taxme
With all the talk about what to do about daylight saving time, and whether to change it or not, and go with one or the other all year round, here is my take on it. Why not just change it by half an hour and leave it at that. That way no one really gets to lose that much sleep all that much. An half an hour either way should not hurt or effect anyone's sleep patterns. We all should win that way. What say you? Any opinions on this daylight saving time stuff, and what should be done about it? Over too you.
Cannucklehead
Pointless nowadays. In ww1 era it may have been a good idea, but in the present it's just annoying.
Moonlight Graham
Not everyone is awake at 7am. Everyone is awake at 6pm. More sun in the evening is better, scrap it.
cannuck
Seeing as how I live in SK, where such stupidity is completely avoided (although we have enough of OTHER stupidity to make up for it) I can find no reason whatsoever why anyone would be so foolish as to "change time" for some long forgotten and totally irrelevant reason. Time zones? I can live with that, but notice that China does very well with only ONE time zone (and of course no DST) and a lot less confusion about who is at their desk when. I have friends and business interests in the UK, and it is something I slap them with regularly. How is it that the keeper of "Greenwich Mean Time" is silly enough to use DST?????? It literally makes no difference to me if the sun is up when I'm stumbling around grumpy anyways. Plus, I actually prefer to not have daylight on my windows if I get a chance to sleep in on Sunday. There are lots of things to do with an extra hour of sunshine in the evening.
