Mother of Wet'suwet'en man killed by Campbell River RCMP seeks answers and an inquest 3. B.C.'s historic heat wave gets some homeowners thinking about how to better cool buildings 4. George Henry, pioneering Indigenous broadcaster and 'force of change,' has died 5. Evacuation orders issued, another lifted as wildfires challenge fire crews across B.C. 6. BC Hydro investigating damage to submarine cables that carry power to Vancouver Island 7. B.C. First Nation says more than 160 unmarked graves found 8. Al Jazeera and Euronews have good roundups of what's going on in the world - news you won't see on CBC or CTV. As for what's going on in Canada. Who knows? Covid and natives. The worst thing isn't that the stories are all negative, it's that they're all framed politically. Covid: "Trudeau is awesome, way better than Trump!" - (which was a lie, Trump accomplished a lot while Trudeau botched every single thing aspect of covid) Kamloops Res School - no mention that Pierre Trudeau actually funded those schools. No mention of his unflattering comments about FN culture, rights, or treaty money. The story is covered from the false narrative that the most likely cause of death was murder (it was the Spanish Flu, smallpox, etc), schools were created out of racism, etc. The LPOC-owned media here likes to create this false narrative of harsh Canadian racism so that they can pimp Trudeau's virtue-signalling campaign as a holy crusade. Maybe the instant nature of news has lent it too much importance. How much of what is deemed important today has any value in a month or two?
