Jeshan
Yall know, BREXIT was the cancellation of one glorious power, the EU, and now england and the UK stands alone. What if a new, equally formidable super power, i.e the USA, formed a pact in the place of the EU?
Aristides
Now the UK is running out of gasoline because they don't have enough truck drivers. Many EU citizen drivers left the country after Brexit and EU drivers don't want to deliver to the UK because of all the red tape involved. Don’t you think geography has a bigger impact on making a glorious power than even like-mindedness does? NAFTA EU APEC CARICOM GCC All these free trade pacts are linked by geography of some sort. Dismissing geography as a driver, do you think Great Britain would allow free travel to American citizens like they did with the EU? Wouldn’t there need to be an amalgamation of several laws before this could happen?
Aristides
Do you think the US would allow Brits to freely live and work in the US like they could in EU countries? I doubt it,

I doubt it, The US currently does allow people to stream across the southern border and those people are entitled to health care and other entitlements. If they so choose they can work as well. If there are certain demands for more skilled labour they should be given preference.

suds
The US and UK are ultimately on the same page regarding many of the concerns over the free movement of people and labor across their borders. The UK has a long history of being opposed to anything remotely resembling european integration overreach. Free trade... yes. Adopting the euro currency or border free schengen agreement ... no. Even the USMCA does not allow the free movement of labor across national boundaries. Maybe the UK should apply to join the USMCA.

More than people realize. There are a lot of professions that are allowed to freely move across borders if there is a job, without having to go through immigration:https://www.nafsa.org/regulatory-information/usmca-chapter-16-appendix-2-professionals
