Royal....er... Presidential Balls

Recommended Posts

What to make of this? What favours do they seek? I, for one would like to see the entire list, that way I know which companies not to do business with....

What are your thoughts on this?

My initial thought is that a Liberal Party of Canada enthusiast condemning politicians for getting donations from private business must have either a keen sense of humour or a numb sense of irony. :P

I don't get it? Are you inferring that the Liberals favour could be granted via Corporate donations? How about our last great Conservative Gov't led by "The Chin" ? He sold us oput completely with NAFTA... ? Please explain?

uh, I don't know if you've cracked open a newspaper in the past year, but yes, the Liberals have been caught granting favor in return for corporate donations. Ask Chuck Guite for details.

The committee plans to raise $35 million to $40 million to help defray the costs of the four-day celebration, including fireworks, the swearing-in, a parade and nine balls

.....and lot's of them. I always thought the normal allotment was two..... :P
