That is also why they have broken apart and do not have enough in one of the divided conservative bits to win an election. So, they are destined to lose, again and again (federally).

No group of any consequence has ever been without a leader to follow. There has never been an Anarchy party and they has never been an Anarchy government.

Rumor has it that the people in the conservative party are starting to finally get their shit together, and are starting to act as one. It will be the only way that the conservative party will win in the next federal election. I do believe that Pierre Poilievre will become the leader of the conservative party, and there will be some big changes coming to the conservative party. There will be less liberal socialism in Canada, and more conservatism for Canadians. About bloody time. ?

Not very evident with the leadership race going on now. Plus the increase in PPC members and the PPC attacks on conservatives.

I think conservatives have a way to go to unite. Not to say they may not win because so many are really fed up with Trudeau.

Wonder who the Conservative government would make deals with if they have a minority?? Would Jagmeet still be in the catbird seat?? Or bow to the Bloc?

I think that the PPC, and the conservative party under the leadership of Pierre P., should work out some kind of an arrangement where they can both profit together by joining up together. If PP is a real and true conservative then he should have no problem coming up with a solution as to how the both of them could take down the Marxist government from the dictator in Ottawa. Hopefully, the lefty liberals and the socialists NDP can be destroyed in the next election, and that some of their supporters finally come to their senses and vote for the CP or the PPC. Only time will tell, I guess. ?

Maybe but can PP bring Maxime Bernier back into the main conservative fold? I don't think he is willing to lose being a leader on his own and being second fiddle in the conservative party again.

Yeah well, unfortunately the liberals have 3+ years to win back the hearts of all those loyal GTA folks and promise enough to others.

Even you staunch Trudeau haters will have mellowed out by then :)

This is why Maxine left the conservative party. The CP became to liberal. Convince Maxine that the CP will become a real and true CP than I think that Maxine might have to think about it as he probably knows already that he will never become the PM of Canada. That would take a bloody miracle for that to happen. He would be lucky if he even became the opposition party somewhere down the road.

Another three more years of this Marxist dictator and there will be no Canada left as we once knew it. We will probably look more like a communist country rather than a freedom looking country. Covid was just the beginning of the WEF globalist takeover of the world, and that Marxist dictator in Ottawa is one of their boys. Oh boy.

I believe that those staunch Trudeau haters will all be in jail by the time of his rein of communist terror for Canada is done, and when he finally takes hold of Canada for his own pleasure and enjoyment to do with as he pleases just like his old daddy Castro did in Cuba. By then, we will all be phukd. ?

I was quite surprised today to see an announcement from the Ontario Ministry of Health that they will provide free counselling for persons suffering from anxiety and depression.

Right now one of 4 Canadians is off work at some time due to anxiety or depression and it costs billions in lost income each year due to work absences.

This government has been accused of being harsh, insensitive, etc., but has just done something very progressive and enlightened. Right now if you have depression or anxiety you have to wait months to see a psychiatrist under OHIP. The psychiatrist is usually so over-booked the best he or she does is give you a brief 15 minute interview and sends you back to your your gp who may have to give you anti anxiety or anti depressant medication. The medication itself may or may not help but without adjunct (associated, attached) cognitive therapy the medication in itself may not be as effective as monitoring the medication and also guiding individuals how to identify triggers for negative behaviour.

Now for many this will not be noticed but its huge (excuse the Trump word) in terms of implications. It will intercept numerous domestic violence scenarios and prevent them. It will intercept persons who might otherwise act out with violence or driving drunk or skipping work or committing suicide or  crimes. In the short term it costs for the counsellors to be funded but in the long term it deals with an actually wide spread issue that costs medical care in the long run more than it will prevent with the short term immediate funding expense.

Its something the supposed left wing NDP and Liberals never considered. Very far sighted.

Next time someone blasts this government as uncaring it may want to think twice. This government has taken a lot of heat over issues dealing with disability issues particularly the cost of autism programs mainstreaming disabilities in schools that it has not created but is trying to fairly deal with.

I applaud this constructive announcement.

Like to see that 8n the states. The number of people who have depression and anxiety issue just seem to go up.

I have had a few lady friends that suffered from it and guy friends it can be life changing
