Army Guy
Can anyone please tell this is not another sign that the UN has or is becoming obsolete. Yes Russia ,China, Cuba have been elected to council, Saudi Arabia however did not... How far does this "I'll use corruption for the lack of a better term" go, what other UN agencies are as tainted.. And those that still believe the UN is still doing some good, or not tainted by governments with an agenda.. what agencies are there. Quote "The U.N. General Assembly once again elected countries with abhorrent human rights records," U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Tuesday. "These elections only further validate the U.S. decision to withdraw and use other venues and opportunities to protect and promote universal human rights." Shows what I know. The UN would never be stupid or corrupt enough to allow countries like that on the HRC. That said, I knew the Saudis were up to something... The UN became obsolete when they elected Muammar Gaddafi's Libya as President - President no less - of the UN Human Rights Commission and that was way back in 2003.
