He is too stupid to realize it is not even vaguely legal (and we as a nation are too stupid to realize it should be and can be prosecuted), and it sure as hell is not there to serve any "right wing" political agenda.

And yet the rich got richer and the powerful got more powerful.

That's the right-wing agenda in a nutshell.

The right wing agenda is simply for greater personal freedoms.   Freedom of choice, freedom of association, property rights, right to life, etc.   Along with that goes personal responsibility.  The left wing agenda is to have collective rights and freedoms that override personal rights and freedoms.  Responsibility to the left is collective and/or that of the state.  Both profess to try to obtain equitable distribution of wealth and privilege for the benefit of all.  Right believes you need to earn it, left believes you are automatically entitled.

The national (and now seems worldwide) religion of greed has little to do with "right wing" or "left wing" politics.  The greedy simply use whatever political system they can rent or buy to achieve uneven distribution of privilege - and thus resources.  No different from any other religion.

No.  Wait ... yes.  When Trudeau Sr. was PM.  And when Chretien was PM and said Alberta was different they collectively shat their pants in a great Western fart heard coast to coast.   Oh, and when they made the Reform Party and those guys said would never take a government pension.  Of course they did but the West didn't get mad at that come to think of it.

They get mad at Toronto but when the Raptors make it to the final everybody calls it "Canada's Team".  I guess they live above a lot of oil, so that makes them smart.  Doesn't matter that they sell it to American companies to take it out of the ground.

Trudeau just spent billions of dollars to buy the pipeline and keep things rolling but they still hate him.

Alberta's pissed off ?  Ok, well nothing new there.

I know weed is legal, but you need to slow down.

The "Right" wants to control and limit sexual and reproductive lives (gay rights, gay marriage, denying transsexual existence, abortion); they want to control and limit people's choice (religious apparel, right-to-die); to blame and punish those who fail to adequately conform to capitalism (disabled, elderly, minimum wage workers).

The "Right" refuses to take responsibility for their rejection of others - past or present.  Whether its dismissing or excusing what happened in residential schools, and their continuing racist rhetoric against First Nations or how Canada has treated past immigrants.  The "Right" had to dragged, kicking and screaming, into a more enlightened age that offers equal rights for women and gays; currently they fight against equal rights for transsexuals and (certain) immigrants.  The right still refuses to accept responsibility for their anti-(brown)-immigrant rhetoric and the effect it has on minorities of color in Canada.

As far as I can tell, the "Right" is entirely interested in providing freedoms and rights to White, heterosexual Christian people who have money.   The rest of the people can go hang, out-of-sight, and keep their mouth shut.

Indians want to buy our collectively owned pipeline . . .

Mr. Dress-up purchased it for 'us' . . .

You want to sell your portion of said pipeline ?

That was before the tanker ban bill.  Look - environmentalists do not see Trudeau as a friend either.  Maybe he's trying to actually find a middle way ?

So, he bought an un-built pipeline for $4.5 billion of our tax dollars and THEN signed onto the West Coast tanker moratorium, a bill that will effectively kill the expansion and Canada's oil exports altogether.  So how does that "keep things rolling", as you put it?

I don't know what the plan is to keep it rolling through this tanker ban but if he wanted to 'kill' the industry he could do that.
