LGBT . . . Q

Transgender means inbetween. Some don't want to be a boy or girl... Some want to be exactly in the middle, forcing you to guess.

No need to guess anymore, President Trump has banned them from serving in the US military and the Supreme Court has ruled it to be constitutional

There have always been barriers to serving in the US military.

If they can pass the physical challenges... Than why shouldn't the be in the military? Some of them are more capaple than the average soldier. Just because they have boobs, doesn't disqualify them.

There's no ban on gays serving in the US military, only Trannies.

There should be. We should get rid of the LGB in the military and not just the LGBT. Guys don't want to be hit on by other guys, who don't have a girl around.

I don't have a problem with gays,  Transgenders are not gay, they are mentally ill.

Homosexuality is a manufactured illness, just like Transgenderism. One is more severe than the other, but they are both bad for the military.

Gay only matters on your own time, what you do on your own time is not my concern, transgendered is a problem on army time, that's why they are banned.

They're only banned in the US, and not in Canada :(

China's navy is already bigger than the US. They've built 83 ships in just the last eight years and are continuing construction.

By way of comparison the British navy is made up of 75 ships. Canada has about 15.

Totally, and the thing about military hardware is that new stuff always trumps old stuff, so it's not a 1 v 1 comparison.

EG, the Soviets had half of the tanks on the planet back when I was in the military, but they weren't in the habit of decommissioning old tanks from the WWII era. The old tanks are still useful to some extent, but ten 1944 tanks can't take on a single Abrams M1A1.

China also spends a ton of money on cyber warfare. I heard it said that they spend almost as much on that as their conventional warfare. I heard it said that their guys outnumber the NSA guys by 40-1, and they have them running in circles.

The Abrams wasn't the primary MBT against the Soviets, the M60 was the primary, the bulk of the Soviet armor was T-62 and T-72

The Soviets were also going to use tactical nuclear weapons to clear the way in the Fulda Gap and North German plain.

The Soviet plan was sound, to reach the Rhine in two weeks, it's not a given that we could have stopped them, particularly if a surprise attack.

Look at the numbers.  We are 79 out of 137 in land strength.

79 out of 137 countries...man that is impressive when competing against what countries again Sebia, Crotia, Congo then yes I say that was good, but we are a G-7 nation and should atleast own equipment made in the last 10 to 15 years...most of our logistic trucks sit rotting in fields because they are no longer road worthy , they have been like that for 10 plus years, we are just receiving replacements for one type of veh, the MLVW....while the other 3 types are still waiting for funding to buy new ones...the ones that are running are short on parts, and are in rough shape...it was not so long ago that in the media a RCR BN reported it could not afford to exercise with it's LAV fleet because of costs to run them, and restrictive budgets...You see your numbers don't add up...sorry

LAND STRENGTH
Combat Tank value includes Main Battle Tanks (MBTs), light tanks, and tank destroyers (no distinction is made between tracked and wheeled types). Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFV) value includes APCs, IFVs, MRAPs, and Armored Cars. Rocket Projectors only include self-propelled forms. Also consider Armor and Artillery throughout the military history of Canada (external link).

Based on what we are being judged on lets take a look, we have 20 leoII6M, who were all rode hard and put away wet in Afghanistan, some rebuilt from being blown up by IED's ....then we have 60 LeoIIA4, (1990 tech , bought used , built between 85to 92) just for a point of reference, German owns and operates LeoIIA7 plus which is only 5 generations ahead of ours....Our IFV's most common is the LAV 6.0 which are not really new, they cut the LAV III in HALF then welding on a LAV 6.0 bottom onto the LAV III top because we could not afford the same LAV's we sold Saudi Arabia....and they are built in Ontario...although we are buying some 350 new built to make up for shortfalls in other variants we had from the original buy of lav III...we did purchase what they call TPAV, what a POS veh that is, it only carries 4 or 5 troops depends how you stuff them in, is prone to tipping and makes crew sea sick because it rocks like a boat, only armed with a MG, what a waste of tax payers money ( chosen by our political leaders at the time) not by DND ......next IFV we operate is the M113 or what we call the TLAV made in 1950'2 and has been upgraded ever since....Our MRAPS vehs left over from Afghanistan are in war stocks...

That is my point.  They need to seriously start fixing that because if they send our troops overseas with nothing but rifles I am going to make a new lake in Ontario with my tears.
