Or not have a car crash or heart attack while ICUs are full.

Car crashes or heart attacks don’t mean you have to be in an ICU.  But yeah, I’d try and avoid those.  Heart attacks usually occur after years of unhealthy living.  So they’re responsible for their situation, much like a covid patient that hasn’t gotten vaccinated.  I’m glad you finally see how much of a problem heart disease is though.  Three times more Canadians die of that each year than of covid.

Maybe we don't need hospitals at all if it's people's own fault they get sick. And maybe covid mitigation works so well we don't need it either.

When your brain runs on emotion, the rationality is always questionable.

You’re not making any sense.  We don’t have health care based on people’s lifestyle choices.  That’s the whole point.  But you Branch Covidians are steering things that way, for some bizarre reason.

We don't, but we currently have laws for vaccination for kids.

https://www.ontario.ca/page/vaccines-children-school

The law

Unless they have a valid exemption, children who attend primary or secondary school must be immunized against:

diphtheria

tetanus

polio

measles

mumps

rubella

meningitis (meningococcal disease)

whooping cough (pertussis)

chickenpox (varicella) – required for children born in 2010 or later.

I can see why the covid vaccine isn't a law but is being strongly urged by so many people.

Hopefully in due time covid will die out and we won't have to add it to the list.

I also urge people to get vaccinated.  But I also acknowledge their fundamental right to decide not to.

There are only 2 provinces that have legislation for vaccinations for children - Ontario and NB.

"Legislation" is not a LAW.

Health Canada states that Immunization is NOT mandatory in Canada:

"Unlike some countries, immunization is not mandatory in Canada; It cannot be made mandatory because of the Canadian  Constitution. ......legislation and regulations must not be interpreted to imply compulsory immunization."

I just quoted you directly from the Health Canada website.

You are wrong.

Check it out in the Canada Communicable Disease Report, click "Continue to Publication and the PDF will load.  It's on page 3 of the document.

**sigh**

Yes. In Ontario. We already covered that. ?

I'm guessing you're from Ontario?  Hate to break it to you, bud, but there's more to Canada than Ontario.

If you have a problem with what Health Canada says about immunizations NOT being mandatory in Canada because of the Canadian Constitution, maybe take it up with them.

Bingo.  As long as the anti vaxxers stay out of Ontario I'm cool with that.

There is no Bingo.

You can't tell everyone that vaccines are law for schoolchildren in Canada.  They are not.

I raised my children in SK.  They were vaccinated with all the childhood vaxxes, but no one even asked about their vax status when they started school.

Yes, and all of those vaccines have gone through several years of testing. They’re not brand new being administered under emergency authorization and skipping the normal testing protocols.

The reason why warp speed was possible and successful is because the labs were able to share data across the globe.  They didn't have that technology available back in my day.

There were several attempts to hack the system and steal the data too.

It’s not just about having to show your papers to go into a restaurant or eat in a food court. It’s the economy, stupid. Plus the social harms brought about by widespread shutdowns. Students learning from home, but not learning. Families separated by artificial borders, not allowed to say goodbye to a loved one in the hospital, or grieve at their funeral. It’s inhumane.

The full impact of this is not realized, and the pandemic is not over yet. That should be obvious to everyone by now.
