Another Liberal cock up...

One regards an alleged relationship with a woman he significantly outranked while he was chief of defence staff. The other is in relation to a 2012 email in which Vance appeared to suggest to a much younger female corporal that the two go to a clothing-optional vacation destination.

And while this mat not be very concerning to most Canadians, the series of charges are taken very serious in the military, in fact so serious it has ended many careers of not only soldiers but very senior officers.  Having relations or sexual relations on any deployment is against Military law, even if it is with your wife, getting caught would mean a huge fine, and the lost of thousands of dollars in benefits.

Having sexual relations with a subordinate is not only frowned upon, but will kill a career faster than getting caught taking a dump on the PM desk. it would result in a court marshal with mind blowing fines, removal from what ever position they are holding, sent home in disgrace, to at minimum  a pissed off wife who if your lucky has not emptied all the bank accounts and moved out...and most likely the member would be forced to retire or sent to a desk forever, not likely to ever see another promotion.

The minister being a member of DND at one time would have known all this info, and as the CDS boss he should have taken direct action. I mean not just make someone aware , but had a talk to the CDS and have him end everything connected to the relationship.

I mean the CDS and the minister are the author of OP Honor which covers this type of behavior and much more. If the CDS is guilty then this should be prosecuted to the fullest, and the Minister should bare some reasonability as well, as they are the Command team, and he knew what was going on and could have prevented this media circus. ... OP Honor has already claimed many careers , and for good reason it would be ironic that it claimed one of the authors as well.

It should also be noted that our good man Justin is responsible for also picking the CDS appointment ...  Man he is on a role right ....

Minister’s office knew of concerns about Vance in 2018: sources (msn.com)

Army guy, you're failing to see the big picture.

The government needed a cooperative Vance in place to keep the lid on information about their involvement in the Admiral Norman prosecution, and to keep as much information as possible from both Norman's legal team and the media. Vance was a good boy, first removing Norman for no real reason other than suspicions he might have leaked Liberal plans to trash the Davie Shipbuilding agreement to build the navy a supply ship, then keeping the information quiet.

Little things like unethical behaviour couldn't be used to interfere with that. What do the Liberals care about unethical behaviour, anyway? The minister you're referring to was caught lying about his accomplishments in Afghanistan to an ally, and was never removed, despite the humiliation. And, of course, Trudeau is hardly a paragon of virtue on the subject either.

Well there you go once again the liberals have given all of us a sample of what a transparent government looks like.

Here we have the Minister of National Defence who must talk to the PM atleast once a day for a morning brief at minimum , do we think that he did not tell the PM of the CDS problems, but felt it needed to be reported to the privy council but not the PM. He like any minister does not take a shit without the PM knowing, let alone make any decision that may come and bite them in the ass, and right after the GG thing, no way... Justin was briefed that was for sure...

Defence Minister won’t say if prime minister knew about allegations facing former defence chief (msn.com)

Not to sound metaphorical but the CAF really has to learn to pick their battles, a miss speak or out of line comment is really no reason to dismiss a senior officer. I have spoken to several friends that have been in the CAF and if your skin is that thin? you should seriously be looking elsewhere for a career.

And keeping this sort of thing out of the press would be a very good idea if your looking to recruit new members.

Just my opinion!

Well considering ex gen Vance is the author of Operation honor which has seen the ending of hundreds of careers for a lot less than he has been accuses of, of course every dog has his day in court, and if not guilty they should put an end to all of this, but if he is guilty he should be hung out to dry. He was the top dog, and the CAF has made it a stead fast motto, you lead by example and from the front, with honor, integrity, and courage. if he is guilty he has shown none of those attributes. and flushed his entire career and everything the military stood for, for nothing more than chick that gave him a boner.

Today they announce that the NEW CDS is also accused of the same thing, soldiers every where are now asking WTF is the problem with the senior staff.... once again if proven guilty these guys should be shown the curb, with a huge boot in their ass...
