Zeitgeist
Trudeau doesn’t appear to be supporting Ontario infrastructure projects because the provincial government is Conservative. The Liberal Feds have announced funding of major Montreal and Vancouver projects but nothing for Toronto. Liberals claim it’s because the Ontario Conservatives haven’t put forward an adequate proposal, yet the Ontario proposal resembles those provided by other provinces that have Liberal governments. Meanwhile, Bombardier will be cutting jobs in Thunder Bay if new Toronto transit programs aren’t funded. The Federal Liberals are playing politics with Ontario jobs and transit. GostHacked
I wonder if we could have gotten Bombardier to make the trains for us. What stupidity in government we have. Michael Hardner
Both sides are pointing fingers. Ottawa says Ontario didn't request the funding via formal proposal yet, and Ontario says Ottawa is stalling. bush_cheney2004
No worries...they are going to get PM Trudeau to beg President Trump for an exemption from the "Buy America Act", which has only existed since 1982 ! Quote "The problem that was raised by Bombardier today was about the Buy America Act," said Legault. "They had an important contract in the U.S. that is ending and they had a rough time getting more contracts in the United States because of the Buy America Act. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/premiers-meeting-trade-climate-1.5206877 Quote Economics trumps Virtue. QuebecOverCanada
It's simple, with its massive immigrant population, Ontario is granted for the Liberals. Why would they invest in there? Try to get new votes elsewhere is a smart move.

Even some Americans try to make Canadian threads 'America' and then bitch in the US threads when people are actually talking about the US. It would make no sense at all if the voters of Ontario did not vote for Scheer. They already got rid of one corrupt liberal outfit so why would they want to put in another already crooked federal liberal party back in power? It would make more sense for the Ontario voters to want to have a federal conservative party in power in Ottawa. If not then the battle between the Ottawa lieberals and the Ontario conservatives would continue on and on if they put the lieberals back in power in Ottawa. The Ontario voters could not be that stunned could they? Hey, one never knows, eh?
