The problem with relying on the next election is there is no alternative. Mr. O'Toole could be a glimmer of a so-so alternative, but there is really nobody to vote for. I will never vote for MacKay. I was a Tory activist since the 1962 election, but that Judas destroyed the Party and sold us out to the Bolshevik Socialist Credit/ Reform. Singh is a non-starter. When Balchet, the most capable learder,  is a separatist, we have a serious problem in this country. If the Grits ever do the honourable thing and replace Prime Minister Trudeau with Chrystia Freeland, it will make the choice a lot easier.

Chrystia Freeloader is damaged goods.  She's condoned the disgusting behavior, groping, lying, theft of tax $$, conflict of interest, and the complete disdain of Canada on the world stage.  She has nothing to offer.   The boy in Ottawa is suck-holing to China, whereas the rest of the world is calling out China for what it is . . . a predatory entity.  This country has made a fool of itself, a country of fools. Fools voted in this entitled inept boy . . . . . Chrystia Freeloader?  We deserve better.

Okay, who? Ms. Ambrose and Ms. Raitt declined. The so-called conservative party has no one else to offer. Blanchett is capable but there is that pesky little matter of separatism. Who is there in the centre with the gravitas to lead? The public have made politics an unpleasant vocation for truly qualified people.

You will have to explain these accusations. For instance, what documentation do you have as evidence for "theft of tax$$" or her condoning groping?

What evidence do you have to support your accusation that Canada is held in "complete disdain on the world stage? She did an excellent job in negociating NAFTA. In domestic affairs, in the pandemic crisis she recieved acolades from the Premiers. Premier Ford referred to her as his new BFF.

Erin O'Toole . . . .

He's no Lisa Raitt or Rona Ambrose and seems to be positioning himself a bit too close to the socialist credit splinter of the party. I have heard he is actually a Red Tory, and if he shows himself to be one, he will get my vote.

We need someone who's ability and integrety far out strips their ego.

There are alternatives. I always tell my friends that as far as elections go,just pick the best of the worst in a sense.Trudeau will never do the right thing and step down simply because of his latest breach of ethics. Why not contact your MP and let him or her know how you feel? Chrystia Freeland isn't the answer either, all hype and little substance.

So much for openness ,transparency and accountability right?

Again, who?  I am a life-long Tory but I see no one in the leadership race who makes me want to vote for them. Why should we have to pick the best of the worst? Where are the happy warriors that led Hugh Seagel's Tory Crusade?

It's a matter of opinion. I am not thrilled with any of the current Conservative leadership candidates but I would hazard a guess that any of them would be quite an improvement over Justin Trudeau.I will admit that the Conservative Party is Liberal lite though. For myself, voting NDP is never going to happen. I like Maxime Bernier too so supporting his PPC is another option.

PPC is not an option. It is too far from the centre. Also, Bernier is not very smart. He mis-read the mood of the electorate when he opposed the Dairy protections. He has no idea of the disaster confronting the planet by the greenhouse effect. He left secret documents at his Hells Angel girlfriend's house. But mainly, he believes in an ideology, just like Singh. Voters already know they are smart. You do not win elections by trying to change their minds. You win elections by listening to what they are saying and doing what you can to make their wishes come true. That is democracy. If the so-called Conservative Party is Liberal lite, that is because that is where the votes are. The Conservative Party has a choice. It can sit in the farthest reaches of the back benches and join the tiny whining of the NDP and the Greens, or it can strive to become government and give the country honest, capable government that will listen to the voters who are really the people who are supposed to be running the country. The politicians are there to listen and do what they are told, with the exception of emergencies such as pandemics and climate catastrophe, and then they listen to the scientists who know what they are talking about.

I wonder how many of the people who collect paycheques from We are also in groups like Antifa and BLM.

It is probably just my imagination, but now, when I see clips of these big gatherings, WE almost seems like a cult like Scientology. I'm not comparing the Prime Minister to Tom Cruise. It just looks a bit scarey through the lens of recent events.

I guess they can't say Prime Minister Trudeau gets a free pass from the CBC any more.

WE Charity was in financial trouble well before COVID. But even as they were in breach of their bank covenants, they flowed funds out of the charity and into the Kielburgers' for-profit company at a level Canada's charity watchdog had never seen before.

Trudeau's Liberals  filibustered  the Ethics Committee preventing a vote on themotion to investigate Trudeau’s $900M Scandal.   If they have nothing to hide, why are they doing this.

Also, the WE Charity is not a registered lobbyist which means their access to Trudeau is well outside accepted and legal channels.   How can this not be political corruption  as well as an ethics violation..   to the tune of at least $43,000,000.

I'm pretty sure that the only impropriety here was the minor issue of Justing Trudeau not bothering to recuse himself from the obvious decision of award $900M to the We charity to 'do their thing' with. I saw that on the news and I heard it on the radio.

I don't know where you get this subversive nonsense from. Facts are not welcome in any discussions about our Dear Leader!

Funny thing, the other day Trudeau said that they never used lawyer-client privilege to muzzle JWR during LavScam. She should take that as permission to just let loose now.

I think PPC stood for change, Bernier did have his problems, but not half as much as Justins band of merry men...I'm not sure why people are in favor of federal supported cartels, that force the little farmer out of the milk business, or fishermen, the list goes on  and on.... leaving large farms to really run the show, driving up prices tax payers/ consumers to pay for the whole shot...Anyways the PPC is yesterdays news... other Conservatives Candidates , what about Derick Sloan is the closets to Bernier and has some out of the box ideas....

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

These polls are nothing more than the MSM trying hard to downplay the public's perception of this scandal.

Do you honestly feel like you never lost any respect for Trudeau through this latest scandal? Do you know a single person whose opinion of the Liberals has actually gone up through this? Even the bottom 1/3 of the gene pool understands that this level of government corruption can't go unpunished.

1. Yes.
2. No.
3. 31% of the bottom third of the gene pool can't operate a pencil, so they avoid the voting booth.  The other 2% vote PPC.

So, in case you missed it this is the level of scandal that only enrages the converted.  It's too bad, because I feel it would be great if they did something about this level of malfeasance.  I have low respect for the government in their habits of glad handing and knowing what's good for us so nothing changed with me.

Social con will never win. O'toole is the only hope.  And give the reigns to freeland. Then she can explain her families nazi history.

Because someone in her family had a Nazi history you believe she is a Nazi? Everyone has someone in their family with a bad history. I have an ancestor who was one of a small group of English businessmen who started selling Africans as slaves to the Colonies in America. He doesn't represent my views.

If O'Toole shows he is a Red Tory, he will stand a better chance of winning an election. I agree a social con will never win. Most voters are in the centre. We need to provide a welcoming place for Blue Liberals who are disenchanted with the PM's cavalier creation of the WE crisis.
