Zimbabwe, and even South Africa, have become importing nations. This is what happens when a country kicks out the Europeans who built up that country. Tribal wars are back, mac. ;)

Canada is a purely importing nation as well, save for some domestic agriculture and farming.

The resolution:

called for a “just, lasting and comprehensive peace settlement” to the Israel-Palestine conflict. The resolution explicitly referred to contested lands between the two countries as “Occupied Palestinian Territories.”

Ever seen this?

Canadian policy on key issues in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Of course JT's decision is motivated by something outside of being altruistic, but we really should know what our actual policy is on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Because their decision is according to our actual policy.

You can point to what ever policy you want, It does not mean that the moral high ground is following north Korea , and the terrorist state of Palestine, the majority of the west is following a different path..

The USA is the greatest moral compass; the war mongers of the past 40 years.   Who else started a war other than them, and if ever there was a conflict did they not try to immediately put their finger into it?

Our decision may in fact be the correct one this time.  Zimbabwe, eh, why not, what's wrong with them?

So North Korea, and a bunch of terrorist have the moral high ground here is that what your saying....and I agree that the US is not always the white knight in all cases, but as long as they are being forced to be worlds policemen thats were my moral compass is parked, unless Canada intends to stand up and make a difference …. how did that work out in Rwanda when Gen Dallaire begged for action.....oh wait our government sat by and watched hundreds of thousands get cut down with machetes .. where was our moral compass that day, we were sitting on it thats where...Canadians like to point fingers, they need to have someone to blame...and yet when we peel back a few layers we are just as bad as everyone else...

Well what you’re criticizing is the Rest of the World’s attempt at a world order.  It’s interesting to hear the voices of very different perspectives in the UN — Muslim world, Africa, China, Russia. Often the UN has the right resolutions on issues, and it’s always a values based, rule of law approach.  That’s the UN and the order Dallaire was trying to run a UN military mission in.  The problem was that the UN wouldn’t empower the UN forces to protect people with force.  A military without the power of life and death is toothless.  The UN in general is somewhat toothless, and by design.  The US wants to retain military supremacy in order to backstop its politico-cultural values.   Fine with me.  As long as US continues to provide compelling media, the money pours in and the US remains cool and able to fund its military.  It’s all Information Age now.  Right now st least, China just isn’t that cool.  It’s power of persuasion.  As John Updike said, advertising is the highest art form in the Twentieth Century.  It hasn’t changed this century.   Knowledge is power.  Free exchange of ideas...

I'm talking about Israel and disinclined to change the topic because you would find another one more comfortable.

No, you're painting an inaccurate picture of Israel, and you don't want to compare that situation to the situation in Pakistan because that will expose your blatant hypocrisy, which will in turn prove that you're just a bigot.

If you're truly a humanitarian then it just takes one second for you to say what an evil, bigoted state Pakistan is and then you can get back to your criticism of Israel with at least a bit of credibility.

No, what I am criticizing is the attempt of 6 or more countries to control what goes on around the world. And I do agree it is interesting to listen to the different perspectives, but what we have here is anyone of those original 6 can shut down those conversations with the power of veto...Often what resolutions that do get made  are without meat, or the UN does not have the power to enforce, monitor or regulate all of it's paper resolutions in a timely manner.. As for Rwanda and a great percentage of ever other UN peace keeping mission were failures, in every mandate they had be given, They failed to protect anyone's lives , failed to keep warring parties separated, failed on the political front in bring peace and stability, But I get it one portion should not drag down the entire organization, but while on UN peace keeping missions I have had a chance to work with other UN organizations such as Unicief, UN humanitarian organizations handing out food, and relief supplies, in Yugo they were doing that from Mercedes SUV's , worth about 300 k, staying in posh hotels , selling those humanitarian supplies to the highest bidder, often with a military escort for protection...Rwanda was the same Somalia was the worst , UN officials would coordinate deliveries of relief supplies with the gangs for profit...those people that needed those supplies went without....So I'm not a big fan of the UN because it is corrupt to the core...

I know you're a closet Nazi. No need to remind me.

How am I a closet Nazi? Making accusations without backing them up makes you out to look like a fool. Come on spit it out. The floor is yours. I hope that I will not have to remind you again. ;)

No need to think of it as an accusation.

The Canadian government is the problem. But it would appear as though our lefty liberal/socialist governments keep on trying to keep Canada from becoming a great exporting nation, and appears to prefer to want to go the same route as countries like Zimbabwe and South Africa. Import just about everything. Canada will one day soon become a country like Zimbabwe if they are allowed to control and ruin the Canadian economy. Canada can never become great as long as the people keep putting in political leaders like those mentioned above who could careless about Canada or Canadians. Our biggest import in Canada today would appear to be massive 3rd world immigrants and bringing or allowing in tens of thousands of legal and criminal illegal so called refugees every year. That kind of import will destroy Canada one day and should turn Canada into another import Zimbabwe. Canadians always seem to want to elect losers instead of winners. Aw well. What more can be said about this pathetic country.

You are making an accusation. But what proof do you have to accuse me of being a closet Nazi? Stop trying to avoid the question. Show me something or take your accusation back. :P

Typical of people like you. When I asked you to explain your accusations to me, like when you called me a closet Nazi, you come back with another question. You appear to be a closet accuser. So, again? Why did you call me a closet Nazi? You make it appear as though you have proof of this? So? ;)

I am not Jewish, but you obviously are.  So you "describe the creation of Israel" to me?

Merry Christmas. :)

Now why would you want to go and insult me by calling me "fritz"? This even enforces my belief all the more that the so called chosen ones are a real and true bunch of arrogant and rude and ignorant people. But keep digging your own hole. We gentiles will survive your silly ass insults, and name calling. Our day will come. And as I already said, you cannot offer up any proof on anything that you have called me that I am supposed to be. You are just all mouth. You have nothing on me so your only recourse that you have left is to come back at me and call me names like "fritz". You are such a sad pathetic creature. I hope that Santa comes down the chimney and goes looking for you and goes and kicks you in the ass. Ho-ho-ho.

PS: Only politicians and the controlled media supports Israel.

Some would correctly argue that Israel is the terrorist State based on their actions.
