will turn into another Afghanistan for Russia.

Are you really dumb enough to think this has anything to do with Hunter Biden? Are you that fucking stupid or is your real name Boris?

NATO's chief concern right now is will the Russians stop at the outer Ukraine borders, They are now scrambling to reinforce those border countries with new troops. But here is the problem Most NATO countries have been down sizing their military for years now, leaving them unprepared, under equipped .

As for Canada, even if Justin opened up the all the banks today, Canada would have nothing or very little to contribute, at most it might be able to send a brigade size force maybe 6-7000 troops, but it would have to strip equipment and man power from the other 2 brigades. they are brigades on paper only. It should be noted ( Brigade is the smallest battle element on a strategic map) Any equipment lost in combat, would be gone forever, there is not enough time place orders for new equipment as most NATO countries would be concerned about equipping their own nations military..

And the equipment that brigade has now is mostly obsolete, when compared to Russian, or any of our allied it would be like going to war with bolt action ross rifles, while the other side has AK74. nothing has changed since Gulf war I and II, Afghanistan, where we embarrassed our nation by showing up for a conflict with our plaid PJ's and slippers and a fur tuque ...a G-7 country unable no unwilling to equip it's military with anything of value, not to mention all the defensive pacts we have signed has to make you wonder...

Experts around the globe have been telling Canada this for years to NO avail, Any future conflict will be come as you are, meaning if you don't have it your not getting it any time soon.. But hey we have done the same thing in WWI and WWII, stripped our military to the bones, in some cases to a mere couple thousand regular force personal, and in doing so it means our lack of action in the last 20 years is going to cost lives lots of them.

Once todays trained army is gone or lost, who is going to train the next batch , who is going to lead them, what experience are they going to draw on... we have not learned anything from our history, becasue we have been to busy chasing the all mighty dollar...

An historian once said it is cheaper to bury soldiers than it is to equip them for modern Combat, I think our governments took that to be the direction to take. What Canadians forget is when the shit does hit the fan, and their sons and daughters are called up to fight, they to will have the same equipment to fight with..

And only you, the WEF and The Ukraine care.

Guess that's why all the western countries are announcing unprecedented sanctions on Russia, including their likely exclusion from the SWIFT banking system. Boris Johnson just announced a whole litany of sanctions. Starmer stood up and said bring them on, the opposition will support them.

Damn Russia. This country or nation has done nothing but harm to the whole world. Not to mention killing of millions of their own people post revolution, just a look at their recent aggression, military invasion of Hungary in 1956, military invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1967, military invasion of Afghanistan in 1980, and now they plan to invade defenseless nation of Ukraine. They are also allied with the most murderous regimes in the world like Bashir Assad of Syria and islamic republic regime imposed on defenseless Iranian nation.

Death to Russia. I hope this country is completely and totally destroyed from the face of this planet and everyone will be better off.

This damn evil country did it again after weeks of denials they eventually did it and invaded Ukraine. Murderous Putin no wonder his best friends and allies are islamic Iran, Military murderous Assad and murderous North Korea.

Putin wants to relive the good times. Nothing to do with Hunter or Trump or anybody. Putin wants the USSR back. So simple.

Once again we see that you are incapable of sticking to the facts and truth. Why is anyone surprised?

I didn't say that Russia is entitled to anything. I said the Russian empire started in the Ukrainian lands. I also said that Putin is well aware of who the leader of the USA, and by extension NATO, and takes advantage of the week willed ones that come along. Interestingly enough...they all are Democrats.

On August 26th, Russia broke the French-brokered deal by recognizing Georgia’s break-away regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent countries. For the past ten years, Russia has occupied Abkhazia and South Ossetia in violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Trump Republicans...favour actions by their governing bodies be taken to their benefit...not the benefit of other people in other nations.! I don't know Putin, so I don't like or really dislike the person. I do, however, respect his judgment. He appears to know when he can make moves, by gauging the fibre of the opposition. A skill...I might add...not terribly present in Barry or Ol' Joe. As for George...we both know that the USA had no stomach for more wars in 2008...the year Barrack Hussein Obama was elected POTUS.

Please stop this intellectual flailing about. Its embarrassing to watch.

What hilarious apologizing!

Putin’s Russia is an enemy of the west and of America and the Democrats treat him as such, unlike Trump and his acolytes who continue to fawn all over Putin    And you’re calling  for appeasing Putin and ignoring his aggression in Europe exactly the way Republicans called for appeasing Hitler and ignoring his aggression in Europe, its no surprise considering you’re all right-wing fascists

These Are the American Right-Wingers Covering for Putin as Russia Invades Ukraine

From Tucker Carlson to Tulsi Gabbard, these prominent Moscow apologists tried to tell you Ukraine’s fate shouldn’t matter to America

Obama = Putin invades Crimea

Trump = Russian troops get bombed in Syria

Biden = Putin invades Ukraine

Meanwhile, Canada's NATO capabilities have been seriously degraded by years of neglect and deadbeat defence spending.   Send Christia Freeland over to defend her beloved Ukraine.

Most of the enlargement of the Russian Empire came in the 19th century under the Czars, not under the Soviets.

Evil is not only summarized in enlargement but millions of executions after the evil communist revolution that followed violation of human rights, oppression and repression of half of Europe over half a century of evil communist rule.

Well yeah once Putin had his ally Trump in the White House he didn’t need to resort to such direct measures. He could focus on taking down Ukraine from within, while Trump did everything to undermine Europe and NATO and made it clear he was 100% on board with Putin and would not intervene.

Trump did mot “bomb Russian troops”. He did one symbolic missile strike gesture on a Syrian base where he warned Russia (and therefore Syria)  ahead of time. There were zero Russian casualties and an insignificantly small amount of Syrian equipment/vehicles were destroyed thanks to Trumps advance warning.  He did kill a number of civilians including 4 children though.   Good job!

Even now has Trump yet condemned Putin’s invasion?  So far he’s gone out of his way to publicly call the invasion “genius” and “smart”  and “wonderful” and called Russian invasion force a “peace force” while his mouthpieces and acolytes like Tucker Carlson openly tell their viewers they’re rooting for Russia

Trump correctly called out NATO deadbeats like Canada that served to embolden Putin in the first place.

Send Christia over...then start whining about what Americans should or shouldn't do.

He did.

No one should go.

Geography alone pretty much makes military intervention impossible so are you for stiffer sanctions, fewer sanctions or none at all. Pick a side other than partisan politics.

Well “NATO deadbeats”, vs. a power-mad military dictator like Putin threatening the world and invading European neighbors. I guess we all have our priorities ?

That Foolish Democrat FDR standing up to Hitler when we all know that instead he should have been trying to undermine England and France and the rest of Europe for being “military deadbeats” and calling Hitler a “genius”…will we ever live it down?

You know the US WANTS to outnumber all the other militaries in NATO right? That’s by design and always has been
