This just means that information will be encrypted between your browser and the server. With being in IT for so long, there is such a risk with sites that are not HTTPS that will help against hackers, attackers and other shenans, but won't stop spam (not much can). Sorry for the delay, but there were a few hiccups that required a few config changes before it would work 100% of the time.
