no need to worry, high school ged reps will carry the weight for the pubes and teach us all about the necessity of having cool toys and crazy conspiracy theories.

Another zero education moron and irresponsible gun owner Trumptard.   She also tweeted support for the insurrection attack on the Capitol while it was happening.

Boebert framed her objection to the committee rule, predictably, around an ardent defense of the Second Amendment. She also inquired about safe storage for her firearm in the event that she is disarmed at the Capitol and receiving a personal security detail.

“On January 6, none of us were looking to our neighbors saying, ‘Gosh, I wish there were enough metal detectors outside,’” Boebert said, referencing the deadly insurrection led by Trump supporters. “This is a blatant violation of our constitutional rights.

The irony of it is hillarious.  She wants to have guns to protect herself from the people she fights for their rights to carry guns.  Its like trying to put out a fire with gas lol

And because of the presence of the national guard she calls the capital "fort Pelosi",  but now she wants her own security detail.... ?

America is a one party-state now and will be to the foreseeable future but are the democrats happy? No they aren't. They seem to get angrier than ever.

They're controlling all of the levers of power now (except for the Judiciary of course), but their donors are as rightwing on economic issues as the Republicans, so they can't or won't put a public healthcare bill in place, or do major public spending on infrastructure. So, all they got left is making a lot of noise about race and gender issues. Now that Trump is gone, how are they going to keep this game going in the future?

They're back in the saddle at a time when a lingering pandemic has destroyed businesses and millions of jobs, and many of those jobs aren't coming back afterwards. And they don't have an FDR in charge....just a senile old man who was never good for anything in his best day! The next few years under President Joe, will be like having Herbert Hoover back in the White House.

As I told you:  if Trump signed 1,000 terrible executive orders over the course of his presidency, Biden is within his rights to reverse all of them on day 1 of his presidency.  There’s no rule that says you have to spread them out or anything. Don’t be an idiot.  I know that’s asking a lot of you.

Why are you such a snotty little brat all the time?

Can't you just politely lie or be wrong for a change?

ROTFLMAO!!!!   That is the funniest thing I’ve heard in a long time!!  Republican altered reality strikes again

ROTFLMAO!!!! Russia was changing the map at will when Obama was POTUS and all Obama did was send Ukraine some blankets.

Putin got his nose smacked several times when Trump was POTUS. All that Putin could do was try to hack some computers. He was reduced to snivelling.

I get my info from the real world not your revisionist alternative  history.

The Great Reset ended over the period of 2012-2014 due to Magnitsky Act and then Russian annexation of Crimea, the downing of a civilian airliner by Russian proxy forces and other hostile moves by Putin against the West generally and wester-friendly officials in Ukraine especially.

Revisionist history lol. YAY you know two big words.

Too bad for you, everything that I said was 100% correct: Obama and Hillary actually were Russia's stooges and Russia rag-dolled America and Europe while Obama was POTUS. "LOOK, WE PUSHED THE BIG RED BUTTON!!!!!!" lol.

FYI, if they noticed their pants down around their ankles after their butts were already rosy and they were bent over a barrel that's not an example of great leadership.

Thanks for creating peace in our time Hillary!!!

Meanwhile @WestCanMan@Infidel Dogand @bush_cheney2004 have been completely silent about how in conservative paradise the Republican corporatist elitist agenda is on full display while Ted Cruz and other Republican lawmakers abandoned their constituents and fled the state during a major emergency

Texas freeze shows a chilling truth – how the rich use climate change to divide us

The Lone Star State is aptly named. If you’re not part of the Republican oil elite with Cruz and Abbott, you’re on your own

Texas has long represented a wild west individualism that elevates personal freedom – this week, the freedom to freeze – above all else.

The state’s prevailing social Darwinism was expressed most succinctly by the mayor of Colorado City, who accused his constituents – trapped in near sub-zero temperatures and complaining about lack of heat, electricity and drinkable water – of being the “lazy” products of a “socialist government”, adding “I’m sick and tired of people looking for a damn handout!” and predicting “only the strong will survive and the weak will perish”.

Texas has the third-highest number of billionaires in America, most of them oil tycoons. Last week, the laissez-faire state energy market delivered a bonanza to oil and gas producers that managed to keep production going during the freeze. It was “like hitting the jackpot”, boasted the president of Comstock Resources on an earnings call. Jerry Jones, billionaire owner of the Dallas Cowboys, holds a majority of Comstock’s shares.

But most other Texans were marooned. Some did perish.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, which manages the flow of electric power, exempted affluent downtowns from outages, leaving thriving parts of Austin, Dallas and Houston brightly lit while pushing less affluent precincts into the dark and cold.

...In Texas, for-profit energy companies have no incentive to prepare for extreme weather or maintain spare capacity. Even if they’re able to handle surges in demand, prices go through the roof and poorer households are hit hard. If they can’t pay, they’re cut off.

...

The white working class is taking as much of a beating as most Black and Latino people.

Yet the white working class has been seduced by conservative Republicans and Trump cultists, of which Texas has an abundance, into believing that what’s good for Black and Latino people is bad for them, and that whites are, or should be, on the winning side of the social Darwinian contest.

White grievance helps keep Republicans in power, protecting their rich patrons from a majority that might otherwise join to demand what they need – such as heat, electricity, water and reliable sources of power.

