JOVIAC
With Star Wars opening in theaters everywhere in only a few hours... one has to wonder whether this Belinda Stronach move to the Liberals was a marketing ploy by Hollywood. I mean the characters fit perfectly as well as the plot, not to mention the timing. One can't help but see similarities. Let's examine this scenario. 1. Anakin Skywalker was thought to be the 'chosen' one - as was Belinda when found by the Conservatives. 2. The force is strong in Anakin - as it is in Belinda ($$$ Millions strong) 3. Anakin was the apprentice to Obi-Wan Kenobi - Belinda was the apprentice to Steven Harper. 4. Anakin didn't want to play by the rules - Belinda... dido. 5. Anakin doesn't get his way and is seduced by the powerful Dark Side - Belinda gets seduced my Paul Martin (or should I say the emperor). 6. As a member of the Dark Side, Anakin now changes the power balance – Exato mondo with Belinda. 7. The battle begins (Star Wars & Parliament) For a great picture click on this link http://spaces.msn.com/members/joviac/
Riverwind
Belinda is better cast as Princess Amidala: who, after being unable to stop Anikan Skywaker (Steven Harper) from turing to to the dark side, turns to the bumbling and divided Jedi Council (the Liberals and NDP) for help. Despite their faults the Jedi Council is the only force for good in the Galaxy that is willing to fight against the dark forces of self-centered greed and hatred of people who are different.
