The Squad Trip To Israel Cancelled

Recommended Posts

These two  had no plans to visit Israel but were going toPalestinian cities like Hebron, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and East, and apparently the itinerary of the congressional groups there last week wasn't good enough for Tlaib and Omar.      e.g. That group met with Israeli leaders and Palestinians in the West Bank so would have been an excellent opportunity for two Muslim congresswomen to be representatives of goodwill and learning etc.  They refused any government briefings and Netanyahu said their itinerary mentioned only “Palestine,” a country that doesn’t exist and a word often used to deny Israel’s right to exist.

Unfortunately, the itinerary of the Tlaib/Omar Delegation leaves no room for that opportunity. In contrast to the nearly 70 freshmen members of Congress who just recently completed, or who are currently pursuing, a balanced visit to Israel that includes meetings with both Israeli and Palestinian leaders, the Tlaib/Omar Delegation has limited its exposure to tours organized by the most strident of BDS activists,” Friedman said.

“This trip, pure and simple, is nothing more than an effort to fuel the BDS engine that Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar so vigorously support.”

To contend that if a Jew votes for a Democrat, they're either stupid or Disloyal to Jews is extraordinarily anti-semitic.

These two congresswomen may be opposed to Israel but lumping their opinions to that of the Democrats official position would be as dumb to assume that the opinions of Steve King of Iowa are representative of the whole GOP.

Not sure why some people are under the impression that she is doing that.

This is really a show, but she don't show up for a photo ops. Don't know, maybe she thinks this is not her war

Who is running the Democrat Party? Nobody knows...but the most vocal Democrats are the so-called Squad with their antisemetic diatribes.

No they're the ones that are being fear-mongered by Trump.

Making definitive statements about the party before their candidate is selected, next year, is just white noise.

I do believe the Democrats need to focus their narrative on the type of politics that beat Trump, where they need to beat Trump. Appealing to Costal Liberals may win more votes, but in the rigged EC system, it doesn't win the election.

What the fxxk happened to the EC system? Obama just won EC system three years ago, and he won 2 in a rows.

Obama appealed to voters in the Rust-belt states, but the EC is still rigged.

If a candidate wins an entire state with dozens of EC votes by only winning the state by a handful of votes, something is wrong.

Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin are all hotly contested states. But in the end they get the same share of votes that California or Texas gets, 100%.

For the system to be fairER, each EC vote should be representative of the district it represents and not the state it's in.

You outlined it very well. That is the exact same sh?t that drives people away from the Dems. I guess all the "new" dems skip through their history class

Ilhan Omar has 9% approval rating in key swing states, and AOC has 22% approval rating in key swing states. They couldn't do a better job sabotaging the Democrats if they were Republican moles.

That's alarmingly high, but I think most of that is probably just people who love them because they hate Trump.

1.5% is realistic for Omar, 8% for AOC.

They're called swing states because they are closely contested, anywhere the Democrats are not competitive at all, those are not swing states by default.

It's not anti-Semitic at all for Trump to say that. It's just true.

Tlaib and Omar are not just "opposed to Israel". They make anti-Semitic comments and blow anti-Semitic dog whistles all the time. They're openly chumming around with terrorist supporters. The Dems are picking the wrong side in this battle if they're not anti-Semitic.

So because Steve King is a racist and believes Humanity wouldn't exist without Rape and Incest, and isn't being removed from the party, that means that's what the GOP believes in.

Treating any ethnic group like they're all one thing is racist AF.

Trump isn't fear-mongering anyone because he's telling the truth. Those two are what they are, he's just calling them on their actual anti-Semitism when they make anti-Semitic comments.

Don't forget that the whole Dem party and the MSM all accused Trump of anti-Semitism the minute after the synagogue shooting, even though they knew it was false. They just wanted to capitalize on a tragedy, as usual. That was fear-mongering.

I don't know exactly what that guy said.

I'd believe him if he said that we all are the product of rape somewhere in our ancestry, and so if we got rid of all humans born of rape at some point in their lineage then none of us would be here.

Did the GOP say that he should be allowed to go to a foreign country specifically to spread that world view?

IIRC, it was actually the radical leftist feminists Andrea Dworkin and Catherine MacKinnon who asserted that "all sex is rape" and not actually Steve King who came up with that.

In the case of Andrea Dworkin, I can see why she became a radical feminist.  She was mentally ill, and knew how to game the system.  She constantly lied about Men abusing her, and was celibate for much of her life, which takes years off one's life. She also blamed her failing health on imaginary sexual abuse she had suffered over the years.

It was actually Lady Gaga that said “and when it comes to love if it’s not rough it isn’t fun”.

Can one get to the occupied territories without going through Israel first?

Doesn’t matter,  their trip was titled “US Congressional Delegation to Palestine” —Their itinerary showed that the sole purpose of their trip was to harm Israel and increase incitement against it.   They were going major Palestinian population centers in Jerusalem and the West Bank , and to a string of meetings with Palestinian non-profits and activists, as well as international human rights groups.    https://www.timesofisrael.com/what-omar-tlaib-were-going-to-do-on-their-thwarted-trip-to-jerusalem-west-bank/

It was never a 'fact finding trip' for those two twisted sisters.

Of course, it's okay for more than a dozen Muslim/Arab countries to permanently ban  Israeli passport holders from entering Arab countries.  Many won’t let in anyone whose passport contains –  oh the horror – an Israeli visa.
