Biden pledged to pick a woman as his running mate for the democratic ticket.

Amy Klobuchar - could help Biden with support in the MidWest.

Kamala Harris - aggressive in her debates however she does have a bad record with criminal convictions while she was a prosecutor which a lot of progressives disagree with.

Elizabeth Warren - could help Biden with progressive support.

Stacey Abrams - lack of executive experience however Abrams managed to get 40 % more african american voters to the polls for the Georgia election.

Other - Any surprises ? Hillary Clinton ?

The only one I do not know of is Stacey Abrams.  But none of those will be Biden's pick for VP

Kamala Harris did not like Biden's crime bill or the bussing,  but yet endorsed him

Amy Klobuchar went up against him and yet still endorsed him

Elizabeth Warren went after Biden on many occasions,  STILL endorsed him.

Seems like some integrity is missing.

Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown then lectured on white supremacy in front of the looting buildings and said she would not put officers in harms way to protect property.

Now I know why Americans need guns to protect themselves. Its scary to think that someone that stupid is in charge of an entire city's law enforcement.

She went on to say "That was nothing but systemic racism" when referring to the GF murder.

Someone with the skill to edit video, like with photoshop, should take some of the video of white people who were murdered by cops and put black faces on them. Just so that when that stupid cow watches them, and jumps to the conclusion that they're racist, she can find out just how wrong she is.

He could possibly even win with Tulsi Gabbard but for some reason the DNC does not approve of her.

She's a Hindu, so her religion isn't cool within the Dem party. Plus, she's not a "progressive" stooge. Her and Manchin are the only Dems with an actual human side afaik.

I thought that she really upstaged them on this night, just by not being drab. After that there was always someone else wearing a bright colour.

If Klobuchar has a chance, it's because she's so blahhhhh.

Klobuchar has a very small chance now because of her high profile role in not prosecuting police officers:

The death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody this week has renewed concerns about Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s time as a Hennepin County prosecutor as she is being vetted as a potential running mate for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

...Klobuchar did not criminally charge other police involved in the more than two dozen officer-involved fatalities that occurred during her time as prosecutor. She left those decisions to a grand jury, a practice that was common at the time.

The safest pick for VP-candidate is somebody who is absolutely boring. Like Mike Pence or the guy who ran with Hillary. Somebody you don't normally even notice.

Absolutely. Their smart move would be selecting someone moderate to appeal to that mass of rural and blue collar whites who have felt ignored and disrespected by the Democratic party, the people who put Trump into office last time.

Unfortunately, what I suspect they're going to get is a hard left black woman. The Republicans will then run the election as if she were the president, pointing out how old Biden is and his stumbles as if he were practically on his death bed, and warning white Americans about what life under this radical black president would mean for them. And it's quite likely to work, too.

Bottoms has performed well of late, Harris has done the time and is well vetted, and Demings must be in the mix as well as several Hispanic candidates. While Warren is an excellent speaker, she's a white geezer like Biden

There have been many tickets that contained keen rivals, e.g. Kennedy/Johnson, Reagan/Bush, Clinton/Gore. In this age of Trumpian celebrity-worship, I presume Oprah has already turned the job down? Biden needs more pep from his VP choice than most candidates.

These choices are often surprises; the criteria the team make public are often quite different from the ones they are really using. Three possible candidates with 'buts' to all three: Harris is a solid option and would not be caught in any Palinesque moments by reporters but she is rather shrill and may get greater negative attention for her prosecutorial work; Bottoms is easier on the ear and eye but it would be a big jump up for her; Susan Rice is smooth and an experienced administrator but AFAIK is not experienced in electoral politics.

Keisha Lance Bottoms is going to be Biden's running-mate. Hands-down, no doubt about it.

She's well-spoken, attractive, passionate, and she belches out BLM platitudes like a robot.

She was talking about black-on-black crime when she said "We're doing more harm to our own people than any officer on the force" lol.

Yeah bitch, surprisingly, police officers aren't killing 20 black people every weekend. Duh.

Susan Rice

She's part of the beginning of the witch hunt. The last thing the Dems want to do is draw more attention to the betrayals of the Obama administration. They're busy distracting America with the next thing, and the next thing, and the next thing. They don't want to put focus squarely back there.

There are few good choices here. Biden should never have made the promise. Warren has extensive experience in Washington and knows how to get things done, but she's far too divisive and would be a boon to the Republicans. Harris and Duckworth both have 3 years total experience in Washington. Lance-Bottoms has none whatsoever. Rice has no political experience. Klobuchar would seem to be the best pick. She has the experience in Washington, has done well in getting legislation passed and in working in a non-partisan manner but reports have surfaced that she was a horrible person to work for, abused her staff, and had the highest staff turnover of any senator. Plus she's the wrong colour for the Democratic Left.

All of this could be somewhat overlooked if Biden wasn't so old. Given his age and some evidence of intellectual impairment his VP choice is going to get WAY more scrutiny than normal because whoever he nominates will likely be running for president in four years.

BTW, I do not think Obama was a very good president. He COULD have been, though, if he'd had more time in Washington to learn the ropes, to understand how things got done. Ducksworth and Harris might be similar stories.
