The Coronavirus

You are obsessed with the numbers game but it's already been demonstrated how politicized the virus numbers game is. Technically speaking there are many factors in these numbers as well, so that it is all-too-easy to end up making wrong comparisons. It's a huge problem for statistics pertaining to social sciences.

The US has the top medical experts, top labs, top medical universities, and all these people are working cooperatively to try and control the virus. Their level of competency in virology and emergency management certainly exceeds ours. If I were to assume anything about numbers it is that Canada has probably way undercounted the number of infections compared to US.

Politicizing information about the virus is a foul action indeed.

Yes they still regularly see more than 1,000 people die from the virus daily.

Perhaps if the person in charge would listen to those people and not hock unproven cures and pretend the virus will magically disappear they'd be in better shape.

I guess your not listening to my counterargument. Let's try this way,

1) Actual management of health and safety is at the grass-roots level. It's the physicians, medical health experts who advise for the policy of a region, same or similar to how it is managed in Canada. Mr. Trudeau didn't do much directly. They provide overll broad guidelines and money, and equipment. The are a resource for the grass-roots health administrations who deal with the minutia, and have the expertise.

We found out this week that the Trump Administration has been influencing CDC guidelines.

Quote

Top Trump administration officials involved with the White House coronavirus task force ordered the Centers for Disease Control and Protection to stop promoting coronavirus testing for most people who have been exposed to the virus but aren't showing symptoms, according to two people with knowledge of the process.

Federal testing czar Brett Giroir denied those allegations Wednesday, telling reporters that the CDC ultimately decided to narrow the recommendations for who should be tested.

So perhaps the Feds are influencing how "grass-roots" health administrators are reacting to the disease.

I wouldn't presume it purely political, if the objective is to have a level playing field with how others count it. That could be the very issue at heart here with US data, but again I wouldn't presume.

My position stands, In summation, anyone who politicize information about the virus is a jackass.  Anyone...

The Trudeau government has completed a deal to buy millions of COVID-19 vaccine doses from U.S. pharma companies that are developing and manufacturing under Trump's "Operation Warp Speed".   Canada does not have the capability to manufacture enough vaccine doses domestically.

...but Trump and 'murica still suck !

Canada recently received another slap in the face from China when they abruptly pulled out of a similar deall to provide us with vaccine.

The Canadian government needs to figure out who our friends are.

Please Sir, can we have some more vaccine?

We do have the capability.

We don't just put all our eggs in one basket.

All of Canada's COVID vaccine contracts are part of Trump's Operation Warp Speed.

Data shows the divorce rate is skyrocketing, as the insane over-the-top shutdown continues to tear our society apart.

Quote

The number of people looking for divorces was 34 percent higher from March through June compared to 2019, according to new dataThe combination of stress, unemployment, financial strain, death of loved ones, illness, homeschooling children, mental illnesses, and more has put a significant strain on relationships.

The data also showed that 31 percent of couples admitted the lockdown has caused irreparable damage to their relationships.

...

This substantiates my earlier claims that the totalitarian lockdown has caused more harm than good, and in ways that we (the direct thinking simpleton reactive ones among us, who are many) have no idea of the harm it causes, not only in health care as demonstrated, but in other aspects of societal life. Really, in ALL aspects.

Hence, totalitarianism.

New report shows that the covid-19 medical services shutdown has created a backlog in surgeries of 84 weeks. You do the math.

Study says Ontario surgery backlog due to COVID-19 could take 84 weeks to clear

How many do you people suppose shall die, or even have a more miserable life as a consequence? Who says we should take wealth and years of life from the young, and give it to the old? Who is the arbiter of life and death among you.

The article cites only elective surgeries.

Week after week the US caseload and daily death count has remained stubbornly high and consistent.

And as predicted Death per capital is now higher than Sweden and Italy.

Before the US election it'll, most likely, be higher than the UK.

That leaves Spain and Belgium as the only developed nations that have higher, per capita COVID-19 deaths than the US.

Didn't read my entire post.

The US is catching up to the UK and will likely past them before the election.

Yes I did...you posts the present tense "leaves" instead of the future tense "will leave".

Keep hoping for more U.S. deaths so you can post again.

That appears the be the goal of the current administration as they would prefer people to die than for "panic" to set in.

However panicking about Black Bloc Protestors is perfectly fine.
