Nothing. Who said it was? Certainly nothing I wrote in the post that triggered your attempt at revising history.

No, you triggered yourself about a Trump dictaorship, when the guy hasn't even won a second term yet.

Let your scared imagination run wild....again.

Exactly.  I can understand somebody not liking Trump.  But what I don’t understand is the constant hyperbole.  They make themselves sound literally insane.

No, I asked about future presidents.  You ran away in the opposite direction. All the way back to the 40's.

You said it best man, try harder.

America is very lucky....we make our own luck.

DOJ drops case against former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe

I don't know... Maybe need a new thread to keep track of all the sleepstate criminals that Trump can't seem to pin a parking ticket to.

Winning... Not.

Trump is better at playing pin the tail on the elephant. He couldn't pin a donkey with his eyes wide open if his life depended on it.

Federal judges' association calls emergency meeting after DOJ intervenes in case of Trump ally Roger Stone

now that Trump is attempting full and unfettered rule above the law will he be able to simply remove judges? disband the Federal Judges Association?

Trump announces a blitz of pardons and commutations

first move, of course, is to further denigrate existing institutions into dust while at the same time acting like a "crooked cop" (Trumps own words) hunter. then pardon those who are keeping their mouths shut but are suffering in jail because of it.

That's fine...Canada should do whatever it needs/wants to do, but that doesn't mean Trump or any U.S. president is going to always agree.

I find it odd that Trump "broke the law" and is held in such low regard in Canada, but there is still an expectation and demand that he has Canada's back....because "allies".

Allies? Canada is a national security risk to the USA. That's why the American President put tariffs on Canadian products when there was a free-trade agreement in place between the two countries. That's not 'allies'.

What's your guess- will Trump toss Canada under the Chinese bus when Meng Wanzhou is in American hands?

Trump put tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum to spark U.S. production and stop transshipments, IP theft, dumping, and 300% dairy tariffs by Canada.   Security risk is the legal mechanism for him to do so.   Trump would have hammered auto exports from Ontario but GM & Ford begged him not to do it.

I sure hope so...nothing special about Canada compared to other trading partners.  Canada has expanded "allies" as a very broad excuse for all manner of trade and policy disputes with the United States.

Trumps tarrifs are obvious violations of the NAFTA. And his crying about big, bad Canada taking America's lunch money was bogus. NAFTA was negotiated by Bush Sr. who wanted to bring Mexico into the Canada-USA Free Trade Agreement signed by Reagan and Mulroney. When Trump told you that the USA had a trade deficit with Canada he was lying. A balance of trade is figured by totalling the value of all goods and services that pass between countries. He took the value of services out of the equation.

Canada arrested Meng Wanzhou at the request of the USA and China retaliated by arresting two Canadians and applying trade sanctions. Canada requested the US hold off on a trade deal until this is resolved but Trump went ahead. He's already speculated that Meng might be a negotiating piece in his dealings with China.

Canada and the US can hardly be said to be allies anymore. Trump has changed that status, along with making the word of an American President worthless. What's the value of any agreement with America when the next President can just tear it up and you have to start over from scratch?

Right...but we don't care about that.   Canada (and Mexico) want access to the much larger U.S. market and capital investment without providing equivalent opportunities to the U.S.    Canada has protectionist policies for banking, telcom, CanCon, dairy, etc.    Canada and Mexico trade far less with each other by an order of magnitude under NAFTA.   How many auto assembly plants has a Canadian make built in the USA ?

Maybe, but Meng is a much bigger deal in Canada than in the USA.   China is the big arena for U.S. trade brinksmanship, not Canada, which already exports 75% to the USA anyway.   Cut Meng loose if you think it will help the imprisoned Michaels....but Trudeau doesn't have the balls.

It's worth a lot when Canada still wants a bitumen pipeline to Nebraska then the Texas coast, military support when Canada's defence is in tatters, juicy contracts in the USA, cross border travel, economic integration, yada, yada, yada.   "Allies" does not mean that any U.S. president is going to cut Canada breaks on trade that are not in U.S. interests.   See "softwood lumber" as an example...long before Trump.

Ooooo. If the leftist liberal rag called "godzilla" says it happened, then it has to be true and it did happen.  Of course, anyone with an ounce of brains knows that nothing was said to be an impeachable offence in Trump's phone call. But keep telling that lie over and over again and eventually there will be plenty dummies out there who will start to believe the lie.

It is the democrats who have now made future Presidents to now have to watch what they say in their phone calls with other world leaders. One wrong word said by a Republican or a democrat and they could possibly have to face an impeachment trial. Liberals and democrats have to be the most stunned and stupid people in the world. Just my opinion of course. ;)
