well the first poll released since the middle of march indicates that the Liberals have yet to be affected by the recent testimony at the gomery inquiry...

Libs 36% -1%

Cons 30% +1%

NDP 19% -1%

Bloc 11% 0%

and of note 48% of Canadians say no issue is worth an election over, and only 12% belive the Gomery inquiry is worth an election. Have the liberals been given a get out of jail free card or will it just take a few more days to see some shifts...as another poll released in quebec showed a 10% Liberal drop, and this poll only 2%.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Political junkies and partisan pundits are outraged and rightly so, but I wonder how a cynical public will look at it. Could people be so inured towards political corruption that this won't make a dent?

well environics is a fairly reputable pollster, but yes this poll was started before the ban was lifted

Well the polls will be different now that the ban has been lifted and the Conservative bias media has ranted like hell!

I think an over zealous media can swing an election.

CageRattler how right you are, narrowminded is what the Liberals are, not just just corrupt, incompetent, liars and They do control the CBC , Global Televsion and the Winnipeg Free Press ( ok it used to be free but no longer ) The Toronto Star, The Ottawa Citizen, The Grope and Flail and on it goes.

The Conservatives have no control at all over the media only the LIberals do. The changed the CRTTC Policy to make it works on their behalf and it does.

That is why Freedom of the Press died years ago, the Liberals made sure of that.

By the way, the Adscam situation is only the tip of the iceberg of how corrupt the Liberals are. There are Billions and Billions of dollars in allotted contracts to Liberal supporters and also for vote buying.

Perhaps most of this will surface publicly although that will be tough because of the Liberal Controls on the media. But for starters $1.2billion given to Bombardier every couple of years, $500 million given to the helicopter contract winner so that they can keep the money but not build safe machines for our brave military pilots to fly, Billions being given to the Liberals favourite helicopter manufacturer to build machines that won't last as long or be as safe for the miltary pilots to fly, CIDA there is a huge can of worms, Crown Corporations another huge can of worms.

I believe it is only the tip of the iceberg, the corruption is long and deep. However, I believe the sheeples in Ontario will continue to vote liberal, you know 'ho hum, its only in Quebec' as they seem to believe the liberal blarney, you know. that they are the 'natural ruling party'.

The voters continue to buy into the misinformationa and half truthers perpetuated by the mainly liberal media, not to mention the liberal attack ads at election time.

The conservatives have not been all that great at getting the message out therefore people buy into the lies and propaganda. The health care issue is a prime example of how continually repeating the myth of 'hidden agenda' and 'they will privatize health care like the U.S.' is a generally accepted fact, when it is just not true.
