CITIZEN_2015
A former Iranian beauty queen Bahareh Bahari is stranded in Philippines airport and is in danger of extradition to Iran where she left in 2014. At the 2018 Miss Intercontinental beauty contest in Manila she made headlines by a courageous act of waving a poster of Reza Pahlavi who is very popular among Iran nation, the Iranian former crown prince and prominent critic of the current leadership. Bahari has been detained since 17 October after Iran regime put out a red notice about her to Interpol. The notice reportedly relates to an alleged offence committed in Iran, but Bahari – who is also a model and actress – said Tehran was seeking to extradite her to punish her for her politics She says that the Iranian authorities had made a “fake case” to try to silence her for being a vocal opponent of the regime. She has also spoken about Iranian women’s rights. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/nov/06/bahareh-zare-bahari-former-beauty-queen-pursued-by-iran-fears-for-her-health

CITIZEN_2015
Join the free Bahari campaign. #FreeBahareh “The Philippines has proven it is not a safe place for Bahareh, so Minister Freeland and Minister Hussen need to act quickly and grant asylum to ensure Bahareh is safe and away from Iran’s tyrannical reach.” She is a dentist a women's right defender and a beauty queen and will be a tax payer and positively comtributing citizen for decades to come.