Lower-income Texans, white as well as Black and Latino, are taking it on the chin in many other ways. Texas is one of the few states that hasn’t expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act, leaving the share of Texans without health insurance twice the national average, the largest uninsured population of any state. Texas has double the national average of children in poverty and a higher rate of unemployment than the nation’s average....

So you think that Russia didn't change the world map when Obama was president? Newsflash, they absolutely did.

Can you even find Crimea on a map?

After you google it, can you tell me what country it is part of now? Then find out what country it was part of before Obama was president.

What kind of aid did Obama provide to Ukraine? What kind of aid did Trump provide to Ukraine? Do some homework and get back to me on that.

You'll find that the difference between Trump's support for Ukraine and Obama's was night and day.

That's not even an article, it's purely an opinion piece by a racist, Demonrat, propagandist.

For some reason you bolded this part, which is just purely moronic fantasy without even a shred of supporting evidence. That opinion piece contains exactly the same amount of evidence that Hillary rides around on a broom as it does to support the notions that you bolded.

If he wrote that there were Republicans living on the surface of the Sun would you boost that shit too? Just out of curiosity, do you think that there is evidence of that in your link?

You think Obama didn’t do anything in response ?  Go look up Magnitsky Act and also the sanctions Obama imposed.  Meanwhile in Trump tower Trumps team met with Russians to discuss repealing the act. And Trump lifted sanctions Obama imposed on on a Putin crony (Trumps move was blocked by Congress). And Trumps campaign was full of pro-Russian lobbyists like Flynn who were actively trying to undo Magbitsky amd sanctions. And Trump defending and praising Putin and Russia at every turn.

So you’re unaware of the situation in the Republican shithole of Texas?  Mismanaged deregulated power grid, government that says to people in need “only the strong survive, the weak will parrish (sic)”, Rich areas exempted from rolling blackouts that killed people?  $8,000 electricity bills, some of the worst poverty and uninsured rates in the country?

And how is it racist lol. It’s exactly how Republicans get working class people to vote against their own economic  interests and serve their corporate masters:  they get you all worked up over blacks and trannies and political correctness and distract you from all the ways they’re turning the country into a dysfunctional polluted shithole run by ultra-rich oligarchs

Blankets.

That's what Obama's actual response to Russian aggression was.

Liberal Shithole:

(pronounced: deməˌkrat stāt) Eg, California, Illinois

A place where the criminally active/negligent/stupid governance creates poverty & homelessness where there would otherwise be prosperity.

Sure, you managed to find a quote by 1 single, solitary idiot, but the majority of Demonrats still look at murder zones as places where the police need to be defunded and the rights of criminals to carry illegal guns should be protected.

Liar.

By March 2015, the US had committed more than $120 million in security assistance for Ukraine and had pledged an additional $75 million worth of equipment including UAVs, counter-mortar radars, night vision devices and medical supplies, according to the Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency.

That assistance also included some 230 armored Humvee vehicles.

And you’re in complete denial that there were Sanctions too apparently.

Meanwhile Trump froze aid to Ukraine for personal political gain

So to recap you’re totally dodging the subject of the actual disaster Republicans have caused in Texas with some meaningless generic diatribe  about liberals, referencing made-up things that don’t exist or make sense like “murder zones” and “ rights of criminals to carry illegal guns”.

Beave call home. They miss you. Seriously, click over to RandomThoughtsCommentsandObservations.

But back on topic. You appear to be missing me here. Ahhh...ain't that cute.

So yeah. Ted Cruz took his kids to Cancun for the weekend and the Global Corporate Left, Powers that Be ordered its followers to freak out about it.

Not sure why. Ted Cruz has nothing to do with state government. He's federal. There's nothing he could do about the Texas Grid. If I had the money to take my kids to Cancun and dodge a weekend in the Texas deep-freeze it's what I'd do too. And don't lie, so would you.

I'm not even sure how much state government does. I was under the impression it was the ironically named "  Electric Reliability Council of Texas  that was responsible.

They feel kind of lefty to me. A quarter of texas energy comes from wind. ERCOT could have spent that money it infested in unreliable alternatives like wind and invested it in winterizing the more reliable traditional energies (starting with insulating pipes and such.) Also in making sure re-supply of coal and natural gas was available. It's what real conservatives would have done. It's even what Trump would have done.

Whoever ERCOT is I hope they'll get smarter now.

And yet Texans and Republicans were outraged and Cruz came back the very next day apologizing and changing his story more times than he changed his underwear. So while YOU’RE not sure, everyone else seems to be. And he wasn’t the only Republican cut and run:  Texas state lawmaker Gary Gates took a private jet to Florida. Republicans are elitists who set the peasants up for misery with while they live in luxury.

Clearly. But yet go on to offer your admittedly uninformed opinions on the subject  anyway.

The dumbest thing I’ve heard all day, especially about a state as red as Texas. Although you already admitted you have no idea what you’re talking about.

It’s actually only 10%. And it’s hilarious that you think in an oil and gas right wing state like Texas windmills are the problem.

And Funny the windmills are working just fine here in the Canadian winter and everywhere else in the world right now, even in Antarctica so it’s laughable that you’d be so gullible to believe frozen windmills are the problem and not the frozen oil, coal and gas plants.

Once again we see how the corporatist conservativeshave under-regulated the private sector and under-invested in infrastructure.
